He wagged his tail a little when she laid close to him and he watched her eat, looking to the clam every now and then. When she urged him to eat, he shook his head, "I will in a little bit, I just want to make sure you get enough."

Nyx smiled at him, and nodded, "alright if you're certain." She said before finishing off the fish that she had placed in front of them. "Thank you, Sammy boy, for watching over the clam." She said and couldn't help but nuzzle up under his chin.

He blinked when he was nuzzled and he nuzzled the topf of her head, rubbing his chin against the horns on her head, "It is not problem Nyxy." he said softly. He then got up and made his way to the water, slipping into the water to catch himself something.

She couldn't help but purr slightly when he had nuzzled her as well, and when he stood and moved to the water, she had watched him go, always having enjoyed watching the way he moved. Shaking that thought from her mind, before it would drift elsewhere, she moved and curled herself around the basket and clam, peeking in to check on it nuzzling it slightly, before she commenced grooming herself, trying to get her fur back in order.

He found himself a fat, juicy crawdad that was skulking about on the riverbed and he surfaced, but ate in the water. Once he was done, he discarded anything he couldn't eat and cleaned off his face before swimming back to shore.

Once Nyx was satisfied with her grooming she sighed and placed her head on her front paws while waiting for Samael to return. "Whatever, am I going to do... I can't make sense of any of these feelings little one, I only hope it will be a long while before you have to go through such confusion." She said softly to the clam, sighing again and then watched as Samael approached them.

Once he was out of the water, he shook his fur out, a good distance away from the two and then started grooming his fur to get the rest of the water off. The last thing he wanted was to catch a chill so close to winter.

Nyx tried her hardest not to let herself watch him groom himself once he was out of the water. So rather then getting caught she lifted her head off of her paws, and smirked slightly as she called to him, "oh Sammy boy... won't you come lay with me?"

He was in the middle of licking down the fur on his paw, is tongue on his fur when Nxy called to him and he looked over to her, paw still up to his mouth. When she asked him to lay with her, he licked the fur one more time and then smirked, making his way over to her and curling himself around her and the clam in the basket.

Nyx couldn't help but purr slightly at the unexpected development, she knew that she had asked him to come lay with her, but she had figured he would have laid down beside her, never did she expect him to curl up around her and the little clam. Giving a content sigh she rested her head on her paws enjoying the warmth that was produced between them, no longer feeling so chilled from the water.

He sighed happily and laid his head down, closing his eyes for a while, enjoying the shared warmth between then which helped chase away the cold from the water.

Nyx found that like this even though they were in a clearing that she was completely relaxed with Samael there wrapped around her and the clam protectively. She closed her eyes and let herself start to drift off to a light sleep. "Samael..." she whispered, and then after a brief content sigh added, "you're going to be a great father some day..."

He blinked his eyes open and glanced at her, but smiled serenly and curled his tail around hers, "I hope to find out one day Nyx..." '...with you...' he thought to himself, closing his eyes and dozing off.

Purring slightly she brought her head closer to his and pulled the clam closer to their bodies, before letting herself drift off into a nap.
When she awoke some time had passed for she had noticed the sun had moved in the sky and that despite the warmth Samael provided it was getting rather cooler. Sighing she realized that she ought to be bringing the clam back to the den before it got to cold.
Lifting her head and nudged at Samael trying to get him to wake up, "Sammy?" She whispered softly not wanting to startle him awake.

He honestly didn't mean to fall asleep the way he did, but he was so warm and comfortable. When he felt himself being nudged and his name being called, he blinked his eyes open and then got up, stretching and yawning, digging his claws into the ground and stretching his wings and tails up.
