"You bet I could? I damn well am good." He shook his head, then grinned. He was mostly kidding, finding himself in a good mood. He looked at the book she offered him, though, and sneered a bit.
A book? He wasn't much for reading.
But he decided to look through it, flipping through it as she answered her phone. He wondered if he should get a book like this. Or steal one. No. Like paintball, music was to be done honestly. After all, he had paid for all his own paintball gear, and now he wanted to pay for his own musical stuff.
Besides the piano Tony had gotten him. That was, he supposed, a different case.
He still hadn't thanked Tony for that one.
Deciding he was done with the lesson today, at least, he got to his feet, holding the book for he and waiting for her conversation to end.

Lily turn to see the boy standing with the book in his hand and gave a smile before saying goodbye to her mother.
"Sorry about that," she said before looking him over, "guess your done for the day then." She laughed lightly and grabbed the other things from piano. She quickly searched her purse for a pencil and pulled out the sheet music they had been using.
"I'm Liliana," she said grinning why she scrawled her name and number across the top of the sheet music. She handed it to him, "If you ever want another lesson, just call. Oh and you can have that too." She was referring to the book he had.
Lily's phone wrang again and she frowned. She looked to the boy and waved goodbye, "I have to go. Apparently I'm late for recital practice."
She turned to leave but her mumbling, "that I did not even know I had," could be heard as she headed out the shop.

Nate frowned at the paper she handed him, looking at the notes, but at least he got free stuff out of the deal. Even if, at the moment, he didn't know how to read half of it. He nodded at her number, wondering if he would take her up on the offer.
He wasn't sure he was much for lessons, either. First reading, now lessons.
He was, after all, a highschool drop out. Studying just wasn't his thing. Nor was dedicating himself to lessons, or having other people telling him what to do. Even if they were teaching him. He knew it was important and he wouldn't learn by himself, but he didn't know. He didn't seem troubled by it, though.
"Well, thanks," he said, a bit gruffly. Like he wasn't familiar with the word. He made to leave a little while after her, thoughtfully thumbing through the book she had left him.
