There was a pause, and if it wasn't for the visor, Lucas would see Will giving him a rather odd look.
"And who do I need to ask?" He replied calmly.
What he'd said was to help the guy get his act together, not start making confessions. This was just getting weirder by the moment.
"Could have fooled me. If you're a member of Team Rocket then you have nothing to worry about."

At this point, Lucas realized, he really couldn't keep on avoiding the subject. He'd just keep digging his little hole deeper and deeper until there was no way to climb back out.
"You'd ask Galactic," he said bluntly, crossing his arms in silent resignation. "And I know. That's the reason I joined Rocket when I got to Kodo. Guess it's kind of weird to feel safer inside the headquarters of a criminal organization than in a city full of folks that couldn't care less about who I am, huh?" He grimaced slightly. He really was being ridiculous, wasn't he?

Again there was pause, and then Will laughed. "So that's what its all about. You're a former Galactic, huh? You don't need to worry about them in Kodo."
The red head then turned and started going on his way again, assuming that Lucas would follow. "You won't get anywhere though if you don't stop with the paranoia. Don't worry, I won't tell anyone."

Now that was a relief. Lucas visibly relaxed. He hadn't heard word of operations in Kodo before leaving Galactic, but he hadn't had any way of being sure of it. He'd be breathing a lot easier on his way back to the base.
"Thanks." He fell into line at the man's side. "And uh... sorry. I guess I made things kind of awkward, eh?" He could only heave an embarrassed laugh.

Will smirked slightly. "Don't worry about it."
"I'm Will by the way." He continued as they went on their way to the storage facilities.
"So what made you leave Galactic? Other than the ridiculous haircuts?" Yes, he'd heard about Team Galactic and their notorious... fashion sense.

"Lucas. Good to meet you." He hesitated slightly as he considered the answer to Will's question. It was not for lack of trust, though. He simply had never needed to put it into words before and was somewhat unsure of how to do so.
"Uhh, well... I was an elite. I guess I was... nice. To the lower ranks, I mean. They'd come to me asking about this or that. Their missions, their pokemon, their love lives... whatever they needed. There was a faction that turned rebellious, though. Because of my position and because I was always so friendly with them, I stood as a prime suspect. I thought for sure if I stuck around the commander would have my head. So... I left."

Well now that was interesting. Will's brows raised slightly as Lucas continued. "An elite you say? Impressive, I suppose you have good reason to be paranoid if that's the case."
A thought then crossed his mind. "Actually, a Galactic Agent did attack HQ in a mecha a few months back. He's still in custody if I remember right."

Now that was interesting. "Really? What was his name?" Lucas rifled through his memories of the agents he had known, searching for one of an agent that never returned. Depending on the department, he might have even been the one who had authorized the mission... though that was exceedingly unlikely. The man's sanctioned interactions with other ranks had been limited by and large to training, after all.

"Actually, I have no idea. I wasn't actually there, so I don't know the details. You might be able to find out if you look up the official report."
It was interesting to know that there was members of other teams that had defected and gone to Team Rocket instead. He'd never actually heard of that before.

"Hmm, yeah, I'll have to look into that... I wonder if they'd let me meet with him." Probably not. Retrospectively, it sounded like a bad idea to meet with anyone who might have recognized him from Galactic, and Lucas discarded the plan entirely. He needed them to think he was dead, and turning up in front of an agent, even one that was likely to be detained indefinitely, wasn't the best way to cement that theory.

A dubious brow rose behind Will's visor at that. "I'm not sure about that, but I doubt it. Why would you want to?" After all, the guy was a Galactic traitor, an elite no less. What could he possibly gain from talking to that guy?
Their trajectory continued on until they made it to a lower level where the storage facilities were. Again Will looked at the call number before nodding. "It'll be in here." And with that, he gave a swipe of his key card and passed through large automatic double doors into what was a huge warehouse type of facility. There were rows of supplies stored here. Just about everything Team Rocket could need or want in the maintenance of their buildings.

"Yeah, I don't know where I was going with that idea... It might be kind of fun to mess with him, though. 'What the hell are you doing here, grunt?! You can't even manage to break out of a brig like this? How did you ever pass training?!' Or something." He laughed, rubbing at the back of his neck. "Probably not a good idea, huh? Even if only for fun."
He raised his eyebrows when the door was opened. It was an impressive array - a veritable wall of anything-and-everything. Passingly he wondered if the outpost stocked everything the headquarters building ever used.

Will couldn't help a smirk at that. As fun as it probably would be to mess with the Galactic's mind, somehow, he doubted it would be a good idea or even approved.
"Probably not," he agreed. "Besides, I don't know if its a grunt or not. Could be another elite for all you know."
Again Will looked at the piece of paper he held and sighed. These rooms were big and even with the right number, it took time to find things despite the organization. After a moment, he started to lead the way down the aisles, keeping his gaze tilted towards as he read the signs that were used to categorize everything.

Lucas shuddered. "Yeah, I think I'll avoid that one..."
He followed Will into the maze of shelves and boxes and items, glancing around himself and marveling at the sheer amount of stuff. "Jeez, what all do you guys keep here?" It was more an absent wonder than an actual question, but it found its way to his voice nonetheless.

Will grinned and gave a short laugh.
"What don't we have here is a better question, actually. I've never seen the actual inventory list, but pretty much we have everything we could ever need here. Since its underground, this base also serves as an emergency shelter should something happen at HQ."
They passed down a few more aisles, eventually going into the essentials supply area. Eventually they stopped in front of a crate that bore the number that had been on Lucas' piece of paper. There was a picture of smiley faced soap suds on the front.
"Looks like you're taking back some soap."
