So she wasn't the only hungry one! Rosa dipped her head and crunched into the apple. Oh! It was so tart and delicious and absolutely perfect!. Swallowing the piece in her mouth, she smiled gratefully at Diego. :I love apples, especially the really tart ones. It's like they're saying 'wake up' or 'hello!'" She giggled at that thought, talking apples would be a sight to see indeed!

Talking apples would ...probably keep Diego from ever eating another apple. How could he eat something that talked back? And he did love his apples. He was a sort of apple connoiseur. "You should try that tree when the apples first grow, then. They're so sharp, they'll make your ears hurt." Well, they made his hurt, at least.

The rose tattooed mare's eyes widened considerably. "That's really sour!" She'd never had an apple so sour that it hurt her ears. They often made her shudder when they hit her tastebuds, but that was as bad as it got. She'd have to try it sometime!
Looking the stallion over after eating her fill, she asked him, "What do we do now?" owo

Diego nodded enthusiastically. "I like the apples that are sweeter, later in the season. They are bigger, too, so there is more to eat." Not that he was a glutton, but why not enjoy the food when it was there?
He thought, tapping a hoof against the ground and giving his wings another little stretch. "What would you do, if you could do anything?"

Rosa thought for a moment, then immediately replied, "We should go on an adventure! Yes, an adventure to see fun things!"
She wiggled excitedly and giggled. "Adventure! Please Diego? Please, please, please?"

An adventure! Diego was always up for an adventure. Of course, having wings made it much easier to find new places to explore, places that other soquili couldn't easily get to. She certainly wasn't small enough to be carried anyway, so they'd just have to travel the old fashioned way. It'd take longer, but he had no other pressing plans.
"Have you been to the water?" he wondered. "There are caves there, and some times jelly blobs wash up on the shore. Or, we might find a water soquili!"

Rosa let out a cheer. She loved adventures and really loved company. Sides, Diego was pretty good looking. Giggling to herself, she answered her new companion, "I like the water. Oooh....what's a jelly blob?" She'd never seen a creature called a jelly blob before! It sounded....well blobby obviously, but rather sticky too.
"I've never seen a water soquili. Are there lots of them?

What's a jelly blob? He thought the description was a pretty good one, since he didn't have another name for them, but he supposed if she'd never seen one, it could be confusing. His wings rustled in something like a shrug. "They are ...blobs. They have no shape, really. And they are soft, everywhere, and sometimes a little see-through. They lay on the sand and ...do nothing. That made sense, right?
Caught up in her enthusiasm, he flicked his wings again and grinned. "I don't know about lots. I have only met one, ever, but if there is one, there must be more, don't you think? We'll go and look."

"I wonder if jellyblobs are sticky..." thought Rosa out loud. It was an odd question, but something she thought might be important, especially since she'd never actually seen the creature, let alone touched one before. She didn't want to end up having one stuck on her hoof and hurt it by accident.
"Which way to the water? I want to see if we can find a water soquili or any jellyblobs. This sounds like it will be lots of fun!"
Rosa was definitely more excited now with the promise of two new creatures to see. Places to see, things to explore, and a new friend. Things couldn't get any better in Rosa's mind. She was more than ready to head out.
