She rustled her wings in annoyance and suppressed the urge to wince as a small pain shot through one of them. It wasn't sprained, just a bit stiff. That was all. A good flight would work that right out.... later.
"I could fly faster," she agreed, haughtily. "It would be nothing for me. But as there was no rush, I decided to enjoy the scenery and walk."

He watched the winged mare adjust her wings and once more the thought of flight crossed his mind, but he probably wouldn't enjoy it as much as most others would. Heights weren't his sort of things, and neither was falling. Flying, to him, seemed like a lot of height and a lot of falling. He wasn't sure he'd like that very much at all, but it was interesting to think about.
"Of course!," He agreed calmly, so as not to seem overeager, "Well then allow me to stay out of the scenery and join you for that walk." A charming smile found it's way back onto his lips as he made his way around the mare to the opposite side so that he wasn't on the side nearest the water and began to walk. If she shooed him away, he would leave, but he liked the idea of spending a little more time with this mare, to see how she saw the beach and the ocean, and walking along her side as she made her walk along the sand would be able to lend him just that opportunity.

She frowned at the stallion who had just invited himself on her stroll. No, not stroll, she reminded herself. She was a mare on a mission! One that she had every intention of fulfilling. Still, watching him pull ahead of her sparked that competitiveness inside her and she quickly kept pace with him.
"What makes you think I want your company?" she demanded, keeping one eye on him. She didn't quite trust him, but she wasn't as concerned now that he was on her uninjured side. Not that she was injured.

He could have grinned when the mare pulled up beside him, but decided that was an expression best kept to himself. But when she challenged him, he stopped immediately and turned his head to look at Thosi for a moment before quickly adding, "I must have misunderstood! I do not wish to crowd you, I merely thought that a nice stroll would be enjoyable. But do not let me interfere!" He bent a knee and bowed his head, "I shall be on my way, fair Thosi Pandryl. I hope I may look on such beauty again."
With that, he turned to leave, now sure that he had overstayed his welcome. If he left now, he figured that he may have a chance at meeting her again. But only time would tell such things. This experience had taught him a thing or two, whether conscious or shoved to the back of his mind for now, he would be happy to come across this mare in the future.

Thosi scowled at his back for a moment as he left. She should have felt victorious, after all he had backed down in a sense. Still, for some reason, she had a feeling she hadn't seen the last of the stallion.
Ah, but that was a concern for another time. Once he was what she seemed a safe distance away, she continued on her path, firmly reminding herself of where she was going and what she was doing, least she be distracted.
