"Excuse me, Miss?" Shadow heard the comment, he didn't say it rudely, it was just that...well the circumstance was rather awkward to him. And he wondered why she would seek his attention so...but he did not know that wasn't her intention,that she had a bad habit.
He had turned to face her, his golden-coloured eyes taking her sitting form in, examining this person who spoke in third person about the world around her. Are humans really this oblivious, or can I say crazy?
His face remained passive,calm.

Kachi broke out of her little stream of thought and turned to him. "Hmm?"
She felt a jolt run through her body. "What was that?" Kachi thought as she turned towards the gentleman. Something about him made her body tense.

The snow fell softly outside the window as the small crowd inside muttered incoherently.

"Ah, nevermind," He said to her, shaking his head. He started to leave, walking past her. I got to go find that one book instead of meddle with the children here.

Kachi shrugged to herself then bounced off the couch. She went straight to the small library near the cafe'. Nessai was busy taking orders to pester her about being a bookworm. She scanned the shelves for a new book.

Shadow was looking for a particular book on the shelves. If they didn't have it, then it was bad luck for him.
Then he spotted the girl from before. She must have followed me over here...
He used the shelf in front of him like a baracade, looking at the books, and then at Kachi, just to make sure she wasn't following him around.

"Kya! heart A 1800's book on vampires and werewolves. What a find!" Kachi squealed as she pulled an ancient book off the shelf. "Nessai! When did this come in?" Nessai was stocking the bake case at the time. He lifted his head to see what she was talking about. "Oh. That came in this morning." Kachi hugged the book to her chest and gave a big smile.

Shadow's eyebrow twitched....what's with all the kya!?
He returned to scanning the shelves.
His mind slowly went back to a memory about a certain vampire he had met on his travels...but that was a while ago, and the vampire slain. His thoughts went back to book-searching.
Aha! A small dusty book was taken from the shelf, the cover was a faded black leather, and the spine had Renor Voiry inscribed on it.

Kachi was just about to grab an old black leather book when the gentleman from earlier grabbed it. Her face turned into a pout but she straightened it with a friendly smile. "Excuse me I was about to get that book." She didn't like to be rude but she really wanted it.

Nessai looked up from what he was doing. He knew how aggressive she got over books. Last time he had to escort the other person out. Who throws water at someone over a book? He remembered that lady. Boy was she a spit fire....

"Umm....I'm afraid I'm already checking it out.." Shadow had inched his way and scooted towards the counter. Don't tell me this girl has an obsession with these kind of books...I bet she doesn't even know the langauge of this one....heh, no one knows...

"Look I will trade you! I neeeeed that book. It's the only other book I can find in my special language." She is getting testy and is determined to get the book now. She is starting to puff out her chest and her brow begins to crease.

Shadow had goosebumps on his arms, but then he calmed down.
I bet she's just bluffing about knowing this.....heh can't be so sure...
" If you want this book so badly, you can share it with me, 'little girl'. "
He stuck his tongue at her.

She shook her head. "I need to finish reading it then I can give it to you....if you know what it says that is." She lifted an eyebrow as she tucked the book under her arm. Nessai stood behind the counter serving a young girl but he kept an eye on Kachi the whole time.

Nessai was sure that he'd have to show the gentleman to the door.
People seemed to get fired up around Kachi. She always had her head in the clouds or her nose was shoved in a book. Either way she wasn't very social and that caused trouble. Nessai wouldn't stick up for her so much but the owner loved her and would never think of kicking her out. No matter how much a fuss she raised.
