"Hm," Zirconia trotted over to pull the purse out from under the bench and looked around briefly just to make sure no one was lurking to watch her and shifted back to Zee so she could swing the bag over her shoulder.

Zia suddenly found it appropriate to flood back into control again and started frantically patting herself down to make sure she was all there and took inventory of her painstakingly organized purse. "Oh my god I could kill that cat sometimes," She growled to herself, checking for the third time that her wallet was still there.

She looked back up to Azzo and cringed a bit. This was awkward and embarrassing and she had no idea how to phrase what was going on without sounding like a schizophrenic on top of the whole being a talking cat lady thing.

However, Zirconia was sick of cake and diet food and seized control with no problem while Zia was busy with that whole confused and embarrassed issue. When she didn't have to share a stupid body she could eat all day long and not have to worry about some weight-centric waif ramble about calories or fat intake or silly things.

She stood up straight and smoothed out her skirt with classic Zirconia pride and gave a 'tsk'. "The original owner of this body is worried you'll think she's sch-izo... fre... something. Let's go find food," She said and would've run ahead but was slowed down by the fact Zee was the expert in moving in heels and Zirconia rarely ran wild in a bipedal form. The result was... not graceful.

Azzo watched and then lofted a brow at Zee. "Schizophrenic?" He asked with a pause.

"Heh honestly by now, if she's nuts I am to." He said with a shrug, still finding it weird that a cat could go from human to cat. He walked beside of her almost wondering if he'd have to catch her to keep her form falling.

He paused, "So wait... you actually have two... um... 'minds' in one body?" That seemed a bit odd, but, stranger things have happened right? Right now though, he was cursing his psychology book that he had in hand. He wondered if that went for the rest of them, wondering how really awkward it would be to have to deal with that.

"Anyways... What do you want? There's a decent burger joint, food's kinda greasy but cheap, the coffee shop rarely has 'real food' though... hm... There" He trailed off while he was scanning the area to see what else there was, he was generally keen on keeping up with food places anyways. "Oh yeah, there's a small dinner a block over that way. They have decent food as well." He gestured in the direction of the dinner.

"Yup," Zirconia stated, just happy he bit. It was an awkward conversation to have, especially since she had automatic red flags popping up all through out her brain.

Identities and whatnot were supposed to be secret. You're being a blabbermouth, again, Zirconia.

That's what they usually said, but Azzo was a special case, she had to remind herself, and it was probably for the best to share some information with him so he's less of a liability and more of a possible asset. With as much as he knew her parallels she had already decided he should be one or the other, and if he was a threat or a liability he'd have to be eliminated.

Still 'Oh, by the way, I'm not crazy, I'm just using this body as a vehicle' was a very difficult subject to bring up.

"Two souls. One's the original, and one is me."

That was all she wanted to elaborate on. The inner conflict that stemmed from her constant bickering with Zee's wants and needs wasn't something she was proud of since it seemed like another show of incompetence on her part.

She listened to Azzo's suggestions and looked blank for a moment.

While she doubted any of it would be up to par with the food she was familiar with over the course her pampered years, it still took some puzzle pieces. Zia liked coffee, to the point caffeinated coffee drinks were an unhealthy portion of her diet. Burgers were bad, she had said, but Zirconia was starting to think she thought all substantial food was bad, so in a fit of compromise, she nodded and simply said "Diner." And was ready to follow him. "What's that about?" she asked, pointing down to his psychology book.

Azzo chuckled softly. "I see."

He paused giving her a sideways glance, "Must be hard to get use to."

He gave a nod when she said Diner, "Diner it is. They have pretty decent home cooking." He said as they walked. "They're not like crystal cook or gram's but they're close."

Her gesturing to the book brought his attention downward. "Oh, this?" He scratched the back of his head. "Well it's a psychology book. Basically the study of human behavior." He added, "My grandfather was a psychology and hypnotherapist; he kinda got me interested in it."

He paused. "It's interesting to say the least." He paused, "Your... human might know something about it."

"Hrmph," Was the only response that came from the older girl, a mild, stubborn frown on her face the only indication of the mini war with herself. Anymore it seemed the two entities could function as one but there were certain times, like now, where there were explosive disagreements like diet and how free time was spent where things came to an almost standstill. Zirconia tried to remain quiet and dormant when using Zee's civilian identity, letting her host be the dominant one, but she was not backing down at the prospect of having real food and not 'coffee' or diet 'meals'.

"Sounds good," Was the final, flat response. Zia Connolly had emerged semi-victorious under threat that her other personality was going to flare up and throw a fit if there wasn't at least an acceptable amount of meat on that plate.

"Oh, hypnotherapy! Does that even work?" She asked, needing something to harp on, since she found the position Zirconia had left her in to be just a little awkward.

Azzo watched the hustle and bustle as he was talking to Zirconia, or who he thought to be Zirconia. He looked curiously at the flat response, however he didn't say much.

He paused, "It depends on the person really. Gramps was good at it." Azzo replied as he walked, "Really it works best when the other is open to the suggestion and willing to be hypnotized." He explained, "Otherwise it doesn't really work as well."

There was small, meaningless chit chat that dotted the minutes it took to relocate, but it seemed it was mostly in the skull that housed dual type of crazy, leaving out the near hostage Zirconia had lost interest in hostilely interrogating further but wasn't quite ready to release yet.

Sitting in a booth, ordering her usual caffeine fix instead of a soda and something else warm to counteract the effects of winter, she had time to converse with the younger kid all on her own without the cat's interference, especially since Zirconia's stalkerish tendencies were being projected onto Azzo as a surrogate after the ordeal at the masque.

"So. Azzo, right? Do you go to high school or DCU or what?" She asked, trying to drum up some more chit chat, and also get to know him a little bit through a more socially acceptable means than Zirconia's 'recon'.

It didn't take them all that long, the walk however had turned from weird, to quite. He seemed a bit curious as to what'd happened but he didn't say much

When they were sitting at a booth he ordered a soda and something to eat. He tilted his head at Zirconia, or Zee, whoever it was, asked the question. "Last semester of highschool." He replied with a sigh it, "Dunno if I'll go to SHiLP. or DCU after this."

"Oh, Shlip!" Zee could get into this conversation, and not just for the vehicle it provided for bragging. "It's awesome. I'm in my last semester there. I'm going to start university with so many credits. What are you going to major in? You have a plan, right? Right?" She probably would've rambled on further without giving him a chance to answer before a waitress poured her coffee and she grabbed at the mug, trying to cool it down just a little before trying to guzzle it.

And then after a bitter reminder that diners, unlike overpriced coffee shops, expected you to mix in your own cream and sugar she attacked the little plastic box holding the sugar packets and little creamer tubs, fiddling to rip them open with her cumbersome nails.

"I guess leaving high school can be sad too. You have friends and stuff, right? Where are they moving on to? Hey!" She stopped her own self in her own line of questions, her brain obviously functioning at a different pace than this conversation. "If you're a high school senior, you can drive, right?"

Azzo watched curiously as she went on. He pondered, "Eh I was thinking of going for Psychology, I don't think they offer puppet classes." He said jokingly.

He watched as she mixed up her coffee and shrugged, pondering. "Well considering I was apparently missing for about a year of my life," He shook his head, "I should've graduated last year really." He was playing with his straw in his soda.

"I've still gotta get them.... again maybe? It kinda knocks a few things in the head when you don't remember a year." He tried to chuckle about it.

Zia quirked an eyebrow, giving Azzo a look like his quip about a lack of puppet classes as a borderline offensively bad pun.

"I suppose psychology can be a useful field," She said as if she was trying to forget it and sipped her fully sweetened coffee while the carnage of shredded splenda packets littered the table space in front of her.

His mention of losing a year of his life rang a bell, though. There was a disaster about something or something and a thing that she couldn't quite place but she read about in the papers and made casual "oh how horrible" conversation about once upon a time.

Still, it was never safe to assume, especially about something she only half knew about in the first place, so she took the cautiously polite route and asked with a mustered amount of concern, "Oh, wow... what happened?"

Azzo was sitting there thinking as he watched the shredded packets lay on the table. The 'oh how horrible,' comment made caused Azzo was trying to figure out what he was doing.

"What I was told," he said with a pause, "Was that there was an organ ring, covered I suppose as a school.... I don't remember much 'cept waking up in the hospital with broken ribs."

He paused, "There's a gap of a year that I don't remember at all. Nothing of it. There's still the occasional person I should remember, they remember me anyways. However, I don't remember them at all. So I don't know really what happened..."

They sat there and talked for a good while, Azzo answering questions and occasionally asking a few himself. Once their meal was finished and paid for Azzo glanced at the time and apologized because he had to leave. "It was nice meeting you." He added before he retreated out the door of the restaurant and into the street.
