Istas looked over at her and had to think carefully. "I don't think you should think of it as damage. You simply have a different type of family, and there's nothing wrong with that.And if you feel ashamed of it, then... Maybe that's not the family style you should be in. You should be proud of the mate you choose and raise you're family with. And do it as such. "
Emiko's eyes widened as something territorial growled inside of her. There was nothing wrong with her family, and she knew that. She pushed the monster back inside of her, remembering what Istas told her about getting worked up. "Emiko could never be ashamed of Ellial or Zaitus, and certainly not Tequila." She sighed, lipping at a few blades of grass. "But... Emiko does not know what kinds of horrible ideas biggoted Soquili will put into her babies heads. Emiko loves her babies, and Tequila will too, and so will Zaitus and Ellial. But like Emiko said before, we are a very strange family. Not everyone is as accepting as you and your family. When Emiko's babies come to her one day with tears in their eyes because some horrid little creature called them names because they have two mommies, what will Emiko do?"
"I think, you and your family will be fine. You will take things one day at a time, and you're teach your foals to be strong, and to be proud of their family. There are some things you can't always plan for. And I think this is one of them. You already know the worst case scenario. But you shouldn't think to negatively about it. "

Istas sighed some. It felt like nothing was reaching the mare. Istas wasn't to sure how many times she could say, take it one day at a time. There's no guide book to be a parent. "As I've been saying, you just have to take it one day at a time. You're foals might never run into those that will speak against you. But you protect them the best you can. but I can't prepare you for everything, because there's more to it, and what I went through won't be the same that you go through. And it's normal to worry. But... If you keep worrying like this, you'll be worn out before they even get there, and it's not good."

Emiko shifted in her place slightly. "Emiko just... doesn't want to be a bad momma. Her momma and daddy were bad, and she knows what that kind of bad looks like, but what about all the other kinds of bad. What if Emiko hurts them and doesn't know it?" Another hoof poked at her stomach, making her wince. "Ouch," she sighed, nosing the foot back from the walls of her stomach. "Never mind after they come out, what about when Emiko goes into labor! How do they get out?! There's not enough room, they'll split Emiko open!"
Istas went through the process of explaining the birthing process... In all its detail. And it wasn't the most pretty imagine. But she took her time and answered the questions Emiko had with some ease. Since birth was similar for most mares.

By the time Istas finished her talking her eyes were wide. Well, she certainly hadn't though that happened. That sounded right painful. No way, there had to be some alternate course Emiko could take. There was no way they were going to -- no, that wasn't even possible! She sat there, motionless. "E... Emiko... Emiko cannot do that! Emiko will... she will die if that happens!" She felt her eyes heat up as her breathing quickened. "Then her babies will be left only to Tequila, she can't do this alone! They need two parents!" She couldn't breath, but at the same time she was breathing all too fast.
"it's natural. You're body will change when the time comes, and everything will be fine. Thats why it's called labor. You're body is telling you it's starting to get ready." She nodded at the mare, and she kept talking to her. Explaining how it would work, and made sure that she calmed Emiko down.

Had Emiko been any younger, had she not had met Tequila, she would have immediatley chalked this up to punishment. However, now she had no other explanations, and this sounded just cruel. He lowered her head, forcing her breathing to slow. After a moment it did, and she was able to speak again. "Th-that sounds horrible," she gasped. "And this doesn't feel like two babies! Emiko thinks she's having three, three babies! Coming form... th-there!"
Istas smiled at her. She had down the same thing. But it was pretty quick... Sure it was a bit painful, but there were worse things out there. And she encouraged Emiko with this. And assured her everything would be fine.

"But... but why? How?" Emiko was shivering with the idea of what was to come. She lowere herself into an odd sort of laying postion and continued to calm herself down. It wasn't working. Her heart was still beating all too fast. Emiko suddenly wished she'd taken all of these things into account before she got herself into it. She wouldn't have done anything differentl but she would have liked to at least mentally prepare herself a little bit more... "Would Lady Istas please be present for the birth? Emiko doesn't know anyone else who has had children."
Istas looked over at her and nodded. It was the least she could do. Istas's birth parents weren't anywhere to be found so she could understand Emiko's position with not having a mother there for this... So she accepted the offer.

Emiko felt a little bit more at ease. "Emiko will work something out with Ellial, then. She doubts you want her living close, what with the fact that she's crazy." Emiko laughed a little and stood, knees cracking under the weight of her stomach. "Her babies are getting too big, soon she won't be able to travel. Ellial is blue, with a black mark marking around his eyes. He will come and deliver any details we work out." Emiko nodded, as though solidifying the plans in her head. "Yes, yes, that should work out. Oh, and... please don't tell Daddy that Emiko is pregnant. She... she wants to tell him herself... somehow."
Istas looked over at her and she nodded some, remembering what the stallion would look like. She nodded again at the mare with a smile, making sure she was able to get up okay. "Okay, I won't tell him. But please do so, sooner rather then later..." Istas hadn't thought about it to much. But Claude didn't know... That would probably be a project.
