Thats like comparing apples and oranges. I wouldn't want to hear Bach with an electric guitar. No WAY!
But Then on the other hand there isn't anyway I'd want Iron Maiden to play acoustic.
Acoustic Personally. Electric I think is better for jamming out.

With their permission, of course.I guess I'm in that club, too. Whenever I'm at my friends' houses I'll ask to play their guitars. It's amazing how many friends I have that have guitars but never play them. . .

I personally love combining the two, i think you get a great sound from a heavy electric guirtar with an acoustic right behind it playing hard, but i do enjoy playing electric more mostly because i play lead in my band, but when i sit down to play by myself i do alot of acoustic stuff.
Epiphone All the Way!!!!

Now this is where I disagree with many people... I have a Martin HD series acoustic guitar, no elctric pickup no nothing just straight box... although I like to play my electric on occasion, nothing, and i mean nothing sounds better to me than a perfectly tuned acoustic..... and the odd thing about my opinion and view is that I started playing on an electric...
