If I had any courage whatsoever, then I'd give something to a guy.
And I don't like getting lots of gifts. It's sort of a self centered holiday.
So I'm with ya, I guess.

While it's all fine and dandy to oppose V-Day, I think we should name some reasons other than "I'm lonely and you suck." Valentine's Day not only encourages insane amounts of consumerism, it is also oppresively hetero-normative and reinforces unhealthy societive rules.
Contrary to what Valentine's Day teaches us it's possible to be a happy and healthy person if you're single, in a triad or otherwise polgamist relationship, in a same sex relationship, etc.

Of all the people I've spoken to, almost all of the girls disagreed with my cause. Why? Because they're usually the ones getting the gifts! If you love or care about someone then you don't need a day to show them. You should be showing them all year. hey hey hey i maybe be a lil late on this, but im all about giving on valentines day! i got my husband a jenna jameson poster, a card and i will be givin him some great sex... its not just about recieving.. im all about shoppin for my friends and loved ones thus why i got everyone hello kitty v-day cards!!! its not about just gettin... if that were the case then no would would be gettin anything! HA!! and as for not needin to get them somethin to prove yer love its just nice to give and get little gifts every now and then

A.R.G.U.S Mykal Where does it say that V-Day is only for straight couples? yea really if i had a girlfriend i would still get her a valentines day gift and lovin i never saw anything stated that you have to be a male-female couple to celebrate and as for being single on v-day it is also to celebrate friendship as well and i never got taught anything about v-day all i know is that its about love and roses lol nothin else really...
