Well there wasn't exactly a Meiji government just a group of influencial people put into positions of power...it sounds like it but not exactly. Like they show in the manga Japan was still going under reform long after the bloody battles had ended. 3nodding

I've Learned a bit about japanees history (most from the manga) and a bit or two about kendo.

Rurouni Kenshin didn't teach me half as much as it inspired me to learn. Like, I would see something going on in the Manga that doesn't have much to do with the plot, but it's Kenshin related, so I MUST know! Needless to say, It's not hard to think up an essay topic. xd

True. I learned that they are still teaching Kenshin's technique (the name evades me) in Japan. I knew a little about Kendo before but I learned some Japanese from the manga!

A list of things I've learned:
1. Never ever kill your wife/husband in front of thier younger sister/brother, even if it's on accident. The little one will come after you.
2. Although having a split personality is uber-sexy, in general, try to stay as one person to avoid killing random people.
3. Hannya's spell-- Wearing sleaves with strips width-wise to make your arms look thicker and the meanies will underestimate your arm's length so you can get a shot in.
4. Don't be a Hiten Mitsurgi Master. It'll kill you.

I see...well. I do have a friend that use to have mutiple personalities but now she just has voices in her head. One day she acted like a cat and my friend gave her a purple marker..and well....let's just say we had to rush her to the bathroom.... sweatdrop

I tried it once and it was fun. My friend kept on jerking her head around even though I didn't hit her. I had a blast. Especially with my crazy friend. Hehe. Sometimes you just love the stuff you pick up. heart
