We used to have some pretty cool silverware, that was entirely functional until we moved into a new house, the house had an attic and a basement and was very cold, back in Upstate NY. Anyway, one morning we looked inside the drawer of silverware and these pieces of steel were hideously warped in strange, non euclidean ways, we tried bending them back but it was just not fixable, I mean stuff doesn't bend like that, and we began to wonder how in the hell this could happen. we never got an answer, and no one we knew could explain it.

Obviously a wild Alakazam got into your silverware drawer and had a fun time. blaugh

keep in mind that the idea that the dead do not leave us immediately after death goes back to the very foundation of civilization in ancestor worship

and despite the Christian Church's best attempt to rid the world of such pagan beliefs they've failed miserably to the point of EPIC failure we're just as pagan as before pre monotheistic mega religions came to be. The best they can do is blame the "evil" demons and sataniel for everything under the freaking sun( but thats for another thread)

Personal experiences

When I was young around 5 we lived in a haunted house ( and while somemight say I made it up. Keep in mind feeling someone running past you in an empty room when you're by yourself and the feeling that your being watched by something in the room. When your parents are asleep seems a little much for a 5 year old to come up on his own

later highschool junior year

I was head sound crew head teacher unlocked the theater building before going for lunch and I was alone coiling the wire microphones and making sure the wireless mics batteries were fresh for the play when I hear a door open and I'm like okay some one's here and so going onto the stage to plug in the mics I here footsteps on the catwalk ( this is the part where I'm like okay someone's pranking me) so I was like nice prank now come down and help me a**hole. and then the footsteps stopped I got mad because I really did need help testing the soundboard

so I go to the door leading to the catwalk and its completely locked ( I didn't have they key so I get offstage and look up there was a dark figure the darted out of my line of sight (know that the catwalk there is only one way off of it and that was the door which was locked and there literally is nowhere to hide then I see the chair move on the catwalk ( I still to this day do not know why on earth there was a metal chair up on the catwalk no one is ever allowed up there long enough to sit down except to change the bulbs)

so I was sarcastic in the exterme and started to clap as the teacher came back from lunch and I'm like real nice Ms. J and looked at me like I was nuts and I said nice joke about putting someone up on the catwalk and she said that we were the only ones here and she hadn't unlocked the catwalk at all... so I was like sure Ms J unlock the door and I'll prove it. So she does and I go up there and I was like there was no one up there... and the chair was completey on the other side of where it was usually was and when I asked later to people in the light crew no one ever I MEAN ever moves that chair except that one day

also the stage lights were known to suddenly flicker or even go off completely at night we all thought it was faulty wiring until the electrican came and said that the wiring was in good condition and there was no reason for it to happen as there is only one way to dim the lights was back in the booth on the lightboard so again we got someone to check it for faulty wiring ( big show was only a day away) it also checked out as not the culprit btw

then there was the soundboard that always was completey messed up the day after ... right after I recalibrated it the day before.( keep in mind that I kept the door locked and only the theater teacher had the key)

and to end my little session

know that the only way to know for sure is to die and then somehow send a message to the living that there are such a thing as ghosts/ spirits before departing elsewhere. and also that people are using technology to try to "prove" the exsistance of such beings such as ghosts/ spirits

and to date there in all of recorded history is only one case of such a person and that person ascended to elsewhere shortly after giving a message and that person is highly worshipped in christandom

Yokubo-chan (Pee Pee)
Ghosts are not real. Souls do not exist, so neither do ghosts.

Prove they don't. If people have seen it, it exists in some way or another.

Yokubo-chan (Pee Pee)
People on here have said that their are films and pictures of them. How can their be pictures of a soul? In order for something to be in a picture it must be able to have light bounce off of it.

Electrical impulses can be photographed. And most people would agree that ghosts can only be caught on film only if it's a film camera, not a digital one. I personally do not put my faith in ghost photography/video taping, because it's impossible to "prove" ghosts to a second hand party, it's not even possible to prove evps which are caused by electrical disturbances at a high frequency as ghosts, but experiences that lead up to it and the energy felt is a different story all together. I wouldn't expect anyone who hasn't studied the occult and metaphysics to understand, especially angtheists or over-skeptics who demand proof even while all the "proof" the physical world is possible to hold is given about a subject. Proof from another world doesn't exist in this one.

Yokubo-chan (Pee Pee)
From some of these "encounters" I read above me, most of these people are assuming that they have encountered spirits of the departed. "I had the sheets pulled off of me at night, it must have been a ghost, because I don't know what it was!" or "I saw this thing that looked like a person, then it went away, it must have been a ghost! What else could it be?"

Well, if all logical explanations do not add up...

Yokubo-chan (Pee Pee)

It could be anything.

Including a "ghost"? I agree.

Yokubo-chan (Pee Pee)
I think someone needs to prove that souls exist.

Impossible. Because the definition of "ghost" would change if scientists found out in the first place. Because an abnormality in this reality is impossible to prove to an outside party unless directly experienced. Because there is not enough proof to prove things that even actually exist. have you ever heard of nihilism? Some people believe in that, even while all the proof in the world of the reality around them is "real". You can't just let other people going around telling you what reality is or not, you have to experience it for yourself.

Yokubo-chan (Pee Pee)

I know that this was not the goal of this thread, but I had an opinion (abridged) that needed to be voiced.

I think the worst "proof" of existence for 'ghosts' is that people say there have been so many encounters. It's opposite to something considered direct experience, which is brushed off by the super skeptics. That is ignoring input your brain receives. We should follow whatever input our brain receives, even if it makes us seem crazy or "oh, she believes anything". Scientists used to believe mercury was medicinal, since it was antiseptic. Back in the day you would've believed it. What's the matter with doing the same thing in your day to day life, even with experiences with "ghosts" until it's otherwise disproven to be something else?
It annoys me to no end when people do this, that they act like they know what lies outside of this physical reality when they've never even opened their ******** eyes to look, because "it's not logical to my human brain".
It has nothing to do with the thread at all, it was just about the best ghost story, really. There's no such thing as second hand proof of ghosts like I've been saying, only first hand encounters which can be pretty creepy sounding.

I concur with this statement and appluad 3nodding heart

I'm kinda skeptical about ghost.

I believe that most ghost stories are fake but some are real.

....I have quite a few experiences, it is said that the people who have near death experiences are left rather...sensitive to ghosts. I honestly believe they do exist from all the stuff I've seen, felt, and gone through.

Well, I can tell you the worst one I have experienced which was at my best friend's house.

She had not been able to sleep in her room for a month, she'd hear breathing by her ear, see stuff in her room, and she told me she'd wake up with claw marks and everything.

I didn't think it was anything that bad going on, nor did I expect what I would go through when I stated there the two weeks I did. My mom let me stay that long because my friend's mom asked her to, she pleaded.

So I did go....

The first few days were just fine nothing out of the ordinary, most I'd feel is something run its fingers across my face as I was just falling asleep, I assumed it was my hair or something or my friend running into me while we were sharing the bed.

The first time something big happened was the fourth day. I was about to fall asleep, and I suddenly felt a sharp pain in my stomach, I sat up coughing and found myself alone in the room that felt like the temperature had dropped below thirty and like I was sitting in the smallest clothes possible, even though I had a jacket on and long warm pants. I looked down at my stomach, ohohooh, there was a huge bruise on my arm. The pain in my stomach felt like when you get kneed in the stomach real hard and you can't breathe. I found it fishy, but went back to sleep, when I was about to go to sleep, I swore I saw the shadow of a woman sitting at the bed, but I shook it of and forced myself to sleep.

....I had really restless sleep, and I woke up with red marks on my arms.

It didn't get worse than that until the Saturday of the second week, my friend said she'd try to stay and sleep in the room. We went to sleep...and after a point I couldn't tell if I was asleep or not, and out of nowhere some tall slender feminine figure was standing above me, and she started screaming, white glowing holes for eyes, then she was sitting on my waist, pinning me down by my arms, but I noticed the screaming was just in my head.

I freaked out and started praying what I could remember in my head as I felt like I was drowning...at some point I blacked out and all I could feel was the unusual burning cold within the room.

Out of nowhere I sit up and the cold of the room isn't as bad as before.

I leave for my home the next day, and my friend then told me she stopped seeing stuff and experiencing out of place events...

I still see shadows now and then, and I dream when someone may go through something terrible.

If that couldn't convince you, then I'm sorry, but its easier for me to tell someone in person... So many things I can't describe just by words, but I would have to show you the feelings I had, what I felt when I'd be pinned those times I have, and it'd be easier for me to describe how it feels to be breathing and feeling like you're drowning at the same time....

I've done my part, hope you guys enjoy.

Well I've come across a few. Otherwise I wouldn't believe. When I was in high school we had a ghost in our apartment, it used to take one strand of my sisters hair then yank it out and it would throw the loaf of bread on the floor from the counter. There was no one near it and it threw it quite far so it wasn't just falling down. There was some evidence of thought and understanding because when my mom told the ghost to cut it out and she knew it was there it stopped doing it. In that same apartment I felt cold spots too. More lately I saw lights at a friends house, she later told me there's a ghost there and it rattled dishes while I was there and we both were maybe 10-15 feet away from them. Here where I live I've heard people walking around upstairs when I was the only one home and once when I was taking a bath it made me cold. I actually thought the water had gone ice cold but when I got out and touched the water it was hot. It also froze my back and followed me downstairs and it was quite warm in the house otherwise. I have radiator heat which is a lot warmer than most types of heating, my room is also the warmest in the house.

I don't know about ghosts, really, but I know for a fact that there are demons in this world. That sounds so corny and stupid when you say it like that, but I was born into a house that held one. I grew up there without giving any second thoughts to the weird s**t that went on in my house. For one, I was a pretty sheltered kid, and for two, I didn't know any better. You know that s**t in the exorcist where the bed was vibrating? That actually happens. I can remember being... I don't know. Very young. I woke up, but the weird part was, I wasn't even that afraid. I was so used to the things that happened in my house that it only slightly scared me. I shared a room with my mother--our "house" was actually a second floor apartment that had two spacious rooms and a conjoined livingroom dining area. Anyway, I turned towards my mother's side of the room and said "Mommy, it feels like there are a hundred men under my bed punching my mattress." I had intended for her to make it stop so that I could go back to bed. But, by that time, it had stopped all on it's own. My mom, being a huge skeptic and in general having denial issues, said the most stereotypical thing you could think of. Come on, say it with me now. "You're just having a bad dream. Go back to bed." Oh, mom. Really? But, I just shrugged it off. It stopped, so no sweat off my back. I rolled over and fell right back asleep.

I can remember staying up at night for hours on end. Something just kept me awake. It's like I wasn't allowed to go to sleep. I would close my eyes and see horrible things that I couldn't really explain or... even grasp at the time. I remember feeling terrified for no reason. I never complained or questioned it, though. I really just thought it was something that everybody had to deal with. I knew no better. I remember the first time I found out how the world worked--not in some complex grown-up ridiculous metaphorical manner, but in a lovely childish way. I laid awake all night without being physically allowed to sleep and I watched night turn into day for the first time. I was amazed. Perplexed, even. I was confused and ...hahah... I'm not sure what I had expected. I always had dark circles under my eyes when I was a kid because of this (still do, just not as bad) but everyone blamed it on me being fair skinned. Anyway, it's a strange thing to say, but there were some positive experiences like that that came from it.

My mom would always blame me for leaving my toys out and throwing them everywhere. As you might guess, I did sometimes, but not every time she chastised me for it. (Later on in life, I actually got her to admit that there was something weird going on there. She would be vacuuming, picked up my things, went to vacuum in the livingroom, and they were all strewed out again. Nobody was home but her. BOOM b***h. toldya it wasn't always me. cool ) turns out, whatever entity was in our house was just a huge douche. It would frequently open all the drawers and cabinets in the kitchen when we weren't home, too. Or even when someone was home and wasn't in the kitchen. Also remember a gay experience when we came home and it had opened the fridge. All our stuff was spoiled. :/ a*****e.

I remember another time, I was taking a nap with my mother (who has always had chronic headaches/migraines, so took naps with me when she could) and I heard something horrible. Right in front of me, in a space big enough for a person between the waterbed and the wall, I heard a great thud. My eyes shot opened. There was nothing there. I knew it was the sound of a person falling onto my floor from several feet high. It just... that's what it was. That's what I heard, and that's what it was. I looked and looked and just stared there for a long time. Mom eventually said "Put your daddy's dufflebag back on top of the closet." (It was a standing closet. We had a regular one in that room, too.) I said "It didn't fall." She said, "I just heard it." I said "An angel fell on the floor beside me. He fell from on top of there!" And I was convinced that's what it was. An angel had fallen right on the floor beside me. I was kind of an odd kid, but I nearly knew that's what it was. Hell, who knows? That same thing happened to me again years later in another house. Strange, but that's another story.

It would mimic me. My brother who is eight years my senior would babysit me while my parents both worked night jobs. One night, I was laying on the couch (or jumping, one of the two) listening to ...hmm... Oh yeah! Hahah I was listening to Shania Twain (I hate country now lol) "The Woman in Me" album, along with Madonna "The Immaculate Collection" and "Pam Tillis: Sweetheart's Dance." ...I remember this well. Not only were those my three favorite albums when I was little and I listened to them all the time, but I remember this night. It stuck out to me. He just stormed into the livingroom (his door faced where he could see me clearly) and said "I thought mom and dad told you not to play in the hallway closet." (It had a large knife in it, a billy stick, and probably a gun or something. It was actually a really big closet. it was long, but not terribly wide.) I just looked at him and laughed. "I've been here the whole time." He didn't believe me because I wouldn't stop smiling, though, and I couldn't stop smiling and laughing because he really didn't believe me. He went back into his room, not fifteen minutes later, he wasn't joking at all anymore. "Have you been sitting right there? You haven't moved?" I said no. I didn't see it happen, but he sure as hell did. I've never seen my brother this scared, and haven't seen it since. The hallway closet door had come back open, and he said he saw a shadow that was about my height (which was around three feet at the time) run into it. He also at some point saw it run out of there and disappear. I'm not really sure when that went down. Anyway, when he went to get a closer look at the closet, he immediately yelled "What the ******** mine and my mother's bedroom, the closet doors were very heavy and made of mirror. They were on a sliding track. One of them was off track, so I wasn't to go near the closet unless someone else was in the room helping me. It was never closed because it was too difficult to get back open. One of the doors could've easily fallen on me if I tried to close it or open it by myself. It was closed, and the light was turned on. Cameron (my brother) was the only person in the house strong enough to close the ********, and he sure as hell didn't do it. He opened it back up and turned the light off. He came back into the livingroom to say something, and on his way back to his room, saw that the doors were closed and the light was on again. At this point, he turned every light on in the house, took a chair, and sat it in the corner of the livingroom where he sat until my parents came home. He could see nearly everything in the house (except for what was in my bedroom) from that point.

I don't like that it mimicked me.

Plenty of strange things happened there, but the strangest didn't come until we moved to London, Kentucky. In this house, we had photographic evidence of whatever was there. By this point, I was 10 years old and had figured out that the things I experienced weren't natural. Like I said, I never really told anyone or complained, though. I just went on my merry little way.
This time, I got a room of my own. It was tiny, but it was mine. After a while of living there, we took in a stray dog. I wanted to name her Tiffany for some ungodly stupid reason, but my brother jokingly said that we should name her Muffin because of her coloring.
Muffin it was.

It took months for anything to happen, but it surely did. Muffin started to act really weird. We would keep her chained up on a dog house in the back yard, or keep her in the garage whenever it was too hot or too cold outside. It was summer, so it was too hot. She would stare at one point in the garage (and it was a different spot from time to time, but usually it was facing the upper right corner.) fur raised, barking like a mad dog. I'd never seen her so vicious before. She would literally bark at it for hours if we'd let her. Instead, we just opted to put her back outside, completely unsure of what was bothering he so much. Mom decided to check the hot water heater just in case it might've been leaking a gas that was hurting her ears or something. It was fine.

My brother had a girlfriend named Jess. We have a picture of her in our garage. Beside her is a weird fog that isn't close enough to be cigarette smoke, and isn't tight enough to be weed smoke. It looked in between both, and was strangely shaped.

About two years after we had lived there, I went to get something to drink in the middle of the night (which isn't usual for me, since I'm known to keep a glass of applejuice or tea or something beside my bed at night. I probably ran out, since I almost remember having a cup with me) anyway, I heard the mos god awful noises coming from the deck. I'd never heard anything like this in my life. It sounded like a pot of animals were being boiled together or something. I could year deep frog noises and all sorts of cat sounds and dog noises and goats and.. kind of like screaming lambs, along with a few that I really couldn't identify. They sounded like they were terrified or in some sort of ******** up mutilating pain. Mixed in with all of that was a very, very deep bass groan of a man. I cried when I heard it, but I couldn't gather the energy to run back to my room. I just backed away, I knew I didn't want to turn my back to that sound. It was coming from beneath my deck outside, but I didn't want my back to it at all. That's one thing that I've always known about this sort of stuff. You always want someone or something at your back. Get against a wall, preferably have a person up against your back, but never turn to it. Also, when you sleep, cover your ears at night. I don't know why, but these things are important if you live in a place like this. Anyway, I back my way through the hallway and closed my door. I just sat on my bed for a long time. I slept with my lamp on for the next two weeks, at the very least. I really, honestly, could never do justice to that kind of noise with words. I'm still not sure what kind of entity that was. It was like nothing I'd ever heard before.

(part 2 )
My extended family came to visit from Virginia (where I'm from, and where I had lived before this) for thanksgiving. My brother had his friend and my two cousins in his room. This is another of his testimonials, but I believe every word of it. The whole family aside from them had been in the livingroom playing cards or Yahtzee or some other form of white people entertainment for hours, but not nearly as long as what he'd thought. He said they could hear the party going on, people talking, glasses and dishes as if people were also eating, some form of muffled music. He never even questioned it until they all decided to go out and do something, opened their door and were pretty much stopped dead in their tracks by the silence of the house. Thing is, none of the rest of the house heard how rowdy they were being, either. We couldn't hear them, and they were oblivious to the fact that we were all in the bed. They just figured that they weren't paying much attention and were too preoccupied with their shenanigans. So, they snuck into the entryway where the closet by the door is, opened it to get their coats... and heard it again. This is the wall in between the entryway and his room. He spread the coats apart and put his ear up to the wall. There was a ******** party going on in the damn wall. He heard the dishes, the people, the music. All in between that wall.
His a** got his coat and left haha.

I've had a ton more experiences than this--Seeing a vision that was imitating my brother (after he had moved out of our house), my brother hearing me talking in the livingroom when I was at school, objects disappearing and reappearing from places where they're literally always kept, animals reacting to things, getting inexplicably hurt, waking up with scratches all down my back and having absolutely no idea how they got there... It's a long short-list that isn't even halfway filled up with all the things I've been through.
Like I said, though, it's just never been a huge deal to me. Sure, being scared for no reason sucks, but I never complained or told anyone about it until my mid-teens.

In the end, hauntings aren't usually ...scary stories. Not really. They're more or less bizarre things that happen. Just a feeling of strangeness, unease. Something you can't explain, but you want desperately to understand. The human mind needs control over the area in which it lives, but we can't control what we don't understand. It's unsettling to us.

OH BY THE WAY, I used to live like thirty minutes away from Waverly Hills Sanatorium. My friend Misty and I were going out of town with her mom one time and passed it. My eyes immediately swelled with tears for no reason at all. I was eleven or twelve. This was well before any big hubbub was made about it. The feeling you get when you're near that awful place... it's overwhelming. I asked Misty "...What is that place?" She just shrugged. It didn't really seem to affect her, but damn did it affect me. I felt uneasy and just... horrible until we got well away from it. The very sight of that place unnerved me, and I knew right then and there that it was a ******** up building--no doubt about it. Not only does it, itself look foreboding, but the heaviness around it--even from the road--is enough to leave you shaking. You'll think about it for the rest of your life. Literally. I never forgot that place. I didn't know what it was, why it was there, or what it was called, but as soon as I saw something on TV about it, I recognized the hell out of it. I screamed out "That's it! That's the place!" ..By this point, I had moved states again and began to tell another friend, Holly, about my experience with it. For such a short time of being near that ********, it sure as hell left a lasting impression.

If you don't believe in ... for lack of a better word, "the paranormal," that whole area around that building will turn you around in no time flat.

the only thing i can offer as evidence is my word that i am telling the truth about my experiences.
1st experience:
when i was about 3 me and my parents where living with my grandmother in a house that she built with my grandpa and other family, friends and there business. they where the first family to live in that house, or on that property. the valley that our town is in was considered poisoned by the native americans of the are, and they refused to go in there, so we knew no one had ever settled on that property before.

this is the only memory i have from when i was that young, because it is burnt into my mind. i remember when i was young, i kept on seeing shadows that would peek around corners, these shadows seemed flat with circular eyes that glowed yellow. the shadows seemed like they where made up of strait jagged lines, and where bone thin. anyways i saw these things constantly for weeks. then one day i decided to follow one.

it led me to the basement, when i turned the corner into the basement i saw a being, wearing fur robes, he had a deerskull for a face. his hands where jagged and black with black liquid dropping off of them, behind him was only blackness. he staired at me and slowly lifted his hand and pointed at me, then i ran like hell up stairs screaming and crying.

i later found out after seeing this demon several times, that it called itself Gamigin, as well as other names i can't remember. it also ended up calling itself insanity, and darkness.

my uncles and aunts also lived in this massive house, they lived in the basements thought, and they all said when they where down there that they felt a looming darkness, the felt lonley and scared, and also had horrifying dreams. my grandma who is catholic lived upstairs with my grandfather. there was virtually nothing wrong with the upstairs, it was as though upstairs was heaven, and downstairs was hell.

i remember seeing him for a while then he eventually disapeared and i didn't see him for about 2 months. then i started seeing him in my dreams, i would go around the house when i awoke and hear him call my name sometimes. i finally told my grandma of him, and she bought me a cross. so i hung it up in my room, and that night someone came to me in my dream. saying that he will only help me this once, and that he will help me fight. i then fought gamigin for the first time, i smashed his skull open with a steel pole, and then in my dream all went black and i saw a huge white crack tear its way across the sky. i then woke up.

after that it was about 13 years of not seeing him. i forgot about him and his tricks until one day i went to my friends house in trail. the house according to several of the old owners was haunted by the ghosts of several people, including an old miner who died in a mine cave in or something. anyways that night it was about 3 in the morning, and we where all in the living room. my friends little sister and her friend said they saw someone in the kitchen so i went to go see who it was.

as i walked into the kitchen i turned the corner to see an incredibaly tall being made of shadow with big circular red eyes and was made of jagged lines and was bone thin. he signaled me to follow as he then headed to the basement. i took two steps forward then all of a sudden in a flood of memories i saw Gamigin, i saw the old shadow people of that house, and i remembered everything. i went back into the living and slept for the night on the coutch watching t.v. with the light on.

when i got back home to my town, and my house which we now lived near a river in a house of our own i entered my room and saw a little girl sitting on my bed, she turned around and i saw she was severely burnt all down her face and arms, she disappeared. i saw her again sitting on my bed that night, when i sat up to look at her i saw the moonlight flash through my window, all went black. when i opened my eyes, the moonlight was covering me, and i was on the floor, i sat up with my room spinning, i was completely disorriantated, i then past out and awoke the next morning on the floor.

at school the following week, i was looking in one of the moniters on the school computer and i saw a deerskull briefly flash up on the screen then disappear. the computer screen was off...

then in P.E. i was sitting on a railing, i felt exosted i almost passed out, then i saw a deerskull enter my vision briefly and i almost fell off of the railing. then when i went home i looked out my window and saw a shadow person again. for about 2 years i kept seeing gamigin again and kept seeing shadow people.

then he disappeared for a few months, and came back again, saying i past some test bullshit, kept talking about the future, and talking about energy and realities and fear and such. then after about another 2 years he disappeared and i haven't seen him sense.

about 5 months ago, i something else, it had short legs, was about 8 ft tall, was hunched over, really thin, had extrememly long arms, and would prop itself up on its elbows, it had black eyes and a black mouth that was always open. i have seen this thing twice.

also once when i was a kid according to my dad i would have fallen into the river had it not been for a transperent lady in a dress flying in circles around me, preventing me from falling in the river.

i saw two ghosts in my old house. one would constantly steel things and hide them in rediculous areas, and the other was a little girl that would run through the living room.

i also used to play with a little kid in my old log cabin i used to live in with my parents when i was 5 my parents never saw this kid, and the kid also told me he died in that house, at the time i never really knew what death was, and saw nothing wrong with the situation.

i saw a bright blue orb that looked like it had the sillouette of a being with wings inside of it, fly past the window, the same night i saw that tall shadow person with the red eyes.

i saw my mother walk up the stairs in my grandmas house sometime after she died, even though she was dead, and died in vancouver.

on night i was camping on a beach with some friends, and i saw two giant canines, one was a massive black wolf with red eyes, and the other was a massive black bulldog kind of thing with red eyes, both i have seen numurous times sense, and seem to have been protecting me, from potential danger... including gamigin... oddly enough he doesn't seem to appear around dogs...

at my friends house a heard kid crying, and a piano playing shortly after my friends sister was playing with a homemade ouiji board, then shortly after that all the windows and doors started shaking.

another time i saw gamigin, i through a small necklace at him, the necklace had a wooden cross with a steel jesus on it. he turned the cross to ash, and melted the jesus, laughing and said that it had no power, for a relic of the dead is useless or something like that.

there, a few of my occurances with spirits and whatever, as i said the only bit of evidence i have is my word. believe what you will.

Why yes they do exist, but surely not like in the movies.
Convince you?
Well that's hard isn't it? If you haven't experienced it yourself... there are only stories to be told nothing else?
And I have many of those.
Too many to share for sure smile
But I'll share anyways, not for the sake of the 'prize' mind you, it's just nice to be able to talk about it once in a while.
I've always had a strange sense for things.
When I was little I always spoke what was on other people's mind, so much that people seemed to notice. I still have that at random times. Right now I can mostly pick up other people's emotions. Call me an empath or whatever.
I don't 'see' spirits (only in my dreams) but I 'feel' them very clearly. It's scary sometimes, but that's only because I feel the spirit's fear. Mostly they seek people out because they're scared to go on to the afterlife (this is what I am guessing after many years of pondering things).
Spirits have caused me a lot of sleepless nights when I still went to school.

What I'm about to tell you mostly happens to me at night, in between 2 till about 4 am. It never happens when other people sleep in the same room as me. It's been quite a long time because now I'm engaged and live together with my future husband. I'm going to tell 2 stories only, or as much as I can remember from them, that are personal experiences. And after that maybe I'll tell you about the experience of my uncle (bless his soul), or of some friends that have had strange things happen to them. Let me remind you that I don't watch horror movies, so my dreams cannot be provoced by such.

One would be about a young girl.
I was asleep- at the same time my mother was at a different location, talking to a friend that had suffered a loss (this is important). I must tell you that at that time I had a close bond with my mother. I dreamt about a young slender woman with long dark hair. Her skin was a rather strange color, very pale blue-ish. Her eyes were red all over and blood poured down her face in the form of tears that didn't run kind of like internal bleeding (cliché you might say, but it's true). She told me she wasn't here to hurt me, even though it seemed like hate was all she knew. She was in my house, locked up in the bedroom I was sleeping in. She asked me if I could help her, because 'they' were after her. I found myself unlocking and opening the door, and in front of it stood men in suits. Their faces were hazy and dark, couldn't possibly see anything. She was angry, she wanted to kill them. I woke up- distressed somehow, because I felt a presence around me (and the hate).
Just when my dream ended, my mother came home and I told her about it. She asked me what the girl looked like and when I told her she kind of freaked out. Because that evening (as I was sleeping adn dreaming this) her friend had told her about a young woman that was very close to him and that had died. And she was slender and had long dark hair. Appearantly she had killed herself because something/someone had pressured her greatly in life. Whilst this could have been just a coincidence, I don't believe it was (since I have had many such 'coincidences' happen to me in the past).

The second would be something that seriously freaked me out, even after all the years of interrupted sleep.
I always felt like there was a presence near the kitchen of my mum's new house. This presence is only felt when it's dark (it's one of those things that make me run up the stairs real quick when I stay over at her place). I never figured it could feel so... sinister. I've had some experience with spirits (but again I must express that it's nothing like in the movies lol I don't wake up with scratches all over me or whatever), the hate (that was sometimes there) was never towards me either, just towards the fact that they died or well the situation they died in.
So one day I was staying over at my mum's and uhhm well my bedroom is somewhere above the kitchen. I closed the door to the kitchen and ran up the stairs real quick. Went to sleep...
I dreamt I was sleepingon the couch in the living room (near the stairs). The couch was standing differently, with the bakc towards the kitchen. I woke up in my dream on said couch and I could just feel this overwhelming dark 'SOMETHING' coming from the kitchen. So I peeked over the couch's edge and ohmylord was I scared shitless IN MY DREAM lol. The door was still closed but the entity behind it was so dark and sinister- quite overwhelming mind you, I get shivers just thinking about it now. It was like the 'spirit' was trying to break through the door. Like it knew I was there, and break through it did. And a really dark, thick mist in the form of a huge claw was headed towards me. The next thing I know I'm in my bed, with my mouth and eyes wide open. Unable to scream (I so badly wanted to scream, just for my mum to come and help me), unable to close my eyes and unable to move, it was as if I was paralized and as if something was trying to pull me down through my bed and the floor (so I would end up near the kitchen). After about 15 seconds I think (which felt like eternity) I was FINALLY able to scream and with that the sinister feeling all but left completely when my mother stumbled into the room. I cried then ^^; because even though I was already 19 years old, that scared me, really really scared me. I've had friends tell me about seeing spirits and not being able to move, close their eyes or even scream. You lay there with your eyes and mouth wide open and you can't do jack s**t about it. I'm glad this only happened to me once and I really hope it stays that way.

Oh yes I just remembered there was that one time when I was about 5 years old.
My mum sees spirits. My uncle went on a journey and went through some pretty freaky stuff there (and he's not one to believe in the 'supernatural' but after that he wouldn't deny it)Something about a woman that was drowned at the place he stayed. And that her presence followed him back home. His wife (whom didn't know anything beside her own language) could suddenly speak all kinds of other languages she never even heard of, and could 'see' people's pasts (at that time my mother warned her that it wouldn't last and that she had to be prepared to suddenly loose said 'abilities'. My mom was right and my aunt ended up with a serious depression). Anyways when my uncle played a record, it suddenly played backwards. Doors opening and closing on own accord- that kind of stuff.
So he went to see my mom, to talk about it and as soon as he spoke of the murdered woman, she felt as if she couldn't breathe, as if she was drowning. That night she was alone in her bedroom (my room was right next to hers and the door was open). She saw the spirit and the woman SCREAMED (for help most likely, for someone to put her spirit to rest). I woke up to the scream and yelled for my mum, asking her why she was screaming (I was still in my bed). Many years later she told me the real story, that it wasn't her that was screaming but the murdered woman...

yeah scary s**t xD

Ghost DiZasta
we are basically sacks of organisms. a bag of skin with blood, nerves and bones. but what makes this human shell of a body work? a soul or a spirit. what sees behind these eyes? a spirit. so when this flesh dies it will return to which it came... the earth. leaving the soul... now the soul must have a place to return also right? back to the all. the all is not god but is everything. kinda like starwars and the force. our soul returns back to the all. now this soul i believe is made of some sort of energy and or light. thats why when we walk into a house with a TV on we can feel it even if we dont see or hear the TV. we can feel that it is on. so now to the question "are ghost real?" absolutely. especially if the life of a lost soul (ghosts) was distressed or unsettled. what i am saying is that a ghost is an unpleased soul who has some sort of unfinished business on earth and is stuck on our realm. or a soul who has yet to let go of being in a human form.

Exactly, I believe this to be true. Spirits that linger do so because they have something that ties them to this world (most likely something that's unresolved, like a serious fight between family, murder or other things).

Have you EVER heard of a "nice" or "helpful" ghost? (Casper doesn't count lol) they're all poltergeists!

actually yes I have, I have experienced a very nice spirit before.
That would be my uncle (or at least I have every reason to believe so) smile he died young in a pretty freaky accident and we were never able to say goodbye. Around that time we were all very upset and I was scared of loosing another person close to me (because a lot of people had been dying around me, my neighbour- 2 girls at school I knew quite well, a baby of a friend etc etc). One night I dreamt of my dad dying on me and as I woke up I could feel a very warm comforting hand on my back, this touch lasted for at least 20 seconds.

someday the waves

(Part 2. next post)

This is the reason why I always sleep with my back towards my husband or a wall. I NEVER sleep with my back unprotected, because it's a really strange an vulnerable feeling I get whenever in such situations.

i do not believe human ghosts are real. call me religious and hate me all you want for saying this, but i believe people, immediately after they die go to either heaven or hell. the "ghosts" that people find now, i believe are simply demons pretending to be human to appear harmless. Have you EVER heard of a "nice" or "helpful" ghost? (Casper doesn't count lol) they're all poltergeists!

Actually, I have heard of friendly ghosts and I've felt them myself. I've had an experience on New Year's Eve when my friends Chelsea, Amanda, Heather, Taylor and I were in Chelsea's room since her house was where the party was being held, and everything dropped around 15 degrees. We felt a prescence there; all of us, not just one, and sensations that left tingles went across my body, leaving goosebumps. I heard a voice that only Heather and I could hear, and it was clear, saying that she wasn't going to hurt us. Heather and I started to shake violently, holding our arms tight against each other. My back, which has hurt since I was 11 and this was when I was 15, started to throb tremendously and I started to cry because of the pain. It stayed until around 5 AM and we held an actual conversation with it, of who it was. As it turns out, according to what we heard, she was around six years old with bright red hair and wore a polka dotted dress when her father accidently hit her with his truck and she died; she lived in the same house and in the same bedroom as Chelsea did.
My grandmother, my grandfather and my two uncles who were around 5 and 6 also had a ghost experience (my grandparents had 5 children, my two uncles, my father and my aunt, but my Uncle Eric died shortly after birth) when they moved into a new house. Every day, at 7 PM, they heard footsteps from their kitchen, out the living room and to the front door, where the door sounded like it closed but never moved. My grandma had a dream of the ghost the first night; it was a guy who had died by getting gunned down outside. The only thing that he had said to her was 'I mean you and your family no harm'. The footsteps continued until my father was born and they moved out of the house after my grandfather got transfered to Alaska. (My grandfather was in the Coast Guard).
Either a, my family and my friends, including me, are all insane, or b, ghosts exist.
I believe the latter.
