Rusty said nothing, he allowed his expression to tell his opponent how he felt. Though his eyes were filled with fierce fortitude, his smile was a kind one. He blocked the attacks from her slender sword and unleashed a flurry of slashes from his broadsword.

Alnette was enjoying herself. When he was serious, Rusty was an excellent fighter and she had to struggle to keep up. She did her best to dodge his slashes, while striking with quick slashes between his attacks.

Alnette’s swift movements managed to get past Rusty’s shield. He had taken more damage than he would have like, thus proving that an armor’s defense isn’t absolute. Not faltering, the King tried to mount a counter attack.

Alnette did her best to keep dodging, attacking when she could. She knew that while the advantage was hers for now, it could easily be turned around.

Alnette was quick, quicker than he had remembered. Each of her attacks was swift and precise. Rusty lost balance for a moment, but he quickly found his equilibrium and charged his opponent.

Rusty's charge had taken her by surprise. By the time she had realized what he was doing, it was too late. She did her best to brace herself for the blow, but she was still knocked off of her feet.

When Alnette was knocked off her feet, Rusty pressed forward. Taking advantage, he attempted to repeatedly slam his shield to her torso.

Alnette made an attempt to get back on her feet, but Rusty's attack made it impossible. She was a bit surprised by how much getting bashed by the shield hurt, but she didn't dwell much on it.

The King continued to slam his shield into Alnette’s torso. He could easily have switched to his broadsword, but he wanted to defeat her, not permanently damage her. His shield gave her the message that he was in it to win it, but not at the cost of her life.

Alnette rolled to the side to dodge his shield bash and as soon as she had the chance, jumped to her feet. She then lunged at him, slashing again.

The left side of Rusty’s body was unguarded. The swift Alnette’s attacks hit its target, but the damage was minimal as Rusty rose his shield back up to defend himself.

Alnette moved to continue attacking, but Rusty managed to block her attacks with his shield and effectively counter. Alnette may have been faster than him, but he was stronger.

Rusty made some distance between the two of them. He then threw his shield at her. It might have been the wind, but the lion emblem seemed to roar as the shield soared in the wind. At incredible speed, the shield bombarded Alnette.

Alnette was completely taken by surprise and made no attempt to dodge the shield. The force of the blow hit harder than she had anticipated, but she was still standing after.

The shield soared right back to Rusty’s free hand. He then tried to push his advantage. When he tried to slash her, his attack was easily evaded. Rusty was left wide open for a counterattack.
