"Well, you'll find out when the application letters come in," he pointed out as he uncapped his bottle of water, the lid cracking when he broke the seal. "But I don't believe it to be an unfounded assumption." Judging by the way she spoke and the way she carried herself, Johnny didn't find it hard to believe that Lily was an intelligent girl. If her marks were as high as she said they were – or as high as he expected them to be – then she shouldn't have problems getting into the university of her choice.
Her study choice was, however, more than a little unorthodox. Johnny couldn't help but raise his eyebrows in surprise. Music and veterinary sciences? While he would have hardly considered the first one a degree – snobs are us – the second was definitely something worth pursuing. "I imagine that will be quite the workload and in very different subject areas." Idly, he couldn't help but wonder what would make her try and do such different degrees. Perhaps music was a passion of hers. It was always possible. "I assume you have an equal interest in both paths?"
When the talk turned to his own program he nodded. "Criminology. I believe the program at Sovereign Heights is meant to prepare students for law school, which is not where I intend to go with it but it suits my purposes."

Lily smiled brightly and gave a small nod, "Yes, December. It is just weeks away. I am to excited and nervous to think about it, but alas it is one of my main thought."
She decided she may as well close her book and leave her studies for later in the afternoon, so she did. Her conversation with Johnny held her full attentikn and she knew she would not be able to study.
"I truly loved to sing," she responded at his question, "but I enjoy science and animals as well." She paused for a moment before continuing, "I have been singing my entire life and I can play piano as well. I also volunteer at the animal shelter, have been helping since sixth grade." Her eyes were shining brightly when she spoke on the subjects. It was obvious she could have said much more, but had refrained.
Lily gave a smile and looked to Johnny's book, when he said his major was criminology. "Does your major maybe stem from your love for mystery? Where do you intend to go with the major, if not law?"
