Of course I understand Aludra, no worries. Good evening, ChibiChew, Meiko. That's quite alright Jessica, we all have our strengths and weaknesses, there's always room for improvement! Oh, hello Liviana. Hm, you all seem to know a lot, lets start with something simple, and then progress towards more difficult things, shall we?
Now, who can tell me the difference between a Spell, a Charm, a Hex, a Jinx and a Curse? and what can be done to reverse them?

Raises hand... A spell is an incantation that uses the magical force to manipulate the world around them, such as conjuring or stunning. They can be used for either positive or negative purposes. A spell is the general term, and charms, hexes, jinxes and curses are categories of the spell. A charm is an enchantment that causes an object to behave in a way different from how it normally behaves. Charms can levitate, cause things to change color, and many more. A hex is a spell used to create negative effects; however, they can also be used in self defense. An example is the Bat-Bogey Hex. A jinx has negative effects, but it is usually less serious than a hex-most jinxes are designed for the amusement of the caster and observers-causing minor discomfort to the victim. A counter-jinx is used to remove the jinx. Finally, a curse is the spell with the most negative effects, and can cause harm, control and even death. The most famous of these are the unforgivable curses, which if used will land the caster in Azkaban.

Thank you for joining us, Nub. Brilliant Cloud! Couldn't have said it better myself, 5 points to Slytherin. Now that we have that cleared up, who can explain why specific hand gestures with the wand are so important when casting spells? ((oh, and 0-Azula-0 I simply adore your avvie))

Heart raises her hand. "Well, the specific hand gesture when casting a spell focuses the power of the spell, and guides it to the desired target."

Grins at Aludra's comment and blushes slightly... Thank you, Professor. And I'm pretty sure that Heart got that question down pretty well. Fiddles with her wand...

Heart blushes, nodding in appreciation in Cloud's direction. She takes out some parchment and a quill to take notes.

Aludra Yvette... Aludra had her forehead pressed down against her table. She wasnt asleep just listening intentively at all the questions and answers. She didnt bother to copy down notes either, they just weighed down her backpack and caused early arthritis in her opinion. ...6th Year Slytherin

With concern on my face I walk over to Aludra, give her a light tap on the shoulder and whisper, "Aludra is everything okay?"
