What do you think? I worked on this a long time. It's pretty much an on and off project, but that's okay. A lot of the parts are smudged or burred to symbolize how everyone just does so much for beauty. I'm not the best at drawing arms and hands, so that's why it's like that. Anyway, I hope I'll improve! mrgreen She's kind of skinny... >_<

Ty ^ ////^ I don't know where this should go, but I do know that I worked on it! biggrin I know that a lot of the objects are very flat, but you know I'm not awesome at using a mouse. XD Plus, it does have all 15 I shot members... Not really for critiquing, but to look at it and smile. You have to say that the fire is pretty awesome. I'm great at drawing fire.. This was made for an art contest. I joined because I felt more people should join. Click on the banner in my siggy to see the charity thingy.

The veil and the knife look really sweet.
I'd suggest working on a head-to-body proportion work. The head here is much bigger than what a life size person would look like (you can see that by looking in the mirror) so I'd work on proportions a bit. To do that just look up some drawing tutorials and practice on a piece of paper.
The design, over all, is pretty for the dress. I'd suggest starting to use a soft brush for all of it, but you can increase or decrease the softness on GIMP I'm pretty sure. It's been awhile since I've done it XD
As for the background it's not bad, but I'd tone down that pink so it won't take away from the person as much.

I finished my portrait of myself. I know there's a lot I could have fixed, like the length and width of the nose, the width of the lips and their position, more hair, correcting the necklace, and adding in the shading. I just decided to leave it as it is, though, because I just wanted to see how well I could get back into drawing what I see.
And as a note, I didn't add the heavy makeup from the original picture because I had done that makeup for a cosplay I'm doing in the future, and I didn't feel like overshading my drawing. xD
SO...without further ado...
Original Image
Drawing
And yeah it's light, but I finished it at 7 this morning since I stayed up all night working on it on and off, and my brother wasn't awake. xD It seems 'snow' on my camera setting at least picked up the drawing.
I may or may not do stuff with it on the computer. I'm kinda lazy.

*drifts around in ghost form* I am one of the forgotten people from the first threads... here's my art. I just got a tablet, but I didn't finish the stuff I drew with it yet. That's my art in my signature to.
