"You ask why do I not talk much?"_______←« _____ ←« ____ ←« ___ ←« __ ←« _____"...Because there is nothing to say."Rath ------------ Rath departed from the meeting room alongside Isadora, with lingering aggravation directed at Nino. Concerned or not, she should have known better than to speak like that. She had her duty... he had his.
He did not accompany Isadora to the stables and instead took a detour to his room. He opened the door to find Susan, who appeared to have just awoken. Rath left while she was still asleep after a soldier informed him about the meeting and inquired if he would attend. He shut the door calmly behind him and began to retrieve his belongings, such as his Talwar and other essentials. "Susan..." he greeted, as he moved about. "I am leaving for Adliana as soon as I am ready." He paused his packing and faced her. "...I would like it very much if you were to accompany me. But we haven't much time..."

Rahkain had left the girl and her father alone well before the night was over. He had things to do and he felt unneeded there with all of the other guards in the castle.
In the morning, he opened up his little shop in the marketplace again. The people of the city were bustling... The market was busy today with people buying weapons and various other things they would need for the coming war. He knew it wasn't going to be safe to stay there long, after all it was going to be a war. He knew he'd make good money today.
He sat in his chair behind his stall. "This is a boring life, I lead isn't it..." He muttered to nobody in particular. I can't believe I move somewhere and my old home wages war on my new home. This is ridiculous. Should I move on?
He leaned to accept some money from a customer who was buying a knife made from the bones of something he had slain... He didn't even know what it was. All he knew was it made nice weapons. "Yeah." He said distractedly as the customer thanked him.
I make the stupidest choices. I hate this business. The killing's much more fun than the selling... I really need to take up some kind of hobby I can do while sitting here. Maybe I'll make something... He reached into his bag to find something to put together or whittle away at. He found a pack of cards. Hardly whittle-able. But they reminded him of Leon... I wonder what he's doing. If he finds out I'm from Mordache, he's going to hate me anyhow, so what do I care?

O Father Sky, Mother Earth... I pray that you give me strength. ↣ ↣ ↣ Sue ↣ ↣ ↣ The morning of this day felt so far away from the terrible things Learania had faced just the night before. All of it seemed as if it happened months, even years ago! But, when Sue awoke, rubbing the last bits of sleep from her eyes, she saw it was very evident that things had just happened yesterday. Although he looked much more like himself, her father's condition was surely not a hundred percent.
But he spoke of going to Adliana. If that was his decision, no one would shake him from it, and Sue knew that. So, instead of protesting, instead of trying to hold him back, the young woman nodded. "I'll be more than happy to ride beside you, father. If it's anyone Cheiftain Songhua will lend his ear to... it is the both of us." She said the words with a smile. Just the thought of seeing the warm, kind-hearted nomad, even in these troubled times brought Sue nothing but happiness.
No hesitation was needed much after that. Just as soon as possible, Sue was having her things packed, including Miugre, which she had to leave behind when she was unceremoniously removed from the castle. It was a shame to leave so fast though, as Sue would end up not having much of a chance to give her regards to her fellow guild members. Still, a duty was a duty, before all else. When all was said and done and ready to go, she only spoke a few words. "Let's go." she said, with a small smile remaining.<=|Nomad Trooper|==0 The path ahead shall not be easy, but I must proceed!

After the chaos of the other night, Tiki was definitely not staying in the forest anymore. It was way more unpredictable in there then she expected (then again, she hadn't expected anything in particular). She had not thought ahead at all. It was hard to when you were being moved form place to place, by groups of people and all of these rapidly changing rules.
It was a good thing that they had changed. Tiki had resolved to go back to Eyris, even if she wasn't welcome. It was better then being alone in the battle-scarred woods, where she could get jumped by a red catbeast or some thunder mages. She came back with the intention of eluding sight and keeping a low profile.
She didn't know how to do that. Luckily, the people around her didn't seem to care anymore. The rules had changed again, hopefully. So stay she did. Maybe she would be able to meet those people from the other night. And maybe she would finally get some answers.
There was a man nearby, with bright red hair. It wouldn't hurt to ask him what was going on.
Didn't she see him the other night?
"Excuse me?" She asked tentatively. "Do you know where I can find a place to stay?"

"You ask why do I not talk much?"_______←« _____ ←« ____ ←« ___ ←« __ ←« _____"...Because there is nothing to say."Rath ------------ Rath was glad his daughter agreed to go with him. He didn't ask her to come because he wanted company or because he believed he could not travel alone. He asked her to come because it would be best for her. The girl's father released a subtle grin. "Right."
Once they were both fully prepared, they headed down to the stables. It seemed that Isadora had left already. Her journey would be even longer. The two nomads prepared their horses and latched their belongings. They knew how to pack lightly and live off of the land. Very little food was being taken, and only two canteen's worth of water- one for each of them. They could refill when needed as they rode. Rath mounted his horse and trotted over to Sue. "This is known to be a four day ride. I plan to make it there in three. Keep up with me- I will not slow down for you. But we are headed for the Elder's encampment, which you have been to, so if we are separated, you know where to go."
His mouth clicked and Rath led his horse back around. He looked up at the castle and wondered if Nino was watching him. He waited for her to return for so long... and she never did, until Fefga brought her back. When Rath finally saw her again, all he could feel was disdain. "We ride, Susan. ...Do not fall behind. Yah!" As the reins were flicked the two nomads took off through the city. They headed for the northern gate, and eventually left Eyris, on their way to the plains.

Never forget the reason ya fight. Never forget the reason ya stay. ☆——+——☆——+——☆ -x-[ Leon ]-x- >-{ Watch Lieutenant }-< This was a day that Leon never thought would happen again! He'd been able to reclaim his Watch-issue equipment (which contained his favorite poleaxe, the and a steel lance and sword, along with a javelin). The weight of his sturdier armor was a welcome one, after the days he'd spent looking like a mercenary. "One last piece of equipment to make the uniform one proud to wear!" He thought gleefully, placing his Lieutenant's insignia on his armor with a great big smile on his face.
He had to admit, that when he and Anri were full outfitted like this, it felt right. What he was doing before... being on the run and worrying about money? That wasn't Leon's style. In a Watch's uniform, with a Watch's weapon, that's where he belonged. Leon didn't care if he was just doing his normal rounds. The fresh air of the bakeries that lined his route... the chatter of people, and at least the momentary peace... were all music to his ears.
And just as Anri rounded one of the corners, Leon spotted someone familiar. Was that who he thought it was? "Oy, Rahkain, are we meetin' again? Seems we keep runnin' into each other!" The Great Knight exclaimed gleefully. The sight of a friend made the day that he was reinstated all the more sweeter. Sure, he'd have to wait for the card games and the booze until the evening when his shift was over, but that at least gave him something to look forward to, with all his other companions in the Watch being swamped with work that came with Eyris's restoration and war preparations.☆——+——☆——+——☆ Riches, titles, fame, and glory... Roy had not gone far before someone called out to him in a tentative voice.
"Excuse me?"
"Hm?" the young lord turned to look at who called him.
It was a girl with long green hair, an interesting circlet and a purple flowing dress that reminded him of a dancer outfit, but didn't have the same feel to it. He ran through his memory, trying to recall if he met someone like her before, but nay. Nothing was coming up. He hadn't met this person before. Now that she had his attention, she spoke again, with a slightly stronger voice.
"Do you know where I can find a place to stay?"
"A place to stay... like an inn? There's a few in town." he said. He paused for a few moments, pondered a brief second, then spoke again. "Do you want me to show you to a few places so you can choose which one suits your needs best? It can be pretty confusing walking around town if you don't know where to go." he offered.
Well, it wasn't like he was in a rush. The young lord had time to waste, and this girl seemed to be new around here. Why not be a good samaritan and help her out?

That would take his mind off... well not much. He had been very bored. "Hey, Leon! Looking for skins? Trinkets? Uuuuh whatever this is?" He grinned in a joking manner while holding up some odd souvenir he'd picked up in a swamp. Maybe some noble dropped it... "Whoa.." He said as he observed the way Leon was dressed. "So you got your job back. Guess you'll be headed off to war soon, eh?"
Yep. He's gonna go to war, forget all about his gambling and drinking buddy, never ask where I'm from. Happy? Maybe... Maybe not.+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+- But what I do have I will kill for...

You know I can't slow down...
I can't hold back...

"Mmmm~..."
Finally getting some grub at the tavern really did hit the spot! His plan was to actually sleep after finally eating, but after finally getting the food, he didn't feel like sleeping anyway. Knowing me, I'll just fall asleep randomly anyway.
After stepping out to the back side of the tavern, he was met with a neat little garden with one single large tree at the middle of it. It provided with a soothing shadow in the direction of the tavern. After stretching, Lance went forward and touched the bark of the tree. "Heh. Guess some things still stay the same, even with a mental case in charge."
Still, the words of an impending invasion did make Lance uneasy. Not so much for love for the place. He had little care for this country, other than it being his current home. No one knew him, even fewer were his friends, yet for some reason, he felt like he was part of it. But most of all, if it was wiped out, he'd have even LESS potential comrades for his own mission.
Although the shade was inviting, Lance felt he had little time to rest. "I'm gonna rust if I don't keep myself sharp..."
Placing his fist against the trunk of the tree, he inhaled deeply before taking aim. "...Impact!" he yelled, while punching forward. Other than a weak little disruption in the air, nothing happened. "...heh. Guess it's still impossible through the fist, huh..."
Truth to be told, always having to open his palm to use an Impact was a bother. That meant he couldn't hold something at the same time as he'd use an Impact, so he couldn't use them simultaneously while charging a coin, or parrying with a dagger. It wasn't that much of a problem, but adding a wider variety on how to use his attacks could only be helpful, and versatility was his forte, after all.
"Guess I'm still too weak then." He chuckled to himself, before opening his palm up, and taking aim. "...Impact!"
He wasn't expecting a much bigger difference, after all, last time he remembered his Impacts could knock the air out of sudden, so going full power could possibly leave a mark, but not much else...
Yet, the sudden burst he released surprised even him. After a significant explosion, a large hole was left in the trunk, as a huge chunk got taken out, sending splinters and wood flying in every direction. His eyes widened, Lance's mouth curved into a childish glee. "Whoa ho hoooaaa! That was...wow! I had no idea I had that much power in me! Seems like all that training actually helped! Ahahaha!"
Pumping his fists, he started giggling like a kid. Until a deafening crack interrupted his joy. Looking back to the tree, he could see the top swaying, as the dent in the tree made it lose all its support. For a moment he stood still, as nothing else seemed to happen. But then, another gust of wind made another similar crack, before the tree gave up and started falling. "...oh SNAP!"
Lance didn't survive an evil old man just to get crushed by a vengeful tree! As he dove to the side, the tree's crown missed him by a whisker, before it crashed into the side of the tavern, making the branches break upon impact. No one in the vicinity could've missed the sound as it came down, and though the tree took the brunt of the damage, no one inside the tavern could've missed it. Still, Lance couldn't help feeling happy. "...Sorry Mr. Tree! But it just seems like I got stronger! Ahaha!"

Ziaram had stayed back for sometime. It was time for him to come back. There was still a job to do, and there could be a way to help out here. He was a long ranged swordsman with his magic sword...and all he would need is a new one sooner or later. His Light Brand was getting close to dying.
Anyways...while the others were chatting, Ziaram slinked back in to be there just in to see Roy chatting with a familiar face. Seemed Tiki was doing well in Learania. He walked over to her, and put his hand on her shoulder. "Hey, how are you doing?"
Looking at Roy, he nodded to acknowledge the young lord. It would be rude to take the conversation from the guy. There was still the fact that Ziaram was one of the first people to help Tiki out. That one village that was back in his head somewhere.

xxxxx"If you're worried about surviving, xxxxxxxyou can worry about it after you're dead!" "The wyvern riders of Bern sit atop the heap of all other forces on the continent!" xxxxx "You will see our power soon!"
Vaida listened as the meeting went on. She held back saying anything, knowing that it wasn't her place to. Back when it was just the nomad or the little girl leading the country, she would say whatever the hell she wanted, but now she couldn't get away with that. She had to be respectful and obey and blah blah blaaaah, with the right thing.
When it sounded like the meeting was coming to a close, Vaida interjected. "I'll get the soldiers to work and spread the word for evacuation. Once enough citizens are ready, we'll send them either to the caves or Adlian colonies in groups." The Commander got up from her seat, bowed her head to the king and calmly, plus uncharacteristically, left the room.
Once she got the Guard barracks, that calmness vanished. "Alright, you slackers, get on your feet!" she began to shout. "I want Captains Needles and Arashe on the walls with soldiers to lead a survey of the structural condition! Captain Valter can get off his sorry defeated butt and start training with the new recruits!" Vaida figured that would probably lighten his mood. Anybody would be upset about losing ownership of the uber spear. "I want a squad up to the caves! I want a squad riding around Eyris, telling those who can't fight to prepare to leave! I want several squads at the ready to escort civilians! If you're injured, stay in bed and get out of the way of others! If you need new weaponry, items, or armor, then I suggest you deal with that and then get your a** back to work! I want to see you all moving and doing something productive, people!" Vaida walked out into the light and looked into the streets of the city. "A week and a half will pass by in the blink of an eye. For your sakes, and mine... we had better be ready!"

With the absurdly racist laws that had been put into place recently being revoked, FD and Nils were no longer banished from the city. They had been helping Amelia (and Rhys… because the character didn’t just disappear just because the player did) deal with the aftermath of the chaos of having so many people inhabit the place at once after such a long time, and essentially miss the drama of Nino’s arrival and karma of Rogvald’s death. But word travels fast. And so the couple had returned to Eyris to live in the comfort of their own home. And help out with the whole, you know, about to be attacked by two countries at once siege-thing. After all, they had people important to protect, each other being at the top of the list. As they traveled towards their nephew, also high on their list of people they’d be fighting to protect, to make sure he was alright – neither had seen him since the night of the ambush – they were relieved to see that he was okay. They also noted the dragon conversing him, recognizing her as one of their kind, albeit different in her own way which neither could quite place their finger on.
“You’re welcome to stay with us, if you like,” FD called out towards the dragon near their nephew while they continued approaching. If anyone could empathize with Tiki, it would be the two dragon lovers. For who else would know what it was like to be unwanted because of whom and what you are, to have to abandon where you live for the sake of your survival, to have arrived in yet another world without intending to? Besides, FD had wished to speak with and get to know her since the ambush-battle mere nights before, recognizing the draconic essence of Tiki as the same person that was the dragon from that night, just as she presumably would be able to recognize FD from that night, despite neither being in their dragon forms. “It’s not a very large home, and it’s on the very outskirts of the city, but…you’ll always be invited there.” Indeed, dragons need to stick together, he thought. “I’m FD, by the way.”
“And I’m Nils,” the bard added, offering his hand out to Tiki. “Pleased to meet you. And how are you, nephew? FD tells me you both saw Ninian that night…” Nils turned his head at Roy. He knew his sister could take care of herself, but that didn’t stop him from worrying for her ever since she had disappeared months ago.

"An Inn... Well, I don't have any money. I need a place to stay for a while. I don't really have anywhere to go, and I don't want to sleep in the woods again."
Someone would have definitely called her out on her bluntness. But she didn't have anything else to say, really. There was no one giving her direction, no friendly hands to hold. All she could really do was wander until she found someplace stable.
"I know lots of changes have been going on around here... So I'm not even sure if a place like that exists anymore. If ever."
Someone lay a hand on her shoulder. After a moment of surprise, she smiled at the sight before her. "Ziaram!" She exclaimed happily. "I was worried about you... Things have been so chaotic lately. I didn't really know what to think!"
All of a sudden, she was feeling very, very happy. Where had all this company come from? It was wonderful to see a familiar face again. And even more people were coming their way!
But this was unusual. One of these men seemed familiar. It was that fire dragon from the other night? He looked much better now. He was the one who she really wanted to ask questions to. How lucky that he would be the one who found her! There was another dragon with him too. Tiki gently shook his hand in response.
"You would allow me to stay with you? I really want to talk with you about what's going on... Thank you so much, FD." Why would he just call himself FD? It sounded odd when she said it out loud. Nonetheless, Tiki could not believe her good fortune. She was full of childlike glee, and was even fidgeting a little bit. She was doing an awful job at containing her excitement.
"And wait, you're his nephew?" Tiki returned her attention to Roy. "Does that mean you're a Dragon too?" He certainly didn't seem like one.

She... didn't have any money? Huh... for some reason, he was reminded of Fa, but he couldn't think of as to why the Divine Dragon's image appeared in his head so suddenly. Before he could say anything else, the girl mentioned changes, to which he shook his head. "Don't worry. Most of the negative laws have already been removed." he said. Before he could say anything more, Ziaram showed up. Roy returned the greeting the fellow swordsman had given him. It seemed like Ziaram knew the girl. The redhead didn't find it right to ask how the two knew each other, but he was spared that thought when two more people appeared. His Uncles. "Uncle... Uncle Hikaru." he said softly, turning to face them. From what FD was saying, it seemed like they had already met this girl. Was she... that dragoness from the other night? Possibly. It could explain why she reminded him of Fa. Nils was talking to him now, after he and his lover introduced themselves to Tiki. "I'm fine, Uncle. I'm more worried about FD though. He actually passed out in the middle of the fight. You sure you're okay, Uncle Hikaru?" he asked, his gaze shifting momentarily towards the fellow redhead. He then glanced back at the bard. "Yeah. We saw her for a brief while, and she helped out. She's gotten pretty good at fighting now. I'm impressed with how far she's gotten in such a short time."His attention was then drawn back to the girl, who seemed to be surprised that he was a dragon. He nodded. "Yes ma'm. Though I don't have quite as much dragon blood in me compared to the rest of the family, I am a dragon. I'm Roy, by the way." he said, introducing himself. He pondered for a moment, then looked back at the girl. "You were the Divine Dragon from the other night, right? I'm kinda surprised to meet another one."

Never forget the reason ya fight. Never forget the reason ya stay. ☆——+——☆——+——☆ -x-[ Leon ]-x- >-{ Watch Lieutenant }-< "Huh... lemme see tha'..." Leon reached for the rather strange collection of things that Rahkain was offering for sale, examining the souvenir from top to bottom. When he looked at it for a moment, he grinned. "Oh, this's a Talisman! I know someone who makes 'em... it's even still got its power! How much are ya askin' for it...? I can take it off yer hands." Leon offered kindly. Already, he was helping out his new friend in a business that would likely flourish when everyone was rushing to armories and shops for their war essentials. It made him think of Leena briefly, and how swamped she must have been with all those power boosting item requests.
And then, the Lieutenant felt himself stared upon. Did he really look that different wearing his Watch's uniform? Maybe he did. Leon always thought that he looked dignified in it! "Yeah, I'm an officer again. Feels great to be back, ya know! ... I ain't goin' to the front lines unless they come to me. Bein' in the Watch means defendin' the city, y'know. Of course..." Leon sighed. "Lately, the front lines always come to me... makes me wonder if I'll be gettin' rest any time soon..."
In his laments, Leon hadn't forgotten to get the gold out for the Talisman, however much it would be. Goddess knows he needed more resistance. If in the high likelihood that the front lines were taken to him, he'd need all the defenses and offenses possible on his side. At least he wouldn't be alone though. Leon was never alone. "...by the looks of it, yer not fleein', Rahkain. ... are ya gonna brave the war with me, then?" He asked, simply out of curiosity.☆——+——☆——+——☆ Riches, titles, fame, and glory...
