This has to be the most non-reported story in world news, and it's nothing new. Amazing to me what is reported and what is not, and how some things get endless coverage while others are totally ignored. It becomes more and more important to do your own research----and even the youtube videos on this subject are horrifying, in my opinion.

Note that all groups are being attacked, with one notable exception.
Remember the destruction of the gigantic stone Buddha?

Imagine these things happening where you live. Some of the most terrible videos are captioned in Arabic, so I am not posting them. This is not an attack, just a heads-up, since media is ignoring this global story for more important news, such as bird deaths, fishkills, and the never-ending global warming stuff. Good grief.

I found that quiz interesting, i'm Kapha apparently.
I haven't a clue what Chopra Dosha is but it was an interesting test.

I love quizzes like that. I do more professional personality quizzes all the time. I love seeing the results, even when I take them with a grain of salt. I have no idea what Chopra Dosha is, I'm guessing something similar to ying-yang. I found the link via No More Dirty Looks. (Edit: here's more info.)

There's another quiz too which I found helpful because I was "everything": here. I'm slightly higher in Vata, so I believe I need to increase the others to compensate the higher Vata to become balanced again.

I've read about the guy, Deepak Chopra, before, I think maybe in this book.

Edit: There's a resource page for further information. I signed up for the newsletter, so if you don't want to give out your email, I've linked it directly: here. (If that doesn't work, try this and navigate via the Library link on the left.)

Fattest Nation In The World, Nauru? What?

Quote:
The explosion of the American diet seems to be spreading across the globe but unfortunately the outlook is even more grim for third world countries. Once heart disease and other obesity-related illnesses begin to creep in, the problem is difficult to solve because healthcare in many third world nations is less than stellar. The availability of blood pressure and cholesterol medication, which has also become a part of the new American diet, is less available in these nations.

Bunch of balancing postures. I think I'm going to pursue this myself. In doing Yoga X (or just yoga in general) I have such a deep and profound peace after balance postures. I get gooey just thinking about doing these.
