"Oh, this will come right out. She won't have time to laugh at you. But if you don't hurry and put your head under that sink, it will stain. Come on." She let go of him and turned the water on, rummaging around until she found some shampoo.
"We can get most of it out now, and if there is any stains, wash it again later tonight and tomorrow morning and it should be all out." She shrugged, smiling. "You could also use whatever spell it is you use to recolor your hair, Howl. Don't you have a spell for that?"

Howl seemed doubtful for a moment; he hesitated before sitting down on a stool and leaning his head back into the sink. "She will laugh," he said. "Because Calcifer will tell her." The firedemon's betrayal was clearly not a new thing. "He'll--"
He paused. "Your shadow ruined your lesson," he sighed. "Now I'll never get to teach you how to turn into a cat. I'm a terrible teacher," he added sulkily. So much for not tantruming. Now he had found yet another reason to do so.
But as his favorite spell was mentioned, his head went up from the sink. He beamed, before promptly using it. There, his perfectly golden hair was back to normal. "Better," he told his favorite mage. "Back to the lesson."

Kali chuckled, watching as Howl transformed his hair. Really, had that been so hard?
"Back to the lesson." She agreed. There was no need to remind Howl of the shadows, or his previous tantrum. Nope. Hopefully, if she ignored it and stowed it as far back in her brain as she could manage, it wouldn't rear it's ugly head again.
"Let's head back to your room. I'll try the spell there." She smiled, turning and heading for the door. She would much prefer to be inside Howl's room while doing the spell, for two reasons. One, if she embarassed herself, the room was bigger and she had more room to screw up. And, two, it was just awkward to be practicing in a bathroom.
