THIS IS MY MASTERPIECE twisted Name of Soquili: Paul Is Dead Temper: Hidden Entry Is this an existing Legend or a new one you have invented? Existing! Title of Legend: Backmasking and Hidden Messages in Songs Legend Details: Wikipedia link here! Some famous uses of backmasking include the Paul is Dead conspiracy, and an extremely creepy satanic reference found in Stairway to Heaven. Some bands would intentionally include the message, but in most cases, the message was unintentional. Comments: So, of course Paul here is covered in the messages you can find in songs... backwards!

THIS IS MY MASTERPIECE twisted Name of Soquili: Caelin Temper: Tortured Entry Is this an existing Legend or a new one you have invented? Invented Title of Legend: Night of the Blood Moon Legend Details: Legend says that once a year, the moon will grow as red as blood itself. They call this the blood moon. They say that a creature will wander the night searching for others to kill. He is a sad creature, tied to this position against his will and his freedom may only be granted when he has acquired a thousand souls. A thousand deaths. They say his neck has black marks around it, as if Death has a constant hold on him, reminding him of his imprisonment. To make matters worse, he can only kill when the Blood Moon appears in the sky, so he must make the best of the time he is given for that one night a year. Because of this, he is not picky on who he chooses to kill as he has a quota to fill as quickly as possible. They say that he spends the other days crying over his deeds. That he has cried for so long and so hard that the tear stains are as black as death as well. He is a tortured creature, born of pain and misery itself. So be careful on the night of the Blood Moon. If you stumble upon a corpse, be sure to look at it carefully. If you spot a red string tied somewhere on it, take heed for that is his signature, forever tying their souls to his master. Comments: Just something I made up, tried to keep it simple and flowing with his appearance some. Colorist freedom with hairstyle, etc. Just general idea. Unkempt, sad creature.

THIS IS MY MASTERPIECE twisted Name of Soquili: Aster Temper: Lost Entry Is this an existing Legend or a new one you have invented? Existing Title of Legend: The Boyfriend's Death Legend Details: The Boyfriend's DeathComments: I was perusing some of the top scary urban legends and when I came across this one, I thought it perfect due to the markings around his neck, which could be seen as bruises from his struggles with the rope. Then there's the sad expression for being ripped from life during his prime, or feeling betrayed by his own girlfriend that was an unwitting tool in his death. -I know I mangled the edits, coloring isn't my forte xD That's some of the rope from which he was hanging tied around his tail and neck. Wrapped around his ankle is a necklace that he intended to give to his girlfriend that night.

THIS IS MY MASTERPIECE twisted Name of Soquili: Cameron Temper: Vengeful Entry Is this an existing Legend or a new one you have invented? I invented it ^_^ Title of Legend: The Cross-Dressing Killer Legend Details: xxxxxOnce there was a boy who was rather feminine - he had a rather soft look to him and a quiet voice. He didn't have a lot of friends - he was bullied and made fun of because of his androgyny. He would go home every day and cry, thinking of how miserable his life was. One day, he was looking in his sisters room for one of his books. (his sister would always take them without permission.) Lying on the bed was a very pretty dress. He didn't know what urged him to do this, but there was something in him that wanted to feel beautiful - so he took the dress to his room and put it on. Instantly he felt more comfortable in his own skin. He was ashamed of what he was doing, but it was the first time in a long time that he actually felt good. He decided that every day after school he would come home and dress this way. xxxxxIt went further as time went by - he bought himself a wig to make himself look even more like a female and started calling himself Cameron. Looking at himself in a mirror he decided that he looked good enough to go out in public. He made sure no one would see him leave his house and headed to the mall. He saw a group of girls there - laughing, giggling and looking like they were having a great time. He knew the girls from school, some of the less callous ones. Feeling bold since he knew they wouldn't recognize them, he decided to try to talk to them. He was amazed at how much easier it was to converse with them as a woman than it had been as a man. This is who I am he thought to himself. xxxxxMore time went by and he made fast friends with the girls - posing as a student from another town. He was happier than he had ever been. At the end of the year, senior prom was coming up. His new-found friends had been talking about it and had asked him to go in their all-girl group. Thinking he would have a wonderful time, he agreed. After all, he wouldn't have been caught dead there as a man... or would he? xxxxxThe prom started off as everything he dreamed it would be. Everyone there was so interested in him as his new counterpart - everyone was being so nice and telling him how beautiful he looked! He danced, giggled with his friends and started making new ones. At one point he excused himself to use the bathroom. While he was in there, unbeknown to him, there was a group of boys in the girls bathroom trying to take pictures of all of the unsuspecting females. When they saw him in the stall, they were outraged - there are some parts of himself he couldn't necessarily hide. The boys ripped open the stall door and dragged Cameron out, kicking and punching him. He cried out for them to stop, but the boys were too disgusted by what they saw. Eventually Cameron's cries came to an end, but the boys just went on beating him. They left him there, bleeding... they had killed him. xxxxxIf the boys had known what would happen after that day, they might not have taken it so far... legend at the school is that every year Cameron would come back, on prom night, seducing any boy who had less than admirable qualities. He would get them alone and then take out his anger on them. Some say it's just an old wives tale, but when asked why at each prom night a young man ends up violently murdered, they have no explanation. Comments: Since I only have pencil and paper, he doesn't have much color on him. His hair should be red, with a white flower. He wears a silver locket around his neck in the shape of a heart. Draped on his back is a semi-transparent black scarf that shimmers and has tassels hanging from it. Underneath, on his back leg is a garter with a gun tucked into it. His tail is braided all the way down to the end, where a flower is banded. All of these are rough drawings... the artist can feel free to play around with the concept <3

THIS IS MY MASTERPIECE twisted Name of Soquili: KV Weeds (Like a Kawani Village "weed", he is hard to remove. Also, its a play off the name of the name in and of the legend) Temper: Hungry
Entry
Is this an existing Legend or a new one you have invented? Existing!
Title of Legend: New Jersey Devil
Legend Details: Here - classified as a cryptozoological creature.
Soquili adaptation: His Personal Trainer, referring to herself as "Mother Weeds", is rather loving in a motherly way towards the "abomination" she helped create. She convinced him and she only wanted to help him, and that everyone else was against him... And that he should get rid of them without showing mercy.
I imagine him to be "set free" into the forest around the Kawani village to terrorize the villagers; forever hungry for a place to truly belong and fed only by his "Mother's" twisted love, he seeks food to fill that void... He is loyal to only one person - Mother Weeds. Sometimes, he enters the village late at night just to kill some livestock and/or attack some hapless human who was unlucky enough to be out that night, bringing scraps home to "Mother" and relishing her praises.
Comments: Um... I changed his expression to a frown/scrowl since it fits his character more. Horns, goatee and spade tail due to the nature of the legend since they are considered "demonic symbols". His hair is supposed to be slightly rough and unkempt, "Mother" sometimes grooming him out of "motherly love" before sending him out again. Rough fur in the same shade as his hair starting from his mid-back runs all the way to the end of his tail. He also has furry cheeks as well as a slightly furry chest - in the legend, he's supposed to be rather hairy! I wanted to keep his design simple, and I don't believe accessories will aid him when he's out hunting and being feral, so he's just rather hairy. |D
I also find it rather interesting that the brand of the Carnivale (the blood red crescent moon) on his forehead, together with the dot and line, looks like horns, a head and a long tail... Suiting his theme. So I painted the same brand, albeit larger, on his side. Additional black markings because it looks like a black fog to me, and its said that in the legend, it appears only on foggy nights.
I would love it if he could get an "alternate" version with some leftover (half eaten) livestock at his feet and blood on his muzzle and claws - to show him after a successful hunt. That "edit", however, is really out of my league to draw. xD

THIS IS MY MASTERPIECE twisted Name of Soquili: Ariel Temper: Detached Entry Is this an existing Legend or a new one you have invented? Existing Title of Legend: Shakespeare's Tempest Legend Details: In Shakespeare's play Tempest, an air spirit, Ariel, was bound in servitude to an evil witch. A dispossessed Duke/magician arrives on the island where Ariel is held by the witch. The magician kills the witch and takes Ariel into servitude for a year, promising him his freedom. He forces Ariel to create a tempest on the King's ship, washing the royal party to shore. Ariel performs many other services for the magician to help him regain his dukedom before finally being set free. Ariel - Shakespeare's TempestComments: I loved this play when I saw it last year and this beautiful uni reminded me of Ariel from the play. My art isn't that good, but I wanted to play up the winds around him, that could carry him with great speed anywhere he was sent and that answer to his call, whipping into a ferocious and deadly storm. Once again bound, now to the circus, he longs to again be free. The actor had beautiful henna tribal wings on his back that I tried to delineate with some dark wind. The small storm cloud at his ear is to indicate the power that answers to him. One of the things I most liked about Ariel is that it was obvious he wasn't human and wasn't grounded by human emotion or morals. He is a creature of air and wind and storm and he cared for nothing more than his freedom. Shakespeare You fools! I and my fellows Are ministers of Fate: the elements, Of whom your swords are temper'd, may as well Wound the loud winds, or with bemock'd-at stabs Kill the still-closing waters, as diminish One dowle that's in my plume: my fellow-ministers Are like invulnerable. If you could hurt, Your swords are now too massy for your strengths And will not be uplifted. . .

THIS IS MY MASTERPIECE twisted Name of Soquili: Obadiah *R 666 Temper: Judgmental
Entry

Is this an existing Legend or a new one you have invented? Existing... ish? Its one i found online, but I remember a different ending.
Title of Legend: The Porcelain Doll
Legend Details: Legend
But there is a twist! when I was a little girl we always told the ending as the girl did not die from the spiders, instead she went back to the store that night to exchange it. The door was unlocked even if the place looked closed for business. As she walked in the store she noticed that all the dolls there had a strange look in their eyes. The spoiled girl placed the doll she bough back with the others and turned to leave, only the door was locked. she looked back around and all the dolls, save her doll were gone. As she walked back to the display she saw all the dolls were alive... and after her! the dolls caught her around the legs and pulled her down, beating her into a smaller size.
Hours later she opened her eyes unsure of what happened. but when her eyes focused she noticed something odd, she was small, and on display in the store. she could not turn her head or move her limbs. A voice spoke to her
"You have become one of my dolls."
Comments: the Doll queen, turning spoiled girls into her followers. She looks beautiful on the top, the perfect porcelain doll, and yet something is hiding below all her beautiful clothes and curls. a way to bring the spoiled girls back to her and make them have a taste of what they were like.
Name is a doll name as well as the model number

That ones actually on the list of existing legends -- I'll Pm you to alert you - YE GODS I AM SUCH A SPAZ. Sorry! D8 New entry ahoy! 8D: THIS IS MY MASTERPIECE twisted Name of Soquili: Rrargh Temper: Simple Entry Is this an existing Legend or a new one you have invented? New one! 8D Though it's more a cautionary tale I suppose... Title of Legend: The Pretty Lights Legend Details: They say that the house on the hill is haunted. And that every Halloween the monster inside comes out. They say that the only way to prevent him is to place pumpkins with wolves carved on them in front of the house. The monster lives in the darkness. Cold and alone, he waits. For the one day of the year he sees light. The villagers see it as the day of terror, they keep their children inside, they lock the doors. The monster smiles. He knows not of the significance of the lights. He knows not of the fear. Of the horror of the villagers, as he stalks through the graveyard, half-monster, half-horse. He only knows the beauty of the one day with his lights. But this year is different. A child has disappeared. It wasn’t the monster. It was one of the townsfolk. Not that they know that. They blame him. The monster comes out, and he howls in pain. Where are his lights? He begins to cry, but in the eyes of the townsfolk, it is rage. The monster is going to kill them all. Sobbing, the monster stumbles down the hill, searching for his lights. It is the last thing he does. A villager stabs him. But he smiles, his toothy grin intimidating. “Pretty lights.” The words are rough. He hasn’t spoken in years. But the villagers frown…he couldn’t go to heaven ,could he? Years later, the monster’s mother comes to wreak revenge on those who killed her innocent child. When the villagers die, they see darkness. Only darkness. They say if you visit there still, lights dance across the hill, and a toothy smile can be seen. Comments: New entry ahoy! 8D

THIS IS MY MASTERPIECE twisted Name of Soquili: Zouca Temper: Seductive Entry unclothedIs this an existing Legend or a new one you have invented? One i have invented Title of Legend: The Soul Stealer Legend Details: Legend has it that once a year for the week before Halloween a mysterious, handsome but strange Stallion appears and chooses a single mare to attract. He treats her like a princess, seducing her something about him attracting the one he wants initially. For 6 days he will make her fall for him, give her promises of a new life, of love, pleasure and forever together, always refusing to so much as kiss her 'for honors sake' he will explain. On the night of the 7th day (Halloween night) he will take her to the place she loves the most and finally 'give in' and kiss her. This kiss will be her last as a normal mare, for once he kisses her he will steal her soul, leaving behind a hungry shell. In turn the unfortunate mare will become a soul eater, she will eat the souls of as many males as she can. always hungry for more, until she is caught and/or killed. Comments: Edits explanation Hair - Silvery/white, cloudy tendrils almost. (includes the tail hair) Necklace - leather band, silver symbol with a cloudy white/grey gem in the middle, (this is where he keeps the stolen souls). Cape - attatched to his necklace by the leather band, it is a dark blood red (like old dried blood that's been there a long time) it has strange silvery tendril-like trimming, (which sometimes seems to move of it's own accord) (i did what i could with ms paint)

THIS IS MY MASTERPIECE twisted Name of Soquili: Cetanwakuwa (means "attacking hawk" in Sioux) Temper: Temper mental Entry Is this an existing Legend or a new one you have invented?A mix of both Title of Legend: Legend of the Thunder Soquili Legend Details: Thunderbird Legends There was once a great uni stallion that protected the largest herd in the mountains. His name was Cetanwakuwa and he was prized as leader because of his strength, beauty and courage. These characteristics were also passed down to his beloved son, Dyami. However, unlike his father, Dyami was arrogant. The young foal would bully others his age and challenge his elders. One night the sky was alight with lighting and thunder. The loud sounds were keeping young Dyami awake, so he challenged the sky spirits and cursed out to the heavens. Enraged by this, the spirits unleashed their monstrous pet from atop the mountains... a giant thunderbird. At the flap of each wing, thunder would roll. Everytime it opened its beak, lightning would strike. The Thunderbird descended upon the young colt, grabbing him with its large talons. Off to the mountain he was carried to be devoured. Angered and in mourning at the loss of his son, Cetanwakuwa vowed to climb the mountain where the beast rested and slay it. Up and up he went, such a treacherous ascent. After many days and nights he finally reached the lair of the Thunderbird and outside lay the skeleton of Dyami. Blinded by grief and revenge, he entered the cave of the slumbering bird. Before the Thunderbird could open its eyes, Cetanwakuwa charged forward and plunged his horn into it's breast. By killing their pet, he had set the spirits against him. Cursed and deformed for life as a punishment, he was given the talons of the one he killed. His horn, now joined by another, curved upwards wickedly, forever stained with the beasts blood. At the mercy of those who cursed him, Cetanwakuwa would forever do the work of the Thunderbird. Even today it is said that children naughty enough to run away from their homes and enter the wilderness will be devoured by Cetan. Comments: I used the Thunderbird myth from real legends but the stallion taking on the Thunderbird is what I came up with, hence why i said a mix of both for existing or new. I was inspired by his looks. His talons reminded me of a birds so i remembered the thunderbirds. His black markings also resemble storm clouds which is why I thought it would work XD. I wanted to make it seem like he had lost something dear because of his black tear streaks. I hope you enjoy! Things I didn't label in picture: -Two giant thunderbird feathers, one attached to his hair, the other tied onto a tail clamp. -A collar made of carved stone. Indian like in shape and design, secreting blue tunderbird "spirit power" -Tail clamp of same design - Indian style thunderbird print on his side - Lighting sort of wrapped around him (if lighting can wrap XD) -Also the mask thats tipped back on his head was from a legend of the Thunderbird in that it was a shapeshifter who wore the mask. (in the wiki page) -Also the blue colors could be red if you want, i just randomly picked blue XD
