Spin spin spin spin spin...
Good thing he hadn't eaten recently, or he might have spit it out, with all that spinning.
And then he was used as an akward landing device - and well, there was another man clinging to him in a way other men shouldn't cling to him, but it couldn't really be helped. Themis smacked on his side against the floor, and spend more of the time Taranis used to free him looking around him.
Damnit, where the hell had his glasses landed ?
He didn't get the time to ponder this - the action picked up again, and he could make a large, dark blur jumping on the smaller, brown-colored blur that was Taranis. His glasses were somewhere on this damn floor, but he had no time to find them.
This meant magical means. Themis was on his feet, still a little dizzy. "Sorry !" He still had no idea what his power did to non-youma, but it wasn't like he could tell the other senshi to plug his ears and let it eat his face.
One hand rose toward the ceilling. "Themis Noise Amplification !"
There wasn't much to work with in a warehouse. But the sound of their fighting was enough to set the effect off as the area of influence - the youma backed off, and started turning in circles, looking for things that weren't there, confused as to where all these sudden noises were coming from. It hissed, and it only added to the effect.
That was Taranis' chance to strike.

Experience told Taranis to do just the thing that Themis was thinking. Whatever the senshi of noise had done, it left him with a pretty annoying headache, but judging from the way the youma was acting, that was only a fraction of the pain that an adversary would get. Scuttling backward from the youma, Taranis got to his feet.
One of the bonuses of being a super senshi was the sheer amount of attacks he had in his arsenal compared to before. If he was still just a starting senshi, there was no way he could have summoned the energy to finish off the youma. Again, Taranis called to his super-level power, arms flexing from the effort.
The youma continued to whirl in circles, staggering on its broken legs. The ball of sand swiftly darkened with moisture, making it hard-packed and considerably more dangerous. Taranis gave himself a running start, spun, and then launched the ball at the spider youma with deadly accuracy. It let out one final screech before exploding in a cloud of dust, along with a shower of wet sand.
After a moment, the dust disappeared, but the sand stayed behind. Taranis took several gasping breaths and then sat on a nearby box, holding his head in his hands. "Whatever you did," he said, rubbing his temples. "It gave me a headache." His eyes moved to where the youma had been. "Nowhere near what it did to that thing though. I'm glad for that." There was more he should probably say, but Taranis was too busy catching his breath.

"Sorry." Themis said, after putting his arm down and letting his attack fade away. "Usually I can get people to plug their ears, but..." Yeah, this wasn't exactly a good idea at that very moment.
Still, in was good to know that it wasn't too bothering if one couldn't plug their ears.
Themis squinted a bit, trying to peer of in the distance. "...Can you see my glasses ?" Damnit, where the hell had they fallen ?!

Shaking off the stiffness in his limbs, Taranis directed his eyes to the floor. There was so much debris, it was hard to tell where the glass - schink! Taranis tensed. Oh no. "Ah, sorry, man," he said, stooping to pick up what he had stepped on. "Oh wait." He turned and held up a broken magnifying glass. "False alarm. Who the hell leaves a magnifying glass in a warehouse?" The tool clattered against the far well when Taranis threw it.
After a few more steps, he spotted the pair of black frames. "Oh, here you go." Taranis picked them up and jogged back over to Themis. "You did a good job working with an impairment. Much better than would be expected." In general, he thought Themis had done actually pretty well. But he didn't want to make him too confident. "You need to work on your agility. It worked out this time, but you can't always get caught by everything a youma throws at you. Roll out of the way, block it, protect yourself." That day, Taranis hadn't been a particularly good role model.
Damn, he was tired. "But good job. That, uh... That's enough for today." This was just supposed to be a little sparring, not a full-on youma battle. Destiny City was full of surprises. "Let's call it a day and get out of here, Themis. We can try it again... later." Taranis started to walk toward the door, rubbing at his shoulder.

Themis' face upon hearing the sound of glass breaking was priceless. s**t, s**t s**t s**t shitshitshit...
Oh, false alarm. He let out a sigh of relief. He could not afford new glasses right now, and he wasn't looking forward to pulling some random explanation out of his a** to explain to his father how they'd ended up broken.
Thankfully, it looked like he wouldn't have to. He accepted his glasses back gratefully and started to sub the lens with his coat sleeve to clean them. "Im just, like... a little nearsighted. I can't really make out much, but I can still tell where things are." Now this would have been catastrophic if he had been a blind as a bat without glasses. He didn't want to think about it.
"Yeah, I know." It was easier to say than to do, but Xavier wasn't a person who tended toward arguing, so he just let it go. "Yeah, later." He hadn't expected a youma either, to be honest - and his multiple falls were now catching up on him now that the adrenaline had worn off.
And so, Themis was off as well.
