Oh man, she wasn't going to stop now... Still blushing he said "If I was a good liar I would of became a lawyer, not a priest! But I shouldn't like her, I hardly know her!" He mused lookeding off in to the distance.

Chana wore an expression much like a satisfied cat...or maybe a beaver regarding a finished dam. "That's just your faith talking. I want to know the girl that Stewart the man likes."
And hopefully it would be someone she knew. Though there was only one woman she'd met who hadn't yet changed...but, no. He was a priest! There was no way that Stewart would like Antony.

"That also is Stewart the man talking, really she is like my total opposite" He said sighing, she would never fall for someone like him in a million years.

"Really?" Chana replied, eyebrows raised. That was...intriguing. There was the remote possibility...rubbish! Good girls went for bad boys and good boys went for good girls! Right? Right?
This was making her head hurt. Especially because he was supposed to be a priest...
...then again, priests were still human...
"Why don't you just tell me who she is, and save us both headaches," she told him, slowly massing one temple.

After pausing for quite a long time he mumbeled softly ".....Antony......" Ugh, he couldn't believe he just said that!

Chana's ears twitched slightly. She couldn't quite make out the word...but had a sinking feeling she knew--had known who it was. Taking a deep breath to prepare herself, she asked him again.
"Sorry, I couldn't quite hear that. Mind repeating it?" Chana gave Stewart a look that said, quite sweetly, that she'd wring the answer out of him if absolutely necessary.

Oh god, why was she putting him though this!?! He still couldn't believe he had told her that. Looking pitiful he said "Antony! It's terrible but I really really reallly like Antony!"

And there it was. Out in the open. Antony. The b***h. Chana studied her deformed hand intently as she debated how to respond.
"Well," she finally said, "I suppose that all depends on your definition of 'terrible.' I know Antony can be polite when she wants to."

Stewart paused again before saying "It's just... she goes against everything I once believed in...." He looked around trying not to lose his head "I-I thought things couldn't get worse after the trial. But they did." Oh no, he thought his eyes growing wider. Did he really just say that? No one was supposed to know about the trial! And he had to go and open his fat mouth didn't he?

"Opposites attract, y'know," Chana muttered half to herself. Wasn't that why the bad guys always got the good girls?
Wait. Trial? Where had that come from? It seemed to have slipped out, so she decided to make a joke about it. "Trial? What were you there for, killing Jesus?" Chana winced inwardly at the amount of sarcasm she'd loaded on. At least she hadn't actually had to suffer being asked that since coming to this island...one point for Moreau.

Ouch. Stewart thought to himself, he had to admit she may of been joking but it still hurt. He said looking once more at the river "Well, I mean there was never a trial in court, but there were the hearings and th-" He stopped himself there, he had already said enough. Damn his mouth! His reputation was already ruined with some at home, but he would NOT be judged like that here.

Chana's eyes widened as Stewart let slip more about this trial. Clearly it was a Big Deal; far more than a car accident or such.
"Damn. You must've messed up big time," she commented. "But no one here needs to know that," the beaver girl added kindly. Everyone made mistakes...but anything off the island could always stay there.

"Oh god, I did. It ruined everything for me.... It's also why I got sent to this ******** island in the first place. But..." He paused looking more depressed than ever "Thanks for not asking too much about it, it's still hard to ever think about what happened."

Chana smiled at Stewart. "Whatever happened is in the past, and that's where it can stay. I won't tell a soul the little I've heard." She mimed locking her lips and throwing away the key.
"I just hope that someday you'll trust somone enough to tell them, if only to get it off your chest." And hopefully that day wouldn't be too far away for Stewart, or else whatever it was would probably eat him up inside.
Then again, he might just forget in the midst of daily survival. Chana's stomach growled at her and she swallowed the twig she'd been chewing on in her frustration.
Whoops. It didn't taste too bad though...or maybe she'd been on this island too long.

Stewart smiled, at least he could trust her. But he wasn't ready to tell everyting. Not yet, but before he could say anything else he noticed that she had been chewing on a twig. Almost laughing he said "Wow, I'm glad that I'm not the only one whose been eating strange things lately"
