Death   Death faltered here, but he shook his head, shrugging as he smiled, knowing instinctively that what Mia had said was true. He didn't know how he knew, but he did.
"I do not know my love, but I know that what she said is true," he said as he kissed her again. He did not think that he could be any hapier than he was, here with her right now, and with her expecting. "My love, Mia is your friend, and she knew your most dear dream. Maybe she gave you your desire without you knowing it, because you had found someone to love..." Death truly did not feel worthy of Life now, for he knew that she was the reason that only few of the gods and goddesses talked to her, and why some of her friends had left her. He also knew that she loved him unconditionally, and he knew that he never could deserve that love, because of what she could have almost missed, what she might still miss, a life full of friends and laughter, and parties and men better than him. He sighed, and then shook his head, banishing those thoughts from his mind. He had her, and she wanted him. That was all that mattered, and he would be the best person that he could be for her.
"I love you my darling... So much..." With that, Death leaned forward and kissed Life, gently and lovingly, trying to convey all his love to her through the simple pressure of his lips against hers.

Death Death chuckled at Life's comment about his negative feelings.
"You will hurt me eh? I don't doubt it." He smiled and then thought back to what she had said about Mia. "I should like to apologize to her as well. I used harsh words with her, and for that, I must apologize. I am not nearly so abominable as the others may think..." Death added bitterly. He sighed and shook his head, looking into Life's eyes.
"But for now, let us enjoy this vaction as fully as we are able!" He smiled and lifed Life from the hammock and took her outside the copse of palm trees that he had hidden her hammock in. The ocean sparkled beautifully at the end of the white sand beach, and Death had slowly constructed a beautiful little hut on the beach whenever he had had free time.

Death "I love you too," Death said in a husky tone. He leaned down and kissed her deeply, holding her ever closer to him as he did so. ZHe smiled at her when the kiss ended, but still kept his tight hold on her.

Death "Wait for me!" Death laughed as he went to the hut and changed into his own swimsuit, racing after her to jump into the warm water as well.

Death "Don't worry, I will!" Death shouted, racing after her. He dove under te water and surfaced mere inches from her, grabbing her gently around the waist as he pulled her close to kiss her. He treaded the water, unable to touch the bottom, but didn't mind one bit. He then let go of her, a happy grin on his face. He knew how wonderfully happy Life was now, and he was happy too. A child of their very own! His joy was genuine, and his own eagerness to prove himself more, even more prevalent.

Death Death laughed and raced after her, joining her and holding her close. He kissed her cheek, then Sighed happily, glad to be there with her.

Death Death didn't share in her worry. He could sense things about Life that she couldn't sense about herself. He could feel the child inside of her. He felt that it was healthy and alive, but he couldn't tell how far along it was.
"Darling, I think that you can't sense those things when the life is growing inside of yourself... I can feel the child, and it is there. I do not know how far along it is, but it is healthy. Trust me," he whispered as he held her closely against him.

Death Death smiled at Life and kissed her. He held her close. He would know if the child was dying too of course. That he would know all to well. A tremor of fear rocked him, but he wisely kept to himself. He would let her know right away if that ever happened... But... He shivered again. He didn't like the idea of it happening.
"The child is healthy," he said again, as if to reassure himself, and then kissed her cheek. e sighed a little, and shook his head. He would not want to see the look on her face if the child was dying... ((Yes, and I dunno... a standard nine months?))
