They were one their way to the Library. They, being Elzo and Marlo. Elzo had some sort of pre-planned get together, Marlo was just killing time before the ball. And work. He'd yet to say what he was working as, but judging from his traditional styled Carnival costume, Elzo only guessed it involved his brother looking gay in some funny a** pantaloons.

It was naturally Elzo who stopped his brother and pointed out the duck booth.
"I need five bucks."
"No."
"But- GIANT. PLUSH. You know how-"
"No."
"A hold punch wi-"
"Do you ever stop thinking of her?"
"No!"

The conversation ended with a man in a mask handing a few dollars to an overly excited mobster. Elzo pretty much was bouncing on his feet while he waited, Marlo crossed his arms and stood to the side.
Elzo was grinning as he slapped the cash onto the table and reached into the pool, almost leening in so far he might have fallen in if someone pushed him.
Marlo felt like pushing him.

Pulling a duck from the water, he thrust it at the little girl, mentally cooing over how adorable she was.
"What did I win?"
He was acting worse then the third graders in the stall.

Marlo regret not pushing him.

Much cleaner and much happier, Bo gave the cute little girl a passing nod and then moved off toward the next booth. If he kept up this pace, he would see the whole carnival in the next two hours. He did need to meet up with Elzo pretty soon, which was bound to put a damper on his remaining time. But Elzo was a cool guy -- so hey, who cared!

In his idle brain chatter, Bo failed to notice Elzo approach behind him. He was too busy tossing his little rubber spider in the air and skipping off toward whatever lay in the future. Maybe more funnel cake.

Yes. More funnel cake.

Istas looked at the duck and looked back at Marlo who was Waiting on Elzo. She grinned at both of them. "Hold on I'll get it!"

It was a mystery prize, and it was obviously from the good box. No icky spiders or... well whatever else happened to be in there that made the little girl squeak in horror last time.

"Lets see... number 4." She said softly as she bounced over to the box and started riffling through.

"AHHH-HAH!" She squealed as she pulled from the box a pot.

Istas' mother lofted a brow at the Girl in the bunny suit. However she was busy getting Elzo's card for a hole punch.

Istas bounced back over to Elzo with the pot beaming. "I hope you like it!" She said with a smile, "You can keep the duck too, if you'd like!"

The pot held plastic African violets, it was painted gray with felt wiskers, eyes, nose, and ears, oh and tail too. It was obviously hand decorated by a 3rd grader, just with the lack of sparkle glue that Istas enjoyed putting on her works sometimes.

Ariel was working around in her cat costume. It was not that easy to move with it actually. The dress was kind of going in the way. Anyway she was enjoying the carnival, it was the first time she went to an event like this since she was little.

She was eating a caramel apple when she was attracted by the animation in the “Pluck a Duck” game. Some people were taking big challenge with what look like special mystery duckies. She actually wanted to take the challenge but someone got a spider…. She is not really scared of bug but she didn’t really wanted this to take back home.

She decided to play the security and go for the regular duck.
"Three tries, please." She handed off his money to the one who looked responsible of the booth, Istas' mother.

Trying to put her clothes away fom the water so it will not be wet, she picked three duckies, one pumpkin colored, one all black looking like a cat and a regular one.

Then she waited for the result, taking a glance at the cats or rabbits plushies waiting on the display.

((I hope i did it correctly))

Parker will be selecting a mystery duck.

Working at the dunking booth had taken the wind out of Parker's sails, not that there was really much wind there to speak of on a normal day. He needed the credits, but he really didn't need the humiliation. With Kat there, the pressure had been taken off of him. They could swap back and forth and otherwise spare each other a neverending cycle of torment. For that and that reason alone, Parker tentatively liked the girl.

After several shifts, the booth's owner had given him the go-ahead to take his break. He was on his way to grab something to eat when he walked by the 'Pluck a Duck' booth and recognized a familiar girl. Hey, hadn't this one tried to dunk him? "I remember you," he said. "I didn't realize you were working this thing too." Clear blue eyes surveyed the rule board.

It seemed like a straight-forward game. Dani wasn't there with him. Her parents were still keeping a pretty tight leash on her, which was fine by him. He wanted her safe too. Whenever she mentioned suiting up to patrol, Parker nearly had a nervous breakdown. At least if she was in her house, he knew she was okay, even if it meant she wasn't around him. It would have been nice to win something for her with her there to see -- but wouldn't it be nice anyway?

"I'd like to try," he said. For a moment, he almost made a joke about trying to dunk her in the pond, but with an adult so close, it seemed a little inappropriate. Parker handed over his money, leaned down, and plucked his duck.

Istas greeted both Ariel and the dunking booth guy. She smiled when they both wanted to pull ducks and watched before going to see what they'd won. The girl was first, so she looked at the ducks and smiled. "Ohh, it looks like you got lucky!"

Turning to her mother she caught the woman's attention, "She got two stuffed animals, Mama!" She called with a grin. "And you get to pick a candy!" She said with a smile and grabbed the candy bowl offering it to the girl.

Chi smiled as she noticed the girl eying the rabbit and cat plush toys. "Of course, I think I have an idea of what you might want." She got up from her seat and walked over to where the plush toys were.

She produced a rabbit and a cat for the young lady. "Here you are miss. I hope these two are okay." Giving a soft nod she settled back down until Istas needed her help again. The little girl was so helpful, and until she didn't want to help any more, Chi was more than happy to let her child help.

Istas then went to look at Parker's number, "That dunking booth looked awful fun. I'm sorry I tried to dunk you but I wanted to see if I was a good throw." She smiled and grinned, "I almost hit the target once!"

However when she saw his number she frowned slightly and went to fetch the box. She didn't like this box, it had creepy things she didn't like. However, she paused when she saw one certain thing peaking out of the corner.

"Huh...." She pulled it out and his number happened to be on it.

"I think... it's a reject rabbit... something like a dog and a rabbit or something." She walked over to him and offered it to Parker with a soft frown. "You'll give 'em a good home won't you?" She asked with a tilt of her head.

Chi offered Parker a hole punch for his card. "Here you go." She smiled, the mystery prizes were often tough 'cause they all seemed so weird, so she felt bad for not giving those kids a hole punch.

((Sorry I forgot to put the number on that on Akina. ^^; If you want me to I can fix it.))

Ariel eyed the rabbit and the cat plushes with a really big smile. She couldn’t believe she was actually able to won two. She refrained herself for not jumping everywhere with her new friends, but you could see that she was truly happy about her prizes.

She turned back to the young girl, who should have been around her age and her mother. “Thank you very much, if it is possible I would like to play again an other time. Only if it is allowed of course.”
She was not the type who wouldn’t respect rules or take the places which should be own by someone else. She guessed maybe each player could win only one time, and she already won twice.

But there was one more thing she would like to try. The mystery duck !

She turned back to the people in charge.
“Can I play for the mystery duck too?”
And then she waited for the reply, still hugging her two plushies.

-It seemed a like a bit of a kiddie game, as could be seen by the fact that a kid was help running it. But nonetheless Aitana was drawn in to curiously look at the little dressed up duckies. These were no regular rubber duckies! She admired them for a long moment while another girl played, pulling up a hoard of duckies before receiving stuffed animals and candy.

Following the advice of her foster family, to go and try everything and have fun, the exchange student offered up enough cash for one duck, mimicing the entriguing word Ariel had spoken.- "Mystery duck for me as well, please"

((AHH! I didn't actually think someone would roll the same number. XD; *fail* If you don't mind re-rolling, it'd be nice. ^^;

Mystery Prizes claimed: 41, 4, 49. ))

Chi chuckled at the girls excitement. "Of course you can pull a mystery duck too." She took the money and smiled at the Aitana as well. "If you'd like." She placed the girl's money in the box they were keeping up with the money in.

Istas was age 9, it'd be hard for the older girls to mistake her for their age. She simply waited for the girls to pull their mystery ducks. "OH! I forgot to mention you can keep a ducky that you pulled too." She made sure to include Parker in this as well.

Ariel handed over the money, her smile remaining on her face. And now that she could see the little girl closer she could say that she was actually younger than her without doubt.
She was carefully looking at the ducks. She would like her chance to still remains. Silently she sang a song because she actually didn’t know which one attracted her much. So pointing her finger at each she sang and when the song finished she picked the last duck she pointed.
“Ok this one” she said, while giving it to see the result.

-The little pool was fairly full of people, but Aitana didn't mind. She waited for Ariel to reach for her duck, eyes scanning the water in search of 'the one'. Her lips puckered, eyes narrowed, her fingers tapping against her upper leg as she searched.

The girl grabbed one and then Aitana spotted it, the most perfect duck. She waited, crouched and with fingers hovering for it to make it's way around the pool in it's slow little bobble and as soon as it was close enough she snatched it up, holding it up to the booth woman with a wide grin.-

Demy will be plucking normal ducks!

The best thing about his halloween costume was it gave him a reason (besides it simply being everyday attire for him) to carry around what was essentially one big god damn glowstick. Jedi wasn't exactly his first choice, but it was one Zee had deemed fitting and eventually Demy went along with it. Mostly when it was mentioned he could carry around the glowing toy and be in character.

This. Was. Awesome.

Games were his current haunt, and duck plucking had always been a personal favorite of his. He...couldn't really explain why, but hey! It was fun, and a real easy way to win a prize. Prizes were -always- awesome in his book. Money was exchanged, and soon enough his acid green gaze was directed to the ducks so he could pick the perfect three.

((...oh dear Schee you're a bit TOO good at this duck plucking thing XD; it always was -my- favorite fair game! Ummm, idk for plushies D: panda, gerbil, donkey maybe? Or just..whatever. A panda would be awesome so he could give it to Zee though <3 ))

((Mystery duck for Gigi))

Gigi wandered through the carnival aimlessly, looking for the group of friends she was supposed to meet. They weren’t where they said they’d wait for her (probably because their meeting time had been nearly two hours ago), and none of them were answering their phones. Still, she had a coffee in one hand and a small ‘carnival allowance’ that her mother had wisely not given her until she was on the carnival grounds. She was going to have a good time even if the others didn’t turn up.

Rides weren’t as much fun on her own, so Gigi headed towards the games instead. Guaranteed prizes were the way to go, she decided, because if she hit the chance games she’d probably be playing the same one forever. And besides, the little pond of ducks was just too cute!

“Hi! Just one, please!” she said, offering her money to the stall holder. “Aww, who painted these up? They all look great, how am I ever going to choose?

She reached out and snagged a little black spider-duck. She was Black Widow today, so it kind of went with her costume. “Surprise me!” she told the lucky duck, and turned it to hold up the number.

Mystery Duck for Ellie (and crew, but only rolling for Ellie)

The strange trio continued their rounds through the carnival. The blonde videogame plumber was fawning over his new ugly fish, who got named "Sewage" since that was what it looked like it had popped up from. The motorcycle chick had managed to find a stand that was selling giant spicy pickles. Giant pickles weren't bad, but only the spicy ones were really worth her time. And finally, the plainest of the trio, Zuniga with his soccer jersey, was just walking along with his hands in his pockets. They had gone on a few rides, but nothing had really caught his attention yet.

Until now.

"Oh hey, let's all do this!"

Ellie gave it a glance and let out a "What?! HELL NO!!!!" Plucking ducks was such a child's game.

Jared glanced away from Sewage for a moment and looked as well. "I agree. What the hell Zuniga? Where are your balls man?!"

The darker haired boy of the group waved his hands in front of himself. "Hey hey, easy chicos! I'll pay for it... but it looks like a pretty easy way for me to get some 'gifts' for my little cousin. She's turning 6 next month. I'll pay, we each take 1 turn, and then all of the prizes we get go to me so I can give them to her for her birthday!"

Ellie snorted. "Yer crampin' my style, Zuniga!" She shoved him towards the booth.

Zuniga held out his hand in front of him with three fingers up. "Tres, por favor. One for each!" He gestured to the other two.

Each leaned over and looked over the ducks.

Jared was the first one to pick, grabbing up a sickly green duck. It probably had something to do with matching his newfound pet.

Ellie was the next, picking up a dark red one. "It was a chainsaw victim" she said as if it was simple logic.

Zuniga went last, picking out a black and white duck. It wasn't quite soccer ball material, but it was close enough.

[Lily will be picking the mystery duck]

Rose wanted to the see the whole carnival in one night knowing she might not be able to come again in the week and wanting to try everything. She was suprised to hear that despite having come to the carnival every day Lily had not done much, but Lily did have more time than she did.

"Rose, will you stop pulling me please. You are making me feel like a rag doll. We have all night, and I brought my own car, so we do not even have to stay together," said Lily matter of factly. She had not spent this much time with her sister in some time and while she had been happy at first, now she was annoyed. She sorely wished Xander was there with them.

Rose ignored Lily and continued to poke and prod her sister along until she spotted the most adorable booth. "Look Lils, that so cute. I remember playing pluck a duck with you when you were like two. You won a bucket a candy."

Rose walk toward the booth smiling, "Come on Lily lets play. For old times sake, huh?"

Lily smiled and headed for the booth, seeing no harm in playing. It looked safe, clean, and not the least bit scary. Lily stood back watching as her sister picked a duck and grinned when her sister had apparently won some sort of candy, though she did not see what it was.

Rose stepped back and looked to her sister, motioning for her to move forward and take a turn wondering just exactly her sister would win. She could see many prized lined up and was really suprised to have won candy.

Lily nodded and moved over to the little pool of floating duck. "I'll have a try," she said softly handing over her money, before leaning down and plucking a duck up from the pond.
