Smiling Vana nuzzled her, drawing his wing about her. He had been turning ideas around the entire time he had been talking to Ariia after the mage had made his offer. Stretching his free wing out to its full extent he sighed. He wished he could have taken Ariia flying one last time...
"I'll offer my flight." He said, his voice as cold and rigid as ice.

Ariia's eyes widened when Vana stated his offer. Was he serious? He couldn't be... but the look in his eyes and the tone of his voice said that he was. She was a bit sad, she knew how he loved to fly, but, they would be able to have cubs and that was something her heart yearned for. She did not question his decision, merely pressed up against him, her way of thanking him for his sacrifice. As she looked to the mage she smiled, "May we have our potion please?"

The mage grinned, stepping forward. "That payment would be quite acceptable." He drew a paw up and began to draw out something in the air, the symbols coming to fiery life moments after tracing them. The symbols spread out and circled Vana, separating him from Ariia before enveloping him completely. A few moments later the "bubble" receded, getting smaller and smaller and pulling away from him, revealing Vana once more... with no wings. It stopped once it was about the size of a golf ball and floated over back to the mage.
He then held up a vial with blue liquid in his claws, to which the spell gently floated into and dissolved, turning the liquid red and glowing. The mage turned to Ariia and held the vial out to her. "As you have paid, so shall you receive. The form of payment bonded to your offspring. Drink this and join with your mate. You will be with cubs before the morrow." With that the mage stepped back and faded away, leaving the vial to float in mid air.
