"Through my travels I have been in contact with all of them but the past 200 years 12 of them have been destroyed by a select few necromancers who do not believe we should exist...However my encounter with these people resulted in their numbers being cut i half. So, only 9 of my kind remain and we are all very close."
He looked at her hoping her questions continued because he wanted her to know about him and his kind so she might be interested in serving a great purpose.

"Wait 200 years. How old are you?" Brianna was glad he was taking her questions well and pulled an arm chair closer to her bed to sit on. She wasn't comfortable enough around him to sit next to him on her bed yet. It just seemed a bit awkward to her and possibly miss leading depending on the person.

He chuckled lightly.
"I am somewhere around older than dirt and 965."

"Holy crap." Was all Brianna could come up with at the moment. She knew that made her seem uber young, but well everything was compared to him. she shook her head a little and continued with her list of questions. "So other the whole body guard thing, what does your kind do? Like powers and that sort of stuff?"

He laughed at her reaction finding it amusing that even though he looked twenty his wisdom exceeded hers by centuries.
He looked at her his dark eyes fixated on her, "Our kinds powers vary. Like mine I draw my power from the moon but that's the style of necromancy i was learning before i was turned. We bring over whatever magic we have when we are created but we can learn through drinking the blood of others."
He paused before continuing, "You see Daemons do not need blood to survive we honestly don't need any sustenance to survive but we require blood for two reasons, one to learn new abilities, and two, to perform those magics and abilities."

Brianna was glad she had asked the question but was also regretting it. She wasn't totally sure what to ask next, too many images flew into her head. The only question that raised in her mind was extremely broad but it seemed like it should be asked, if only to gage how much information he was willing to give up. "What else should I know about your kind?"

He smiled, "The other 8 aren't as kind as I for sure, they are very skeptic especially around necromancers but that is because they can be easily drawn back into servitude. I however act as a a "diplomat" you may say. Seeing as the same rules do not apply to me."
He took a breath and then continued, "Me and two others make up this make shift council in which we try to make desicions that are best for us all but it isn't a proper council. The only power I have with my bretheren is that I get to finalize any desicion. But I believe I have managed to side step your question, just as humans are diverse, Daemons are just as diverse. That is the only way i can describe them."

Brianna only nodded. She was fairly certain that if the others had a chance they would try to kill her. She couldn't think of anything else to ask just now. But she wasn't sure if she wanted to open the floor to questions about herself. So she sat, trying to think of something more to ask him.

Sensing her uneasiness about the other Daemons he added, "Do not worry we are a very possessive type, They will not harm you as long as you serve me."
He thought for a second. "Now tell me child, how is it you came into being a necromancer?"

Brianna sighed, she knew if she had stopped her questioning this would happen. "Well in my case it's hereditary. My mother was one. I get the natural ability from her side of the family."

His eyes flared bright red.
"Do you know what this means child?" His voice almost seemed to tremble as he spoke each word emanating excitement. As he grinned at her.

His smile never faded but his eyes returned to their dark color.
"Being a necromancer by blood is a great thing! You have potential beyond any necromancer who has to learn the art. You have an added advantage. This art is who you are inside and out! And your power will grow at an increasingly quick rate once we start training!"
Not to mention his own power would grow with hers as well but he didn't feel the need to let her in on that just yet.

"Doesn't seem so great from where I'm sitting." And she meant it. Brianna would gladly give it up to have a normal life. But since she didn't see that option on the table she wanted to control this power and that was all. Or at least for now thats what she thought.

His tone was stern and annoyed, "You have no idea the gift you have been given so until you learn what you have I suggest you do not insult it."
His eyes were still soft and gently and his face was as well but his voice he hoped would be enough to get his message through to this girl.
