Namir just smiled and nodded. He wasn't really pining his hopes on the one he lost but apparently he hadn't really been clear. But he didnt want to correct her so he just sat silent as she said to move on. He was and he had but that didn't mean he didn't miss the idea of having a female to take home.
"Hey! Its not like I can just grow my main with shear will power. And I normally am confident, I'm just having a off day today. I'm always a gentleman and I know I just have to let fate take its course." Namir made a face at Ampalaya, having his flaws pointed out was not what he would call fun. "You know Ampalaya you are the strangest lioness I have met so far but that's OK since I like you anyway... as a friend of course." He laughed softly. He knew that even if Ampalaya was interested in him that way she would not go for the whole muliti-mate thing.

A bit shocked at Namir's response, Ampalaya took a step back - and chuckled again. She couldn't help it; she hadn't been expecting that much of an outburst from Namir. Even a small one.
"I didn't mean to pick on you, Namir. I'm sorry. Even if you think I'm strange. I'm sorry I don't know any willing and available females you could take back with you. I guess we must both just soldier on."

Namir shrugged. "Its no big deal my brother can pick on me a lot worse then again I guess that is what brothers do." He smiled even though it was a sad smile, "I kind of figured that Ampalaya but its ok because I have a feeling my luck will change soon." He turned back to the grasslands and happened to notice where the sun was. "Oh dear. I guess its later then I thought." The sun had indeed started its decent into night. Namir paused for a moment, he really should be going but he just didn't feel like spending the last hour or two of the day traveling.
"Ampalaya would you be willing to keep me company tonight," Namir really did want the company and she was interesting and intriguing, "just as friends I assure you." She had made it clear that she was not interested in him that way but that didn't mean that they couldn't spend time together. "Its just I don't really want to continue on my travels today and yet I don't want to spend the entire evening alone with my own thoughts. I also realized that while we talked about what was bothering me we did not really discussed why you are out here alone."

"Company is always nice when you've been alone. And I've been alone for too long. Long enough to start talking to myself." Ampalaya was also interested in finding out who it was who did make Namir's heart beat fast; she knew there was someone he was waiting for, even if he wouldn't say her name - either she was nosy or it was just a girl thing. She would worm it out of him eventually.
"There's a rise over that way that probably has some good shelter. Let's go, shall we?"
