"Jake, what?" Cheyenne asked, not fully knowing who he was until he gave his last name. She raised an eyebrow curiously.

"Jake Li-" he stopped in midsentence, staring at her. He was silent, mouth open slightly in awe. "Cheyenne?!"

Cheyenne looked at Jake, confusion clear on her features. She reached forward and closed Jake's mouth, "You're not a spider so you can't eat flies." She said, giving a small laugh at that.

Jake blushed slightly at his staring. It was just.....Well, Cheyenne used to be some dorky girl who liked him. Now she was.....kinda hot. He was speachless.

"What's the matter, cat got your tongue?" Cheyenne asked, tilting her head to the side the way she'd always do before he'd moved away. The girl turned when she heard someone call her and another girl stopped next to her. They two talked silently and Cheyenne nodded, "Alright, tell coach I'll be there right after school." She told her teammate, who nodded and ran back off.

Cheyenne turned to look at Jake and she blinked. The realization of who he was hit her hard and her face grew pale. She stepped back from him, clutching her notebooks closer to her chest, still remembering what he'd done to her 2 years ago. She looked around, "I-I'm sorry Jake, but I have to get to class." She said, running off before he could do anything.

Jake was going to say something, but she was gone before he could. He sighed and walked into the school.

Cheyenne stopped in a girls' bathroom near her first period class. She sat in the stall, just looking down at her lap. (Why's he back. I thought he wasn't coming back!) She thought, a silent tear rolling down her cheek. She was confused and still hurt. She sat there for a while before getting up and leaving the bathroom after washing her face.

Jake went to his new locker and put his things away. Why am I such a b*****d? he thought, closing his locker. He became angry at himself and banged his head against the locker. "Ow." he muttered, walking to his class.

Cheyenne sighed and went to her class. She sat down in the back like normal whenever she didn't have any of her friends in her classes and turned to look out the window. She drifted off in to thought, her chin leaning against her hand.

Jake saw Cheyenne in the back and shook his head. He walked to a seat in the middle and sat down.

Cheyenne ignored the other students. She really didn't want to deal with anyone right now. Her thoughts were focused on Jake, wondering why he was back.
