The more he spoke, the more calm Lela felt about this whole thing. He would protect her in her.... weakened state she would be in. Of course, she knew she was going to help him out. Lela was a sucker for sob stories, true or false, so she would want to help him out. With a deep breath, she took a moment to get her composition back and then put on an easy grin.
"Yeah... I'll do it, Sil. I'll help you and your pride. 's your lucky day, hm?" She grinned, playing the joker card again.

Her grin brought a smile of pure joy to his face, gold eyes warm with gratitude. "Thank you Lela.. I can never express enough how much this means to me, and them." Moving forwards he hugged her close for a brief moment, then sat back, grinning like a fool.
Maybe the hardships of the past year were finally coming to an end for the Kitwana... maybe, just maybe... this was the start of happier days.
