[8 Xander DelMaer 8] -Species: thunder/lightning demon Grade: college freshman Abilities: thunder/lightning manipulation, R.E.M.R.-'no! no! don't press the red button!' "Left-kick, left-kick, two runs down!" A pale-skinned young man was jamming the controls down on one of the Arcade's fighting games. Said young man was wearing a sleeveless, cream-colored hoodie(a simple black tank-top underneath that), weather-worn black jeans, and a simple pair of sandals. He wore a black wristband on both wrists, several small silver bracelets joining the wristband on his left wrist. To complete his look, he had a bandage under his right eye(it was from an incident earlier that day).
The young man's name was Xander DelMaer, a freshman at the academy...His pale skin was because he was a vampire, you say? Oh no...he'a a demon. He just never really tanned well~.
"And~ that's how we do!" Letting go of the controls, Xander pointed triumphantly at the fighting game's screen as it flashed 'WINNER!'. "The graphics look great now..." He grinned. "...and they run faster, too; knew it was just a buggy system."
Not that he needed the extra cash, but Xander found his niche during his down-time from classes. He took up a job at the Arcade that was just off-campus, his almost-inane knack for technology(and electricity...) helping out quite a bit.
He~...just liked playing the games on occasion. Nothing wrong with that, right?'...I wanted t'press it~'

Rae entered the Arcade curiously. She hadn't seen anything like this before. She glanced at the machines . . . None really drew her attention. They wre all flashing and sparkly, but seemed rather cheap. Seeing several people looking at her, she self-consciously drew her white ankle-length cloak more tightly around her, trying to stay hidden in the shadows. Through her hood, only her wide blue eyes could be seen.
She examined the people inside. Most were staring avidly at their screens, looking like zombies . . . One boy in particular caught her eye. He seemed to be younger than her. He was also talking to one of the machines . . . Odd. Did he have an ability to communicate with machinery?
And now he was smiling and pointing at the screen, before talking some more. She was about to approach him, but . . . No. She couldn't do it. She shrank back further into the shadows, hoping not to be noticed.

Lillie loved it when her father sent her to do his task. She knew that he cared for her future and was proud of her, but, it was getting to the point that it would seem like he was picking her because they were family over some other student. The girl was busy. She needed to beat any rivals that came her way with the upcoming school election. Now she was stuck looking for her cousin in an arcade. She didn't want anyone to notice her in here. Thing of what people would say. "Abby." She called out hoping the girl would answer and come to her.

[8 Xander DelMaer 8] -Species: thunder/lightning demon Grade: college freshman Abilities: thunder/lightning manipulation, R.E.M.R.-'no! no! don't press the red button!' "Well, now." The afore-mentioned grin seeming to be plastered to his face, Xander clapped his hands together, the silver bracelets on his left wrist making an almost-pleasant jingling sound. "Guess I've gotta go back t'work n--" His attention was caught by someone(a woman, he guessed), said person almost completely covered in a white cloak.
He quirked a thin, medium-brown eyebrow. 'Hello, what's this now...' Figuring that the mystery woman needed some form of assistance - he did work at the Arcade, after all - the thunder demon sauntered up to her, hands planed firmly on his hips.
"Hiya!" He gave her his 'trade-mark' broad grin, waving in a friendly manner. "Need any help, ma'am?"'...I wanted t'press it~'

Rae took an involuntary step back as the boy she had been watching came over to her. She had been inspecting the new girl when he greeted her. She focused on the younger boy.
"Not really," she answered honestly. "I just wanted to know why you were talking to a machine?" She wanted to know if he was a technopath - she'd never met one before.

Lillie went from row to row of machines trying to find the pixie. She would even double check in some places seeing if her cousin double tracked or maybe hid behind something. Abby was fast so to beat that the elf had to use her own speed and smarts to out wit her. The elves heels seemed to drown out the noises the machines were making.

[8 Xander DelMaer 8] -Species: thunder/lightning demon Grade: college freshman Abilities: thunder/lightning manipulation, R.E.M.R.-'no! no! don't press the red button!' He blinked for a few seconds. "...Y'heard that, hunh?" He rubbed the back of his head in a sheepish manner, chuckling. "Don't worry about it...I have a knack for technology, thanks to my powers." He splayed out a hand for the girl to see, and as he did, a small ball of lightning formed in his hand. "I can pretty much manipulate any form of electricity, be it technological or natural." He nodded, as if to confirm this.
"A~anyway, I'm Xander." He gave her a two-fingered salute in greeting. "I work here at the Arcade durin' down-time from classes."'...I wanted t'press it~'

Rae nodded, struggling to keep her concentration on the person in front of her - there was someone weaving in and out of the machines in high heels. You didn't see that every day.
"I'm Rae. You go to the school here, too?" she asked curiously. So, yeah. He was a technopath . . . Interesting. She hadn't actually been to visit the school yet. She was too scared to. Too many people milling about . . .

[8 Xander DelMaer 8] -Species: thunder/lightning demon Grade: college freshman Abilities: thunder/lightning manipulation, R.E.M.R.-'no! no! don't press the red button!' "Yep!" He nodded. "Nice to meetcha, Rae." Again, a two-fingered salute. "And in case if my earlier display wasn't any indication as to my powers, I'm a thunder demon." He nodded again, the grin returning to his face. "My powers allow me to communicate with technology, and helped me create what I'd like to think is my signature weapon." To his dismay, Xander couldn't show his R.E.M.R. - see his profile - in the Arcade, because of the rule that stated that no form of weaponry was allowed in any off-campus area.
Which he thought was lame.
"For the record," he finished. "I'm a college freshman here at the academy." He fell silent as his hazel-colored gaze settled on Rae, allowing her to absorb that new bit of information for a few moments.'...I wanted t'press it~'

Lillie again we took another look around. Then a third. Then a fourth. Abby would only thing the perfectionist would only check three times over four times. Her heels tapping behind her. She swore the room had the smell of sweat. Like someone was getting a work out from one of these machines. It was easy to tell that she could out dance anyone in this building.

Rae smiled slightly. "I'm a demon as well . . . Well, half-demon anyway. I specialise in umbrakinetic energy," she explained, holding up her own hand, making a black energy circle around it. "And, I'm a sophmore, I think it is."
Rae was interested in this weapon . . . She never used any weapons herself - just a bit of hand-to-hand, but mostly using her powers. Her thoughts were right, though. He was younger than her.

[8 Xander DelMaer 8] -Species: thunder/lightning demon Grade: college freshman Abilities: thunder/lightning manipulation, R.E.M.R.-'no! no! don't press the red button!' Xander crossed his long(ish) arms over his chest, an irritated pout evident on his face. "..." So Rae was a demon as well...well, she was a half-demon. That was always a good thing. And odds are, she was interested in his 'signature' weapon(of his own creation), his R.E.M.R. '...Wa~ait a sec.' A glint of realization appeared in his hazel-hued eyes. 'If she takes Advanced Combat like I do, I can show her the R.E.M.R., and not get in trouble for it!' Standing up straight - at full height, he stood at around 6'02" - he slammed a fist into his open palm.
"...Listen, Rae." He couldn't help but grin a little. "D'you have Advanced Combat anywhere on your schedule?"'...I wanted t'press it~'

Rae raised an eyebrow. ". . . I don't do a lot of direct combat. I use a bit of hand-to-hand, but mostly my powers. I'm not sure about my schedule, though . . . Where can I find it?"
She wanted to know why crossed his arms, then stood up, then slammed his fist into his palm. And now he was smiling. Odd.

Artie Hopper Artie walked slowly into the arcade, peeking around a bit, to make sure there weren't any girls nearby. He quickly went to the back corner of the arcade and started to look at all the games, he really liked playing them. He smiled a bit as continued looking, whenever a girl would start heading in his general direction, he's quickly hide behind one of the bigger machines. He slowly came out and sighed a bit in relief, "Ah..that was close." He muttered in relief as he continued to look at the different arcade games.

((Soz about that. Internet committed suicide.))
Rae watched as a new kid entered. He looked around like someone was after him. And . . . Now he was hiding from people behind some of the games. What an odd child.
She shifted her stance slightly. Were all the kids that went to her new school like this?
