You're still in high school right? :0 Like a junior or something? I'm still in high school, but considering I joined the guild before high school, that ain't too bad. You're in the right area year wise but slightly off.

There are multiple factors. A few of them are location, lack of experience, no car, and job unavailability. I think we're way off this topic too.

But think of it this way: while you guys are all, "Dang, am I a little too old for this?" it shall still be perfectly fine for me! Well, you can't be too old for .hack anyway. But still. From a social standpoint, most people will give me less grief about it because it could just be a teenage thing or whatever. (It isn't.)
