The spirit was finally gone, leaving Xiu trembling and nauseous as he watched all the previously whirling paraphernalia clatter to the floor.. He was covered in a sheen f sweat, but he didn’t care. They had done! The temple was saved and Xiu had managed to do something right for a change. Without Sakn he knew he would have been a goner for sure.
“I guess so.” Xiu replied, giving a breathless kind of laugh as he looked up at his companion with a tired smile. “Does it bother you?” There was a hint of worry there, memories of his childhood floating up in his minds eye. He pushed them away though. Now wasn’t the time for that. Sakn was already looking a bit concerned and Xiu tried to smile wider and assure the redhead.
“Sure, sure. I’m fine. What about you?” Granted Xiu felt like he’d been rung dry. He was still shaking and despite his bravado, his face was paling rapidly. “I’m fine.” He said again, mostly to himself. To prove it, he took a few wobbling steps forward which proved to be his undoing.
Vision petering to black, Xiu suddenly collapsed in exhaustion.

As soon as Xiu attempted to reassure Sakn that he was fine, the redhead knew he was lying. He was quick and stepped in just as his smaller friend crumpled to the ground, catching him before he had a chance to bonk his head on the hard temple floor.
"Idiot," Sakngea groused before carefully lifting the young monk up and throwing him over his shoulder fireman style (he would not be caught dead carrying a man, passed out or not, in his arms) before moving towards the door. He ignored the shake in his knees and the sweat that trickled down his face. He was physically exhausted, but he couldn't stand to stay in this place.
The sun was blinding as he stumbled out from between the doors, and the young man ignored the weird looks people gave him as he carried Xiu down the streets of the city. He had no clue where his friend lived, so figured the next best thing would be go to his village and see if Sothy could help.
