The n** had her giggling, as poor Prion's near-bite was indeed misconstrued. Puppy like to n**! What a strange, strange flirt he was. "Save it for the main course up ahead~" she purred like the silly girl she was, and slowed just enough to let her safely look behind her -
- and in time to witness the nice thunk her new friend made. Ribs to tree! Yiiiike. Annabell winced in sympathy for him, though this was quickly whisked away when he once more began catching up. Craaaaap, this guy's quick! she once more found herself thinking, pants growing heavier as she darted forward. But fresh prey was ahead! She could smell it!
It was ahead, ahead, in sight! And closer, closer . . . right there! Anna hit the breaks and skidded, toppling over from the inertia with a laugh! She was all but wheezing, but there was the food just behind her! A few carcasses, yes, some already half-finished, but she was sure they could finish them up, sleep it off, and go find the head hunter for a lesson or two.
Yup, everything was already pretty settled in her head, neat and defined. But first, catching her breath! Oy, the chase was more taxing than she thought . . . "Still . . . worth it," she said breathily, managing a smile as she watched Prion come at her like a black arrow. Somehow, this wasn't setting off any danger signals, even instinctual ones.

As he continued to run, not as fast as before Prion could already feel a bruise forming where he hit the tree. That was definitely going to hurt come morning, in fact it already hurt a bit now. He watched Anna tumble to the ground laughing as she reached a good spread of food, well food to a normal wolf. Boy she certainly was happy to be home. Home...it wasn't a word Prion used or thought of often. His old home had been eaten away and now he didn't really have a place to call home, except for whatever forest he happened to be in at the time. Forests which were full of trees, and trees hurt he reminded himself. Hopefully the wolves that look like trees that Anna had mentioned earlier wouldn't be as painful to run into.
Coming to a stop a few feet away from Anna he looked down at the laughing female and then at the pile of carcasses. Nothing really seemed appealing to him, but he would eat if he had to. "Uh..." He went to say something and then his mind when blank for a moment. Eyes ticked to Anna, then to the food, then back to Anna. "Ladies first." Maybe she would pick something that would actually taste good to him and make eating this meat a bit more appealing to his stomach.

"D'aww~" Puppy was a gentleman too! Gentle...wolf? Gentle...male? Or maybe just gentle? Mmmmmnah. He didn't exude the thing for "gentle". Or maybe he did? How adorable if so! She wondered if she could ask the alphas to let Prion stay. She could easily take care of him, let him learn along with her so neither of them looked like horrible novices (at least not alone), let him sleep in her den if they had no others, feed him, make sure he looked presentable - oh, everything! She'd do everything for that wag of a tail.
Speaking of, there went hers. She rolled back onto her stomach with a grunt and nosed through her choices, sliding out a squirrel. "Thish looksh gewd!" Annabell announced, pinning it down with a paw before going to tear off its tail. Not the most appetizing part of the body, and she hated having it get pushed up her nose or into her eyes. Once torn (she even winced a bit with the sound), she gave Prion the nod to go ahead with his own selection.
"Dig in, cutie, you've earned it~" she told him with a wink, and then ravenously went at her own squirrel. Good ears could hear the contented sounds of her hums between gulps, the sign of a good day indeed.

Prion watched as Anna made her selection from the various carcasses. He had never tried to eat a squirrel and wasn't about to do so today, way too much bushy fur to deal with. His eyes moved to the pile as Anna indicated it was his turn to pick. Nothing here was what he truly wanted, but perhaps if he imagined whatever he chose as being a wolf it would taste better. He walked over the the pile and after a few moment chose a plump rabbit.
Laying down beside Anna he glanced over at her, noting how much she was enjoying the squirrel. He let out a soft sigh before turning back to his meal. He could do this, he could eat the entire thing without cringing at the horrible taste. Taking his first tentative bite of the rabbit Prion just kept telling himself that it was a wolf, a very small wolf with extremely long ears. It was mostly working and allowed him to eat with little fuss, and maybe this would make Anna happy so that she didn't make him eat anything else for the time being. He look back up at her for a moment when he was half done, smiling at his new friend, then returned to his meal. One step at a time, he could do it all one step at a time.
