"Nothing wrong with that." Xavier just laughed it off. If it's not broken, why fix it ? Really. "I can't even remember what a mitosis is. Feels like forever and a day since I've been sitting in Bio." He had actually liked Bio, he'd just... never been really good at it. Poor Doc Wes. Xavier Taylor Avery had been a lost cause that had only passed though sheer dedication of not doubling.
Mostly because Tallulah would never have let him live him down.

All of Tallulah's hard work had been for naught, then: despite being a grade behind him, her tutoring had been one of the only reasons Xavier had passed bio. "Cell division," she sighed. "A cell splits into two identical daughter cells - chromosomes doubling and things like that."
She was now investigating the bookshelf, leafing through paperbacks, music magazines, and video game cases.
"Oh, my god," said Tallulah. She spun around, clutching an old nintendo cartridge to her chest. "You still have this?" she demanded. "You still have Super Mario 64?"
If he'd brought his N64 games with him, the N64 itself had to be somewhere in the apartment. Tallulah didn't play many video games now, but exceptions were made for Xavier and for classics and especially for classics with Xavier. "Drop everything, we're playing this," she informed him.

"Ah, right, right-" Bio was so damn complicated. Why did it have to be so complicated ? He really wanted all those sleepless nights back.
And then Tallulah had found... it. Xavier grinned. "Have you ever seen me get rid of anything that's not trash in my life ?" Case and point. Case and point.
"The console should be in that box in the closet..."

Tallulah handed the cartridge reverently to Xavier and headed for the closet. The N64 was, as promised, in a box: its original box. How many people saved the original boxes their video game consoles came in? Especially if they'd bought the thing in 1996?
"You are such a pack rat," she sighed appreciatively as she picked it up and headed for the living room. "Help me hook it up! I direly need to rescue a princess in a poofy pink dress!"

"You say that like it's a bad thing." Xavier laughed, opening the box with obvious care. The box wasn't even all that beaten the hell up, either !
"Hang on to your overalls, im coming~"
It was really, really good to have his 'little sister' back.
