A grin showed under a hooded young man in the crowd. Abel entered with the others and took his place in blending with the rest of the citizens. His sword was wrapped to hide it from possibly being recognized. Watching the whipping was hard, but he suffered through it. He gained more respect for Rath after seeing him get back up. When the fire was lit, Abel grew nervous, but was relieved when the binds were cut and Rath was rescued. The plan was in effect!
It didn't take long for the soldiers to react. As one came rushing through the crowd, Abel ran at him, slammed his arm into the soldier's gut, then grabbed and flipped him onto his back. Abel drew his sword and then removed his cloak from both sleeves and pulled it from his back, before tossing it aside. "Alright! Here we go!!" Abel swung his sword around, flinging a pair of guards back onto their rumps. "Ha ha! Don't think so! We won't let you have him!" As another soldier approached, Abel met with lance with his blade and smirked. He could fight them all day!

I fight for honor, for justice, for chivalry! That will always be my only reason...~x -{Leon}- x~Justice's Crusader Using his own sword, Leon was quick to clash blades with Isadora as she came forward. "Ya think our objective's violence!? We're here to save Cap'n Rath! I can see now that's not somethin' yer capable of doin'!" He clashed a few more times, before leading the battle away from Rahkain, Tristai, Rath, and Victoria by forcing his sword a little bit more forward. The anger in his eyes was something that no one, not even those who knew the former Lieutenant best, had ever seen in him before. He hated those whom were oath breakers!
A few more clashes. "Did ya think that it was good to go an' let Rogvold make a mockery of Learania in the middle of a war, to let 'im execute an innocent man?! Ya think lettin' yer leader die would solve everythin'!? I cannot believe yer the same person!" Shouted the Great Knight, his swings getting more intense with his own anger. He did not understand. He would not understand. Why would Lady Isadora, who always told him to be a defender of people, let her friend, her fellow crew member, her CAPTAIN, on the chopping block? It would be like him letting Dan on the execution pyre. Never, never would he allow it.☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆ The defeated can rise again... and fight for what is right!

Volke had been hiding in the crowd, waiting for the perfect moment to kill Raetia; the assassin couldn't have asked for a better distraction since the Resistance had come to save Rath. The idiotic lord sent all but two of his guards to fight while he ran. Volke followed slowly and silently, careful to wait a little before engaging the noble.
A few minutes after the noble left, the killer-for-hire called out to his former employer, "Lord Raetia! Wait up!" Raetia called his guards to a halt and turned towards his future killer. "Oh, Volke," the lord started as Volke released his wrist-blades and dispatched the two guards. "Lorde Raetia, I just wanted to inform you that I have a new employer: Rogvald pays better. Oh, and he wants you dead!"

"Wha..." Isadora said before raising her sword to parry against Leon's attacks. She continued to parry and block with her shield as Leon continued his fight, backing her away from the group. Once they were away from the group, Isadora lowered her shield a bit.
"Seeing your objectives as violence? If attacking while there are innocent people among us is violence, then yes! Not to mention reckless too! And for your information, you have no idea how badly I wanted to save Rath!"
She quickly raised her shield to block Leon's attack and swung her sword to parry Leon's blade. She could see the anger in his eyes as they continued their little "dance." Why was he angry at her? Was it because she was unable to save Rath while they do?
Suddenly, she heard Leon shouting at her. She felt a ping of regret and shame in her heart. What Leon said was true. She hadn't done anything to help both sides ever since Rath was arrested. However, Leon didn't know her position and conflict as much as she did. Did he not know that if she were to give up the position of the guild, Rogvald would take over it? Did he not know that if she were to go against Rath's wishes, it would mean nothing of what Rath was doing? How dared that Leon thought that she was a different person. This angered the paladin quite well.
"You don't know nothing of my dilemma!" Isadora shouted back as she swung her blade against Leon. This time, it was her turn to turn the table around as she let out few more clashes to him. "No! I don't think it's a very good idea of what Rogvald has done while we're in the middle of the war! But if I were to give up the position as captain of the guild, Rogvald would take control of it and use the guild to his advantage! To what evidence do I have to prove of Rath's innocence when we have no proof of what happened to Nino? Even when my heart tells me that Rath didn't kill her, Rath never said anything about Nino! If Rath has said what had happened to Nino, none of this would have happened! But no! Instead, he keeps his silence to himself, taking that very information that would have saved him to the grave, and tell us to be aware of what we represent! Not to mention, he accepted his punishment, meaning his death. Do you wish me to go against his wish?! If I go against Rath's wish, then his reason to die is all for naught!"
She had to admit that Leon was good at handling the sword. She taught him quite well. However, he still have few more to learn if he were to master the art of swordsmanship. Isadora swung her blade quicker and faster while used all her strength to block Leon's swings. If only Leon had understand what she had went through. To protect the guild, the people, and to abide Rath's wishes. As she let out a swing, a single tear rolled down her cheek.
"If you think what I've done so far is wrong! If you think I have no heart like that old git Rogvald is, then kill me if you must!" Isadora shouted as she swung her blade.
If Leon thought that the paladin was wrong and slain her, then she would accept her wrongfulness and death. She would rather die for what she had thought was right than to continue living in lies and corrupted conceptions.

Rahkain watched as Leon took on the woman knight. He had never seen him so angry, but he hadn't known him that long either. It was a grim realization that that woman was his fight and the young man should stay out of it. Leon led the woman away from them.
He made a promise to himself to protect the Nomad and the cleric for Leon. He stepped closer to them. "Rotfold isn't going to get ahold of you while I'm here, that's for sure..." He said to the two.
He was worried about Leon, but he had to get his head in the game.

"Lord Raetia, run for--!! Grrrkk...!"
The guard didn't even need to give the warning. As both guards fell, Lord Raetia was already fleeing for his life. "No! Nooo! Help me!" he screamed as he ran down the street, sprinting to make it to the sanctum that was the castle up ahead. Sadly for him, all the soldiers were engaged back at the town square.
One of his guards flung a knife at Volke before his conscious left him, trying to do whatever he could to save his lord. It would buy a few seconds at least. While running, Lord Raetia pulled a hand into his coat and grabbed something tightly. Lord Arajudia was a master swordsman, Lord Eyris was adept in the holy arts and Lord Zeon was a magical mastermind. Lord Raetia was only good at acting behind the scenes with his shadowy network. But, he was not defenseless...

So, today was the day of the execution. The information the wyvern rider from the previous night was extremely useful, and with that, the Resistance was able to sneak into the castle. There were people already positioned at the posts they were assigned, like Elly to stir up some panic, Joshua where ever he was supposed to be, and Victoria closer to the stage. The rest was around somewhere in various points of the crowd. The young lord himself was within the crowd, but more towards the back. He tugged the hood a little lower to hide his red hair and his appearance. My, how worn out Rath looked as he stepped up onto the stage and received his whippings. If he recalled from his studies, the public display of torture should have been made illegal when Nino took over. Did James... or rather Rogvald, get it reinstated with their position? Those dastards... His eyes flicked towards the area where the nobility sat. Quite a few people were missing... only House Raetia and Zeon were present. Was Rogvald's scheming targeting the lives of these nobles? Out of the trio, Raetia seemed a little too excited for this, whereas Zeon showed little expression about the execution. The nomad was soon tied up to a pole and a torch was lit, intending on reducing the former captain to nothing more than ashes and a charred body. The young lord held his breath, waiting for the start. An arrow whizzed by, then another, then another. And there was the panic. He drew his blade just enough from within his cloak to be seen, and the glistening of iron in the sunlight was enough to have the crowd part away from him, giving him a clear path, or as clear as one could have gotten with a massive panic. As he moved towards Victoria to provide some support, several others made their move. Abel was fighting some guards, while Tristai and Joshua made their move to protect the healer. Elly was providing some backup for them. Leon and someone he didn't recognize went to confront Isadora. Sue should be arriving soon to get Rath out of here. The young lord's blade moved only when it was needed, and that in itself wasn't much. The guards were, quite sadly, not a bunch he could use for training. One charged for the young lord, lance in hand. However, he sheathed the iron sword as he stepped to the side, leaving his foot out to trip the guard. The moment the guard stumbled, his hand slid down the sheath as he turned, pulling the sheath and blade out from within the cloak and slamming the hilt end of the weapon into the guard's gut. Armor, chainmail, or neither, the blunt blow should have done some damage. He then spun around the guard before continuing on his path towards Victoria. Another guard got in his way. Roy pulled the sword from the sheath as he continued running, then as he got close, jumped with a bit of a spin like he had seen numerous brigands do. With the momentum, the blade cut through the guard as if he were nothing more than paper. "Too easy..." he said. Once the guard was out of the way, Roy continued on towards Victoria and Rath. ((Edit: By the way, the second guard is not dead. Just really, really injured.))

The dying guard's knife never reached Volke, for the assassin ran too fast. "Not so fast, my lord. You seem to have forgotten something!" he yelled as he threw a bolas at the cowardly lord. (Mind blanked while writing this.. >>)

xxxxx"Well maybe I'm weak... xxxxxxxand maybe I really am useless..." "But I will still fight on just the same!" xxxxx "Maybe one day I will no longer be invisible..."
"I can do this... I can do this..." Mihira kept repeating that to herself quietly as she waited. She was nervous and scared. She worried that she would possibly mess up and ruin everything.
"Hey." Came a voice by Mihira. The girl looked up at Zeiss. "Calm down. You'll be fine. I won't let anything happen. Promise."
Mihira smiled and took a deep breath. She knew he was right. Thank goodness he was there with her. Before she knew it, the resistance's plan was in action. The captain had been saved and it was time for everyone else to get to work! It was easy for Mihira and Zeiss to blend in. They had the same basic armor that every other soldier had, and had pilfered some helmets to hide their faces. Imagine the other soldiers' reactions, when two of their own started fighting against them.
The two riders threw off their helmets and began to fend off the soldiers. It was the least they could do. But they would need help. Zeiss was sure that Gale was somewhere close by. Mihira couldn't help but wonder where Sir Heath had gone... W y v e r n S c o u t M i h i r a* xxxxx"If you're worried about surviving, xxxxxxxyou can worry about it after you're dead!" "The wyvern riders of Bern sit atop the heap of all other forces on the continent!" xxxxx "You will see our power soon!"
Vaida smirked when the resistance went into action. Her information about the gate was passed on and they chose to use it. In reality, Vaida had been placed in charge of that gate. She must have just 'forgotten' to fortify it.
Then the order came from Rogvald to kill them all. Vaida unsheathed her sword and scowled at the crowd. She was fed up with being a pawn. Mihira had the courage to defect and with the nomad rescued, she figured it was the best time to make her move, as well. She turned to her soldiers and spoke lowly. "I know many of you don't want to. I won't order you to. But I also... don't have the authority to give orders anymore." She grinned as she turned away.
Vaida held out her sword and stood still for a few seconds. "Oh, I'll attack..." Then, without warning, Vaida ran at Valter and slashed at his side. "I'll attack the b*****d who stole my spear!!"

I've been blessed with the gifts of the gifts of the Lady Saint, so show me some respect! It's not every day you find a rarity like me.₪Victoria₪ The holy bishop kept her staff healing, as the others were doing a marvelous job in covering her. From the valiant Great Knight who went off to clash with the lady paladin, to a Hero and a Ranger who sought to lend their weapons to a noble cause, there seemed to be more than enough brave warriors on the field today. By the sounds of the guards falling behind her, Victoria could only guess that there was even more Resistance fighters coming to Rath's aid. She wanted to smile, but now wasn't the time.
Now was still the time to stay as calm, as any healer should. Her being excited in any way could make her patient excited, and that was not something Rath needed with all those wounds. In the time she was covered, Victoria had stopped the bleeding with her heal staff, bandaging the nomad's back and chest as best she could before cradling the man in her arms. She could not carry him, not very long, if the guards continued to advance the way they were. "We need to move! Keep covering us, you're doing great!" Victoria said, encouraging her friend Tristai, as well as a few other fighters she did not recognize whom had raised their blades bravely to help their Captain.
Rath's weight was heavy though. Either the man was unconscious, or simply so out of it that he could not comprehend all the chaos which was happening. Either way, he couldn't walk on his own. Victoria would need a rider, one that was swift and with a good grip, if she was to get him out of here. For now though, she did the best that anyone on foot could do, moving slowly away from the directions of the fighting. Hopefully there was at least someone who could spare a horse, and others who'd make sure the Soldier's Passage stayed open for them.ΘжElmine's LightжΘ If you are my ally, fear not, for healing is on your way! If you're my enemy, you'll be purged, and dead you shall stay.

O Father Sky, Mother Earth... I pray that you give me strength. ↣ ↣ ↣ Sue ↣ ↣ ↣ After the message had spread and the others had gone ahead, Sue was not that far behind them. Her eyes saw many sights. Her father, her proud father, was whipped as if he were a slave! She wanted so badly to act then, to go up to where he was and stop it, but she resisted. ”No, not yet… I cannot help him yet.” She had to keep telling herself that. To act too soon would be to condemn him. Sue clenched a fist when the fire was lit. She flinched when the arrows begun to scatter, courtesy of Elly.
But she found a smile, when Rath was freed, cut down and warped by a bishop’s light to a place where he’d both be safe and healed. They’d all come through, and now her father would be safe, thanks to the Resistance’s combined efforts! Now, she could act. Seeing Vaida charge Valter, Leon clashing with Acting Captain Isadora, and General Roy joining the fray, Sue rode onward, an iron sword only drawn to deflect arrows or fend off foes. Always, she’d rode and fought for a cause. Now, more than any other, was the most important ride of her life. ”Father, I’m coming!!!” He had asked her not to come, but… if she did, not to look away. From the sight she saw, her only family member wounded and worn, she did not look away.
Instead, she came to him quickly. Even when her horse stopped and she dismounted, Sue ran to Rath’s side, taking him from Victoria’s grasp and holding him as tightly as she could without bringing her father further harm. He was alive. To her, that’s all that mattered. Her father was alive, and now it was time for her to escape with him. Carefully, she got onto her horse again, holding Rath close to her. ”Father… do forgive my own foolishness… but I had to come. I had to rescue you. And now… I will never let go. We will escape, and re-take Learania together.” She whispered, whipping Andre into a direction towards the Soldier’s passage. ”Valiant guild members… cover us. You have done so well already in making sure he is here for me to carry alive. And… lady bishop… I give you thanks from the bottom of my heart.” Sue nodded, smiling. That was a signal, more than anything, for those who were defenders to keep defending. ”And no matter what happens, Father, I will protect you.”<=|Nomad Trooper|==0 The path ahead shall not be easy, but I must proceed!

Kiote Deliven & Grave Yuion Unlike the other Resistance members, Kiote had no attachment to the man who stood on the platform preparing to be executed for whatever reason. He didn't have a problem not moving to assist the man, in fact it was easier to Kiote to not move rather than move to help the man. Kiote knew as soon as the fighting began, they might all be signing for their deaths... for one mans life. So what was the sense in Kiote even being there if that was his point of view? The laguz standing behind Kiote was the reason. Grave understood much more of what was happening than Kiote did, and as long as Grave was serious about helping Kiote would follow the laguz's lead. It wasn't hard for Kiote to trust Grave's judgment after all.
Kiote glanced back at Grave who was looking down, using the hood of the cloak he wore to hide his ears. Grave seemed tense, for obvious reasons, but Kiote didn't have much more time for thought as the sound of the whip was left silent. Kiote turned back forward as they lit the wood surrounding Rath, and then... chaos.
Arrows flew from somewhere, Kiote believed it to be Elly the female he had seen using a bow in the failed raid attempt to save Rath. It was time to move then. "Time to go, Grave." Kiote mumbled as he slowly pulled his bow from his back as Grave moved to be in front of him. "I'll provide support, just help them clear a path. I'll be fine on my own at least for a while." Kiote said quickly to the wolf, knowing full well Grave would be worried for the ranger's safety. Kiote trusted himself enough to be able to stay safe for a while though. Grave nodded before pulling off the cloak as he started forward.
With Grave moving away, Kiote pulled himself up onto the stall he had chosen to stand next to as he pulled forth his bow. Grave was moving away quickly through the crowd, but the guards who had noticed Grave moving where going to be a problem. Kiote aimed quickly, only pausing his shot so that he could have clear one, before loosing the arrow. The arrow found it's mark, the guard letting out a cry of surprise without Grave even paying the man a second of interest. Kiote picked out his second target quickly as he readied his bow to fire again, letting the arrow fly only a moment later. The arrows slammed into the guards exposed back shoulder causing him to to stop. "Tsk, need to work on my aim." Kiote mumbled, fully aware that he wasn't aiming to kill in the first place. It was just the sound of his voice was helping to keep him calm as he took aim again. He was working to cover for Grave, giving the laguz time to move towards the healer, Rath, and the others that where moving towards them. Luckily, by this point Rath was being rode away on a horse. At least that would pick things up a bit.
Grave barely even noticed the guards who had started to follow him as he moved quickly through the open. He could see Rath's daughter, Sue, moving to help him which was a good sign for Rath. The telltale sound of Kiote's arrows hitting the two guards reminded Grave he needed to stay focused though. 'I'm still injured slightly, but I only need to cover for them for a little while. I think I can do that.' Grave thought grimly as he transformed into his wolf form, taking off at cloe to a sprint at the nearest guard who had chose to attempt to chase after Sue and Rath. Without a second of hesitation, Grave lunged and struck the guard to the ground, Grave's death claiming the guards use of his right arm, the arm the guard had been holding his sword it. So it wasn't a fatal wound, but the pain would be enough to incapacitate the guard for a good stretch of time. With that task complete, the black furred wolf jumped off the guard and quickly moved on, careful to keep track of the young man he remembered to be named Roy. They where moving towards a similar point, somewhat, and so long as they where relatively close Grave planned to support the sword user as best he could.

It has begun. Everyone in the resistance sprang into action. Fighting between the resistance and the soldiers had broke out in the midst of the civilians. They would need to get away from this whole mess. A blue haired boy covering his body with a cloak tried to calm down the civilians and told them to quickly rush away from the scene. Hopefully they would actually listen to him and get away from the battle as soon as possible. "Hurry This way!" Oujay yelled as he pointed towards the gates. This was quite the mess.
The swordsman turned his head to see Rath was in custody of the resistance members. This was a good sign. Roy and some other people he did not recognize were already protecting them from the soldiers's attacks. It seemed as they were still following Rogvald's bidding. However, them alone would not be able to hld off all the guards. Oujay looked back at the civilians and hoped they would be able to get out of here safely and ran towards the others that needed defending.
One of the guards had gotten past some of the members and charged at Sue, who was holding Rath at the moment. Oujay leaped into the air. As the soldier swung at Sue, Oujay landed in between and parried the soldier's weapon with a new acquired shield, he had been hiding within his cloak. "I'm sorry, I can't let you hurt them," he said to the guard as he pushed the guard back with his shield.
While the guard stumbled backwards a little bit, Oujay removed his cloak, allowing easier movement. The blue haired swordsman was now wearing new armor. "I got you covered Sue," Oujay said towards the nomad as he drew his sword sheathed behind his shield. The hero charged at the soldier and struck the soldier in the neck with the hilt of his sword. The solider fell to the ground unconscious.Special music link as Sue gave the idea. And woot the invisible merc is now an invisible hero

I fight for honor, for justice, for chivalry! That will always be my only reason...~x -{Leon}- x~Justice's Crusader For the first time since he heard she was working under Rogvold, Leon at last got something from Isadora, as he clashed against his blade, now forcing him and Anri back a ways. Tears. Feelings. Regrets. Sorrow. They were all emotions that Lady Isadora had endured for so long, and at last was showing them to someone who had the same sentiments as her. They were both knights. They were both fighting for what they believed was right, in their eyes. "Ya... had to keep his hands offa the guild ya say. That... I can understand."
His mood, as well as his swings slowed down in ferocity, partially to be more mindful of his surroundings, and more so because Leon himself had calmed considerably. He knew Isadora's reason, and yet... he could not fail his duty. Leon shut his eyes in regret, for just a brief moment. "Milady, believe me when I say... we tried all we could to getta solution that wasn't gonna bring this kinda panic. When there ain't evidence of Rath bein' a guilty man, he's innocent. 'Cuz of that, I couldn't let 'im die." Now, his tone, as well as the clashes of the battle seemed more solemn. They were no longer driven by the righteous fury of a man whom was striking against a traitor. It was more of the sorrow and regret... that he had to clash with a friend in order to protect a leader.
"I'm not gonna strike ya down for doin' what was right, in yer own way. ... and you call me reckless." The Great Knight spoke, rather calmly as he gave her a small smirk, one that would hide the remorse within him just enough to fool an onlooker. "But I also won't surrender. Ya understand, right?" Another clash was heard, but this time, the crusader for Learania's justice was not happy nor excited at all.

A young woman ran as fast as her legs would carry her through the streets of a town she knew well. The sounds of battle echoed in her ears, but the sounds of her friend’s voices rung in her mind. The citizens she blurred past barely recognized her. There were some terrified souls running and screaming in the opposite direction.
Somehow, on her mind there was one thing and a million things all at once. Her guilt, her own selfishness, the pain she had caused, and her hope that she could fix what she had done. Silently, she begged the goddess that she would not be too late. She looked briefly at a little red haired girl who was flying next to her, then back ahead.
She would not tire, she would not stop... It wouldn’t be much longer. She was nearly to the town square, which is where she was sure she would find… Rath.
When Fefga pulled her back, she told her that Rath was in trouble. They thought he had killed her. Eyris was falling apart because of her. The little girl had explained how a descendant of Leander had taken the throne and was being controlled by his advisor.
As the young woman rounded the corner, the town square came into view. There, she did stop for a moment, watching. All her pain came to a point. “Eyris… what have I done? Rath...” She held tightly onto the staff in her hands. Sophos seemed to have become heavier with her guilt. Right now, she had a job to do. For now, she had to concentrate on fixing things… She had to find the king and talk to him.
Nino shut her eyes to force the tears back and began to run toward the battle. “Stop!” she screamed. She couldn’t suppress it any longer… “Stop please!!” As she opened her eyes to squint ahead of her, she spotted the young king whom Fefga had described to her earlier. She took off towards him, pushing past stunned guards and soldiers. “Please! Wait! Stop this!!” She called as she got closer to the king.
