"Um..." Tay tried and failed to stifle another yawn. "We could just walk around a bit?"
Walking around was something active, and if she was moving, she couldn't fall asleep. No one fell asleep when they were were walking. She was having too much fun to sleep. If she slept now, she'd just be asleep, which usually came with really wonderful dreams, but wasn't nearly as wonderful as playing with her new friend.
"But...you look tired. Are you tired?" Because she was tired, even if she didn't want to admit it. It would be okay to admit it, though, if Msrah was tired, because otherwise she'd be selfish in making him do stuff with her when he wanted to sleep.
A part of her kind of hoped he'd say yes. Then they could nap together, combining two great things: napping, and spending time with friends. Tay would have suggested it, but only if she knew for certain that Msrah was tired, and not just yawning to be nice. As the though occurred to her, she yawned again, this time so widely that her ears popped.

"No," he said quickly, but then wondered if Tay had asked because she was tired, "I don't know. Maybe a little bit? Very tiny bit. I don't like it when they say 'naptime' and 'stop playing'..."
It was hard to tell from in here, but it was probably past naptime. Msrah rubbed one eye with his paw. He must have managed to get sand in it or something. Couldn't be because he was tired. Nuh-huh! He prodded the skull, wondering if another drum solo would make him not-tired again. Not that he was tired. Um...

"Oh," Tay said, a little disappointed. She didn't want it to be time to stop playing and nap either, but she was really tired.
"I don't like having to stop playing either," she said, stifling another yawn. "But...I'm kind of tired, I think, and I don't want to hurt your feelings when I yawn and stuff. It's not 'cause I'm not having lots of fun. I think I might be having too much fun, and it's making me tired."
She hoped he would understand what she meant by that. It was a little silly and embarrassing that she was so tired when he wasn't - or claimed not to be, at any rate. But Tay was a very honest little cub, and felt obliged to warm Msrah that she was tired, and not bored.
"Do you think it would be okay if maybe I went home to take a nap? We could play some more later, when I'm less sleepy. I could bring some of my siblings, too. They're really fun and nice. I think you'd like them."

"Yeah," Msrah said and nodded vigorously, fully understanding the problem of having so much fun it ended up making her tired, "I get tired from playing ALL the time."
The last time he wanted to do was keep her playing when she wanted a nap, and after having so much fun with Tay he wasn't too keen on playing alone. The skull was fun, but there was no way he'd be able to keep going and avoid the sleepy feeling if he was playing on his own. Perhaps he could go back too and take a nap just to be nice. Not because he was tired, because he wasn't. At all. Nope. Invisible evil guys must just have kicked sand in his eyes. It was strange, because that only happened when he had too much fun to have the time to be tired...
"Oh," he said, getting the best idea, "I can follow you back, and then I know where you live, and then after we've napped I can meet your siblings!"

Tay smiled, and even though she was tired it had the full strength of her sunny personality behind it.
"That would be lovely, Msrah," she said truthfully. "Thank you for being so understanding."
Then she turned, looking over her shoulder to make sure he was following, and set off for home.
