Tokemaru was exceedingly lucky when James stabbed him, he was bleeding, he would mist likely die if he didn't receive help, but the blade had generally missed everything important. Tokemaru coughed up a mouth full of blood but he still managed to stand.

"Is that all you've got? I'm not dead yet..."

As the warriors fought in the dark and chaos of seireitei, a sudden horn went off, almost like a calling as then the locations that the traitor shinigami, and arrancar wouldn't go near, got further away from. Some of even the higher leveled shinigami and arrancar quickly moved away in fear, and all of a sudden, darkness happened. It looked as if all people were watching waiting, and then suddenly massive amounts of the enemies began to fly upward towards the Garganta.

A male shinigami shunpoed ontop of a building, slashing the throat of a traitor, probably someone he once held dear, and couldn't believe the pain, and wouldn't watch fall further into darkness. Just then the Shinigami turned, and looked out as he held his hands to his mouth, standing ontop of one of the many buildings in which the traitors, and arrancar wouldn't go near.
Of course he was excited, he believed they had the enemies on the run, and who wouldn't. There were still a few traitors, and arrancar on the ground fighting, but the numbers were far to small to even hope to win. So with a deep breath, the man smiled ready to declare.
"We have them on the run, there is nothing more they can do to Seireitei!"
The shinigami male yelled out as many more all held their zanpakuto in the air, yelling in glee for their victory. A few killing the traitors during their early victory screams. Then all of a sudden, a massive amount of reiatsu began to explode in the distance as a powerful red beam shot into the air from the squad 11 location, followed by words in which would be seen as helpful.
"Bankai."
However when this was said it didn't give a hopefully feeling, but much rather a more fearful one through the land as the red beam of reiatsu grew thicker in the air. With a sudden massive increase of the reiatsu again, it was clear that the man had placed his mask on. Normally people find this act as his final move of power, but now, it wasn't, a mix of black reiatsu shot up into the beam of his red and terrible one, increasing it to a level never seen before by the shinigami, he unlocked his squad ability for the first time.
"Head Captain?"
The shinigami questioned in fear as he took a step back, only to feel the reiatsu fill the land from many locations, including right above him. When he looked up, he saw a massive worm hole right above him, and above many other spots in seireitei, but strangely none above squads directly.
Within a moment of time many shinigami eyes became widened as a massive power began to build as right then in thirteen locations over Seireitei, black cero's filled the land, one of which completely destroyed the shinigami ontop of one of the many locations in Seireitei, now completely destroyed. The shear chaos was something only which the wrath of god could be viewed as, fire filled the land as bits of destroyed locations flew everywhere from the power of the black cero's from the head captain. Many shinigami were far to close to the explosion, getting few killed, and much more injured.
With a sudden look in the sky, after the worm holes all vanished, a being in red armor, dragon mask, and a powerful glowing red and black reiatsu was in the sky, walking into the garganta, not even looking back for a moment...

Tokemaru was well aware of the fact that the bleeding in his chest only got worse as he spun his body around to dodge James' sheath attack and blocked the slash that was aimed at his face with his shield. Tokemaru pushed James away from him and inspected his injury, it was bleeding pretty badly. If he was to activate his Bankai, the exoskeletal armor would cover the wound and stop the bleeding, then he'd be alright. As James used his technique to make a bone spike to impale Tokemaru, the young captain activated the guard ability in his zanpakuto. The spike struck the shield and pushed him back a meter before he was able to stop himself. Now it had become a contest as to what would break first; James's bone spike or Tokemaru's enhanced shield.

Tokemaru was angry that his opponent was staring to retreat and chased after him.

"Come back here you coward!" Tokemaru shouted after him. However, he was unable to stop James from escaping through the garaganta.

"Damn it!" Tokemaru cursed loudly.
