Dear Mr Grand Great Pumpkin. Sir.

First off, let me apologize for last year after Halloween. I did not mean to offend, upset, scare off or cause undue amounts of psychiatric pain. You see, the thing is, shortly after your Grand Exit at the end of Halloween, a holiday called "Thanksgiving" happens. And everyone expects a certain... albeit rather tasty, dish called "Pumpkin Pie", along with the typical pumpkin muffins, pumpkin bread, and the age old favorite.... Stuffed Pumpkin.

I begged and pleaded, really I did, for them to leave your brethren alone. Store bought is better than home-made, I cried. But they just wouldn't listen. Shamefully, I had to give in and make what they wanted, but I swear! I did it under duress!

Providing you'll forgive me for last year, and perhaps the many years before when I was too young to realize what they were doing.... I would very much like to make a small request, if I may. I would really enjoy the company of a werewolf. A snuggly, natural furred werewolf. Someone to curl up by the fire with, and who'll also enjoy scaring the PANTS off of those who participate in the pumpkin genocide during thanksgiving! It's a lot to ask, but honestly Grand Great Pumpkin sir, I promise to be a better girl this year!

PS: Just to make sure there is no chance of being forced into .... *gulp* making Stuffed Pumpkin, all the pumpkins on my porch are fake. I'm doing my part to make the world a friendlier place for you and your siblings, Grand Pumpkin!

Dear Great Pumpkin,

For Halloween I'll be answering the door for trick-or-treaters (as usual) and sometimes I think they just don't see me, no matter what I wear, it's like I'm invisible! As you can imagine, it doesn't make me a very happy spirit.

Normally I'd wear black and maybe some ears and a tail, but this year I think I'll just wear my favorite green..or some grey. I should probably see if I can find or make a shirt with a nice scale pattern on it, similar to my "mosaic" eagle shirt in gold on black.

It'd be nice to get a friend with similar interests for the season, as I don't have any yet.

Dear Great Pumkin,

I am hoping to have a special halloween this year, going all out as much as I can. You see I am taking my 9 month old son out for his first halloween and I am going to make it a big deal. We love this special holiday, being vampires you see. We are pretending to be normal and dress up like everyone else. Crazy idea I know. And my son, well he decided he wanted to be a lion this year. So cute and unsuspecting..

Being so small however I am hoping to find him a companion to watch over him. Nothing gory.. I plan to save his costume for any spawn later on. If it's too dark he might not keep interest and crawl away from the companion. This will be our first addition to go with our first son. I'm sure everyone will love our real haunted house full of changing rooms, moving furniture and a real ghost or two.

I must depart, you know how some of us are not so prone to sunlight and my son has awaken from his nap too early. We can't wait for our favorite time of year to get here!

Dear Master Great Pumpkin,

I have not had the best year, school has been harder and just a couple weeks ago, my boyfriend of several years and I broke up (I found out he found someone else and did not even have the decency to tell me about her before marrying the wench). I hope this All Hallow's Eve will be the beginning of a new start for me and my life and I oh so hope that you will be able to help. I have always loved Halloween, when I was younger I loved it because I got to dress up and get lots of candy, now I love it because of all the fun...but the candy is great too. Seeing the kids come by in different costumes is entertaining, it reminds me of when life was easier and simpler...not to mention safer. Growing up, I liked to dress up as different things each year, one year I was a kitty witch, that was when I was about 10 or 11. When I was much younger, I dressed up as the Cookie Monster and as a skeleton. More recently though, I have dressed up as a wolf wizard/druid, which was a costume of my own creation, but I did have some help from a friend...although no one really got it. I've dressed up as a fairy and as a pirate wench...I always try to be as original as possible but at a certain point, I end up falling back on something for lack of materials. Now though, I am a little bit to old to go Trick-or-Treating, but if I could go, I would love to go and dress up as my furry/werewolf alter ego, as werewolves have become my favorite 'Halloween' type creature, to me, werewolves rule and vampires drool. I hope that this Halloween, werewolves will finally dominate over the bloodsucking leeches that continually dominate my kind's rightful place at the top of the proverbial heap.

A lonely love life however is not just restricted to myself, my werewolf wish Mystic has become quite lonely over the past year, and has even stopped 'bossing' around Ecto and Nimbus, my Ghost and Zombie wishes. She is no longer acting like the Alpha female she is supposed to be. So, most magnificent Great Pumpkin, my wish from you this year is that Mystic could recieve a mate, someone who is...bold, handsome, and charming...who possesses just as much...outward beauty as she does, but perhaps in a different color scheme, maybe one that compliments her own. She has expressed a liking for the colors of blue, black, and red, so if it is possible, perhaps you could use those colors in your search if you deem my request worthy.

This is all I ask of you, most mighty of all gourds, and I dearly hope that you take a liking to Mystic and I's request. Thank you for all you do and have ever done.

Great Pumpkin,

I am being a good friend and, once again, hosting the Halloween party for my friends. This time around I will be dressing as
a zombie! The other day I received the white zombie contacts I ordered all the way from England. I may attend the local
zombie walk on the twenty-third. My only obstacle right now for the costume, is what to do for make-up and clothing. Should
I go all out and make myself look like a rotting corpse with protruding organs and bones? Or should I just put on a dress,
some minor make-up, and be a friendly - albeit creepy - zombie?

Thanos approves my costume, of course. Although he would be much happier if he had a she-zombie to dine with. The other
day I caught him shuffling toward a picture of a bloodied she-zombie, moaning longingly. He really does deserve to have a
lady friend, as I don't give him much attention.
