Chuppi blinked up at the spectacle that was Calder, his weird little motions and even the poking of his face into an exaggerated smile causing her to raise one of her small eyebrows upwards in confusion. Her lips parted a bit as she tilted her head to the side but at the very least she wasn't crying. Her eyes did remain a bit misty and she rubbed then clear, the whole time her gaze never leaving Calder, and soon a faint smile started to creep over the monster's face. It showed off her rather pointy teeth and forked tongue, but at least she was happy.
"I'm not sure if I am popular like you say, but I. . . I want to help people. Like I want to help you, not hurt you or make you upset. I will try not to cry if it makes you upset. You look better too when you are smiling."
Chuppi tapped the trips of her fingers together, the points of her nails clacking against one another as she tried to think of what else to say. She was still quite hungry, that was true, but at least now she wasn't going to cry over it and have a hard time of it. Maybe now she could actually focus and find her Thermos faster without having to force Calder into doing all of it.
"Should...should we keep looking? I think we may be close to where I need to go, and we can find what you are looking for as well?"

He smiled, glad she was at least calming down. A crying ghoul was just not something he could deal with, having never had to deal with others crying before, and he breathed out a sigh of relief. "You are a big help, Chuppi." He said, and patted her on the head before looking about. "…and we'll find that Thermos. I'm sure of it." Unless someone stole it. He hoped that wasn't the case because they could be there forever!
It was with great relief that as he was shuffling about the ground, looking high and low (more low than high) for the Thermos that he heard the unmistakable eep of one of his leeches. The one he was looking for in fact. Turning about, he looked across the hallway to spot the little creature who was sitting atop of, THANK JACK!, a thermos. It seemed the little creature had wanted to get a little sip, having been hungry and smelling blood, and was now licking the little drops that were leaking from the canister.
"Chuppi!" He called out, moving over to the Thermos. He didn’t know how many this ghoul had, but this one looked similar. He picked up the leech, plucking it and setting it on his shoulder, and turned to hold out the Thermos. "This is you Thermos, right?" Please let it me. How many students lost Thermos' of blood was beyond him.
