Jasper immediately raised the silver spiked shield in front of him and since the face hugger had launched himself forward, it would have no time to move.He turned around as oon as the bug was impaled by the spike and embraced Athena as a wind funnel began to push whatever was in front of the two of them. But due to their speed he did not know if the creature had already reached Athena, but it would only get her back and will be forced back by the wind.

As Jasper's shield rose up, the bug like creature ran into it, the spike impaling it. Its tail whipped around violently as a high pitched squealling was heard, greenish blood running down the shield. However though it died a loud hissing noise was heard as the blood ran down the shield, the shield was beginning to melt rapidly. The blood dripped down off the shield, onto the ground around Jasper's feet which began hissing as well. It would seem the blood was very acidic. The other creature was sent flying back by the wind, only to be destroyed by the energy blast. However, when it blew up its blood splattered everywhere, on trees, bushes, and some of Cherry's clothes. Though it barely hit the clothing, it started burning away like Jasper's shield, which if they didn't ditch the objects, the acid can creep onto them.
((XD I always hated these guys for that damn blood))

Jasper quickly let go of Cherry and found out that his diamond shield had been melted severely by acid. "Next time, we should just duck and let them hug each others face." Jasper ripped off the gauntlet and threw it at the mud, "Damn, there goes my shield." He looked at Cherry as she pretty much stripped down, he took off his jacket and handed it to Cherry. "Here, take it. There may be more of those things, and I don't want that acid to get on your skin."

Jasper nodded, "If there are more, at least I know about their acidic blood." As they ventured further into the swamp, the fog got thicker and it got harder to see. "I wonder what this terrible beast that we are supposed to fight? The locals are terrified."

"I agree. At least we can do some good in the world while we rank up." Jasper noticed that the more they ventured into the swamp, the harder it got for him to see. He did not know if Athena had this problem but in order for him to know what was going on, he needed to see. A Orb of light began to form in his palm, it might attract monsters, but at least he'd see them coming.

It was quiet in the forest, the mist was getting a bit too clingy to the ground as nighttime was slowly setting in. A splash in the water was heard, though whatever it was...was gone. The trees moved a bit, however no scurrying was heard this time. Once more the forest seemed to come to life, however unlike before it was more quiet. A dripping sound was heard by one of the ponds, some liquid was falling from the trees below. However it wasn't anything but water....at least so it seemed. If they were to touch it, they would notice its an odd sticky substance, whether or not it was from the fog or not was unknown. But even if they were to look up, all they would see is blackness. Cherry's senses would be going wild right now, but it would feel like its everywhere
