Istas blinked as the man ignored Yvette, "Hey she's talking to you."
Istas didn't care he was fixing to dip her cone, "It's rude to ignore someone." She might've felt bad for bothering Yvette but she wasn't about to let him get away with that.
The Man dipping the ice cream stopped and looked at Istas with a small glare before turning back to Yvette, "What?"

The man would find a red-faced girl waiting for his reply. It was one thing to get ignored. It was another to have a little girl speak up on your behalf. Her mouth moved, but her already lacking voice seemed to disappear for a moment. Fortunately, the man didn't turn away right away. So soon enough she was able to find her tiny voice.
"I... I'm sorry, b-but, I suffer from some pr-pretty bad food allergies... a-and... I was w-wondering if you had the list of ingredients for the Superman ice cream? C-cause... I wasn't sure which ice cream I w-wanted... i-if you c-could do that w-when you have time... um... Iwouldlikethat..."

The man stopped and looked at Yvette. "It's Vanilla... just with food coloring, are you allergic to food coloring or Vanilla?" He replied watching the girl as she was nervous.
Istas blinked, "Ohh..." She said softly, "I forgot to ask..." She paused and looked at the small cone the man had. "Um... Sir." She said with a pause realizing she'd meant to ask for a waffle cone, she had the money.
The man's head snapped back at Istas he still had an unhappy look for being called rude. "Heh... I meant to ask for a waffle cone..." Istas blushed, she'd been upset that she'd made Yvette mad that she forgot to ask.
At least he hadn't dipped it yet.. The man sighed as he sat the regular cone down. "This is the only size we have." He snapped waving it at her. She held up her money and looked at him as he sighed.

What an uneventful sort of ice cream. Certainly, it wouldn't cause any allergy attacks (unless it was accidentally touching the strawberry ice cream), but normally special ice creams had a slightly different flavor than simple vanilla.
Maybe all the different food coloring that went into it would make it taste drastically different Yvette mused, but highly doubted. As if she was retreating for now, she simply uttered a tiny "Kay!" before resuming her basic "standing in line" skills.

It seemed when Istas had glanced that the strawberry was on the other side of the bin, though she didn't pay much attention as she was just trying to hurry up to find a seat and not bother Yvette anymore.
She watched as the man dipped the cone, and made sure it had two scoops showing. Which was a lot larger than what the small cone was going to be. However when the man brought it over to Istas she reached out for it expectantly.
The man looked at the money sitting on the counter. He seemed to be pondering something but then handed Istas her cone with an unamused look. Apparently his day had been super long, he handed her, her change and basically shoo'd Istas away. "Thank you!"

Once the little girl had her ice cream, Yvette timidly approached the counter, eyes already drifting down to the counter top. She had already embarrassed herself once. "I would like a single scoop of cake batter in a cup please..." She probably could have gotten herself 2 or 3 scoops with the money she had, but some habits were hard to break. Her family still needed the money, so getting the 3 scoops, no matter what her mood had been lately, was pretty selfish.
For a moment, Yvette's eyes drifted to the little girl. It would be nice to not have to worry about how much ice cream cost. That was a mental sigh if the young adult had ever heard one. She then also seemed to realize one thing she had missed out on. I don't even know her name.
It wasn't like the little girl was supposed to introduce herself to the darker haired adult. It was probably the only time Yvette would see her. Really, she shouldn't have felt bad about missing out on her name. Her fingers slid her five dollar bill across the counter, waiting for her cup of ice cream and her change.

Even though Istas had her ice cream she didn't quite leave. She took up a seat at one of the tables and started licking at the ice cream happily taking a few napkins from the dispenser.
She said she'd wait for her mom there, she didn't want to walk through the mall with her ice cream and risk loosing it. She watched Yvette order, and a curious thought crossed her mind, I didn't get her name.... I wonder if she's mad at me...
Istas' butter yellow eyes held a slight twinge of concern as she watched the older dark haired adult. Torn between asking her name or seeing if Yvette would even speak to her once more before leaving with her own ice cream.

Soon enough Yvette had an ice cream scoop in a paper cup, a dollar and change, and a plastic spoon. Edging away from the counter and leaving the employee to his work, the girl approached the child for a brief second or two.
Well... it wouldn't hurt to tell her my name...
"Um... uh... my name is Yvette by the way..." Her purple eyes didn't even look up from her ice cream. She played with her spoon, digging slightly at her frozen treat, but not even taking a taste yet.

Istas watched as Yvette walked over to her she paused mid-lick when the older girl spoke. "Yvette?" Istas said a little shaky on the pronunciation.
She wrinkled her nose and tried again, "It's nice to meet you, Yvette." The name still sadly getting slightly butchered, Istas' nose wrinkled again with slight frustration, the girls name didn't want to come off her tongue quite right.
"I'm Istas." She said taking another lick before it could start melting down to her hands. "Sorry for bothering you..." She said softly as glanced at her own ice cream.

Three blinks of her eyes, and words just began to tumble out from her lips as if she had no control over them "Youhavenothingtoapologizeabout,youdidn'tdoanythingwrong..."
Pause.
"Youweren'tabotheratall."
A slightly longer pause.
"Promise!"
Figuring she had embarrassed herself plenty for one evening, Yvette finally took a tiny spoonful of ice cream and put it in her mouth, effectively preventing her mouth from saying anything else that might have been stupid. Yvette was very good at saying stupid things, she had decided this a long time ago. Ice cream, however, was one of the few foods that didn't stay long in Yvette's mouth. It melted, making it very easy for her to eat at a normal pace.

Istas was watching her ice cream for a while slowly eating it and keeping it from leaking on her creme colored outfit. When Yvette's words spilled out of her mouth Istas' eyes widened as she tried to process what was said.
She frowned as she tried to process it however when Yvette promised she giggled, "I'm not sure what all you said.... but okay~." She watched Yvette take small bites before going back to working on her own ice cream.
"It's so cold." She said when she paused in eating her ice cream, giving a giggle. She had to pause to keep from getting a headache, she'd gotten one of those before and remembered it wasn't very fun.
She was slightly keeping an eye out for her mother though, just in case she happened to see her coming. "Your hair is a pretty color, mother would like it too, she likes purple." She said softly to Yvette when she looked back at her ice cream.

This child knew how to push Yvette's buttons. It wasn't very hard to do in all honesty. Right now, Istas' tiny fingers had managed to somehow push the Make Yvette's Cheeks Rosy button, which without a doubt was causing such a reaction to occur. Even as an adult, when she got nervous, she couldn't help but speak really, really fast. It also didn't help that she was so quiet. It made it sound like she was mumbling, when she really wasn't mumbling at all.
Istas complimented Yvette, which only made the red color of her cheeks grow brighter. "Uh uh uh... th-thanks..." With all the blood flowing to her cheeks, she was starting to feel a bit dizzy. This was usually a good sign it was time to leave.
"Uh... I... I need to get going... I... I don't want to miss the bus..." Fingers unwrapped from around the cup she was holding and offered a lame wiggle of fingers that was meant to be a wave.
"...m-maybe I'll see you later, Istas..."

Istas nodded when Yvette said thanks, but her cheeks got reder. Istas watched slightly confused as to why Yvette's face would be turning so red.
Istas returned the wave, "I hope so, you're nice to talk to." Istas smiled and watched as Yvette left, Istas went back to finishing her ice cream and waiting for her mom so they could leave also.
