It didn't hit him yet...
"Yeah, cozy," he laughed trying to help her lift up the mood once more as he brushed some of the hair from her face so that he could look her in the eyes and make sure she was alright and that she wouldn't suddenly run off and commit suicide or something else that was weird and tragic, though as he went through the motion he paused.
Wait, wait, wait. Back up.
Babies. Not just Baby.
Then she said it herself asking him to keep it to himself and not tell Kay.
Twins. <******** hell.
"I...I'll try Tori. I really will." He couldn't promise one hundred percent because sometimes emotions had a way of getting the better of him and running off with him. Who knew what would happen when he finally confronted his brother. He let out a deep sigh, it should be for Tori to tell anyways so he'd try his damnedest.
"Want me to walk you home?"

"I know you'll do your best. I trust you," Tori sighed contently as Quint offered his own form of comfort. It was strange how a touch of a friend could affect you. She finally smiled after a few moments.
If it got let out that she was having twins she wouldn't be angry. She was sure that it was bound to get out one way or another before she could tell him herself. But, still she really wanted to be the one to tell him. She kinda wanted to be spiteful and just surprise him...
"My driver Murrey if having coffee down the street. If you could just walk me that far I'd be most appreciative." There really wasn't any walking to her house anymore. Despite being near the beach and everything she needed she was still a good bit into the country side.

He gave her a small (semi-awkward) squeeze for a hug and started to pull away so he could collect his things, "Alright. I can do that," he said simply not seemingly needing to question the fact that she had a driver. Why would he? It wasn't like it was that impressive. He wasn't easily impressed anyways. She probably needed someone to drive her around for her safety and the safety of the babies.
After he had everything he stood up and quietly offered her his hand to help her up, "I just figured you waddled yourself to your appointment since..You know..You're here."

Tori would have returned the hug but Quint had already pulled away to pack his things. She noted to 'repay' him someday for his kindness. As he packed up his things she did the same. She gladly took the offered hand. "Getting up is always the hard part," she said as she struggled to get to her feet despite the extra hand. At one point she nearly pulled them both over. She grinned apologetically.
"I walk when I can, but walking home isn't much of an option..." she shouldered her bag and then wrapped her hands around one of his arms. "Though close to everything I live a good distance down a dirt road... no neighbors for miles as most of the property is mine... it was gifted to me..." she added the last bit so that her friend didn't think her wealthy.

He had stumbled and almost fell on her but maintained footing and managed to help her up, "Ahh, I see," he let her hold onto his arm as he began to walk forward wit her, "that's quite a gift to get," he observed with a small chuckle. At most he usually got was maybe a CD or some sort of thing like that but never whole properties or land. Yeah. Obviously he hung around the wrong crowd.
Quint patted her hand a bit as they walked out of her hand, "Well at least you never have to worry about whether there is a roof over your head in either case. Right?"

"Yes. It is an amazing gift to get... I still don't understand the why and I may never know," she sighed softly, yet contently.
"Thanks to Carina, you're correct. I don't have to worry about a roof over our heads. She helped me clean the place up..." unless asked she wouldn't mention the condition of the house previous to it being cleaned or how it came to be hers.
She grinned giddy like when he patted her hand. There went her emotions again. From one extreme to the next.

"Sounds like it," he said thoughtfully though other than knowing she had a place to live and that it was livable he was content to just leave it at that. Quint was curious about things but he wasn't too curious either. So he just let the topic slide with a nod and a, "That's kind of her...Always good to have a friend to help you out."
He continued to walk along quietly, it wouldn't take them long to get there, "You going to be okay?"

"I've got a couple girl friends helping me out," Tori said with a smile as they approached the coffee shop. When she said girl friends she meant it exactly that, a two word deal. She valued her 'girls'.
She thought about his question for a moment. Finally after a moment she smiled and gave an assuring nod of her head. She let go of Quints arm and took his hands in hers. "We will be just fine," she said as she put his hands over the spot they'd last kicked her.

"That's good. If you ever need anything I'll come help too, alright?" He felt it was important for her to know that he would be there too not only for the babies that his brother had apparently had a hand in making but for Victoria too.
He let her take his hands and guide them over to her stomach not sure what to make of the movement but he didn't stop her and simply nodded, "I am sure you will be."

"Thank you," she said with a smile. Not having her heels on (not that she'd worn them in a while) she had to get on her tip toes to do so, but she kissed him on the cheek. "I appreciate it more so than words can express."
It was about that time when Murrey was exiting the coffee shop and approaching them. "Ready Miss?" He said offering out his hand.
"Farewell Quint. May we meet again soon and thank you again." Tori took a step back from Quint and smiled.
"Yes," she said as she took her drivers hand so that he could escort her to the limo. For a driver he seemed very friendly with her as if there was more to it than just occupation.

He blushed unable to help himself; he didn't usually get such things from girls because he usually didn't let them this close at least at this age. He nodded a bit, "Not a problem."
Quint removed his hand he was pretty certain he felt the babies move but perhaps it was just the fancy of an uncle. He was going to be an uncle...Heh wow. He felt an odd mix of awe and rage he wasn't sure which would win out but he was sure he'd figure it out when he saw his brother for the talk.
"See you later, Victoria. We'll see each other again," he promised as he lifted up a hand to wave as her and the driver wandered off to get all set up in the limo. Quint stood there a moment and then wandered home.
