"What exactly is a divination set, Belladonna?"Kasumi asked all sorts of questions as they made their way to the dorms. Thinking back on the little creature that awaited them, Kasumi was sure the reaper witch would adore him, and possibly make him the mascot of the club! Moreover, the ghost was thrilled at the thought of having a friend, and that thought warmed her spectral form as much as it could. Bella mentioned that girls are exceptionally needy, but the reaper didn't seem to be, at least to Kasumi. In the corner of her mind, she wondered if Belladonna knew anything about what happened to her in her previous life? In passing, she'd heard from other ghosts that if one wasn't born here in Halloweentown, they were brought here, usually by reapers. Perhaps that was for another time. When they finally arrived at the ghost dormitories, Kasumi began the tour so Belladonna would know what it was like to live there. It was warm and deep underground, to allow ghosts to relax a little bit. It was plush, cozy and several reminders were plastered on the walls, such as, "Keep yourself occupied!" and "Chin up!" and "Remember to stay semi-solid!" Sometimes it was difficult not to dwell on other things. Kasumi had to remind herself often not to think about things she didn't remember. It was better that way. Opening the door to her rather barren dorm, Kasumi heard the chittering of one small, doglike creature. This was what she came for, and it smelled of freshly-cut grass as it approached Belladonna. Wagging a leafy tail, it seemed quite happy to see her. "I'm thinking about naming it... Rhododenreon. Do you think that's too much?"

"Well, a divination set can be a good number of things!"
And as was her character (she did so love to talk), Belladonna answered as many of Kasumi's questions as she could and even if she could not properly answer them, she at least gave a suitable response that could pass for a answer, even if it might be stretching the truth a little. And if Kasumi had inquired after how needy girls were, Belladonna would have told her they vary from girl to girl and that she herself was incredibly needy, but probably not in the way Kasumi was thinking.
Having never been in the Ghost Dorm before, Belladonna made sure to pay very special attention to all she saw, silently delighting in the little posters hung about in the halls. The Reaper Dorms didn't have any of these, and she could think of a good many to have! And when the door was opened to Kasumi's room, Belladonna definitely paid close attention to this, thinking of all the little notes she could write Kasumi during class as well as hoping to grace her walls with happy little stick figures as the girl had no artistic ability when it came to ink and paper.
But then a chirping, dog-like creature festooned with plants stepped forward, waving its leafy tail and Belladonna instantly melted to the floor, one hand sticking out to ask its permission to pet.
"Oh my Hecate! Its PERFECT! Look at you, you most adorable, precious thing you!" Belladonna couldn't help herself and though she had suffered a number of injuires in the past, she picked the thing up and placed it in her lap to cuddle. Why, it didn't seem fierce at all! "I think Rhododenreon is more than perfect. Its a word they haven't invented yet, but we'll call it... Kasumi. We'll say "Oh wow, that's so Kasumi!". Hmm. "On second thought, that just sounds like something you favor. Never mind." She'd think of a more perfect word than perfect later, but for now this darling little thing needed to be pet!

Rhododenreon churripped happily and wagged its tail at the witch, loving and lavishing in the attention. Kasumi was quite pleased that her little expedition yielded a companion more than one person would like! It was a friendly little creature and had a fragrant scent of a freshly-mowed lawn. Refreshing! It rolled over on its back and happily closed its eyes, content to snooze in the witch's lap. In the meantime, Kasumi wandered further into her dorm, to a small chest she kept at the foot of her hospital bed. She kept a small collection of interesting things she'd found in the Lost and Found bin, or in crevices around campus. Opening the musty thing, she pulled out and brushed off a well-loved, but still quite nice plush toy. "I found this the other day and it reminded me of you, Belladonna. I hope you like it?"The ghost sat down on the edge of her bed, nodding to herself. "Thank you very much for speaking to me, Belladonna. I am very grateful to have you as a friend, much less a very good friend! I hope you don't mind all my questions." A smile graced her face as she watched her witch companion petting the little creature she had found. It was blissfully asleep in her lap. "Do you think he would make a good mascot for the Garden Club you mentioned?"

When Rhododenreon flopped over to sleep in her lap, Belladonna let out the tiniest whisper of a coo, dropping her face to give its head a quick peck (Oh! It smelled so delightful!) before rubbing its stomach gently. "Its absolutely perfect Kasumi. Everyone will love it! Once we get everything set up, we'll make it a special bed and everything!" This was all turning out much better than the witch had expected! Sure she had wanted other to share their loves of plants, but for her new best friend to actually find them a mascot?! It was all too perfect, like all the pieces in a puzzle were assembling themselves because Jack knew Belladonna couldn't do those things worth a copper pumpkin seed!
And then Kasumi was holding out the most precious little stuffed lamb and saying such kind words that Belladonna couldn't help but stand up, set the sleeping animal gently on Kasumi's bed and grab the girl into a very tight squeeze.
"I love it and I am so glad you're my friend! I love your questions!" After a moment the witch let her ghost friend go, taking the toy into her small hands and looking at it intensely. "I'm going to name it... Umi! Like the last few letters in your name!" Yes, that would do most nicely. And Belladonna was being absolutely serious about being glad Kasumi was her friend. It was this kind of 'gooey' talk that Belladonna's family frowned upon, but whoever said you had to listen solely to their family? No! From now own, Kasumi was Belladonna's family and vice versa. The ghost girl was alone in this world no longer for Belladonna promised to watch her and protect her and sew her lots of pretty dresses! INDEED.
It was with a great deal of giggling and chatter that the girls spent the remainder of their day, vowing to take the same classes when they could and to write each other notes about the boils they fancied. And as Belladonna skipped back to the Reaper Dorms that night, Umi the little plushie sheep tucked under her arm, she couldn't help but smile the whole way and when Binx scolded her for being out so late she didn't care. Kasumi was her friend and that was all that mattered!
FIN!
