"Yes, please. I'm kind of exhausted, actually."
She sounded surprised by this. She was usually so full of energy. A yawn escaped her mouth, illustrating her point.
"I'm sorry for sort of...dumping myself on you."
Another breeze brushed by, and she breathed deeply, relishing the fresh scent. She could smell a hint of rain in it, and she smiled.

So much for sleeping when she was dead, hm?
Reitten's head bobbed in a nod as she replied. He supposed he was fairly tired too, or that a soft place to rest would be nice at least. Though everything was still dark and still, he knew the sun would be rising soon enough. Maybe an hour or two before dawn, he figured, which was a fairly reasonable time for bed. Reasonable by his own standards, anyway.
Once Stratamet answered, he took off again. Walking slowly, so as not to lose her in the darkness, but not at a snail's pace either. And he lead a straight path through the grass, around the edge of a small hill until he lead to the gate enclosing his pasture.
"It's no trouble," he responded, in an off-hand way. "My pasture gets frequent visitors." Though none have been for me as of yet.. Then with his muzzle, he bent to push the gate open, placing a front leg by the hinge to hold it out. "After you," he said, in not much more than a whisper.
