Roman took a deep breath to calm his nerves. Was he really going to do this? He could get in big trouble is his mother ever found out about it but, that pendant...it was just right.
"Okay, what do I gotta do?" He stood up, tall and proud. The one good trait about Roman was that he didn't do anything half-assed, even if it was relatively 'immoral'.

The grin on Gabriel's face could bring a conman to his knees.
"Alright, tho..." he paused immediately when the corner of one of his bright red eyes caught sight of the jeweler, his trained eyes looking critically at the boys through the glass. Easily, Gabriel smiled at him before nodding his head in the direction of a thin alleyway near the store, gesturing for Roman to follow as he walked away easily.
Safely hidden away, he felt much less nervous about speaking easily; the people on the street could care less what they heard, after all. So long as no harm would befall their petty, normal little lives, they could be content to ignore a pair of scrappy children hunched in an alleyway. For casualty -and to make a back-up plan in case they were seen or overheard- Gabriel leaned up against the brick wall that made up one side of the alleyway, not a fraction of the stench getting to him considering it rather complimented his smell of Eau de Streetrat.
"Tho I have a pocketful'a thtoneth, right?" he noted first-and-foremost, pulling the rhinestones out of his pocket. "Thmall and realithtic and I think thome'a them might be worth at leatht a little bit, but I know that none'a them are worth a whole lot. Tho the plan ith to try and keep away ath much thuthpithion ( suspicion ) ath pothible; firtht, go in, offer the thtoneth and athk how much they cotht. When the guy athkth if you wan'na look at anything -he alwayth doeth, I triple-checked- then athk for that necklathe that you want. Thoon ath he leaveth to check the jewelth -and he'll only be gone a thecond to get hith magnify-y thing- at my mark, we take the necklatheth, run down the thtreet and around the corner, where the buth will jutht'a gotten there. Make thenthe?"

Roman resisted the urge to stick his tongue out at the jeweler. He had the innate feeling that if he tried something that stupid, the plan wouldn't even get off the ground. Instead, he nodded towards him before following after Gabriel.
Unlike his companion, Roman stood in the center of the alleyway with his hands shoved into his pockets. There was no way in hell he was going to touch that skanky a** wall. What if it gave him some kind of weird disease? And what in the world was up with that smell? He curled his nose in disgust, coughing a bit of prevent himself from gagging.
"Right." Roman nodded, looking at the rhinestones. "Sounds good to me, 'cept for one big thing; how are we goin' to trick him long enough to get 'im to show us both?"

Gabriel was feeling quite cool and confident when his plan was accepted, slipping the stones back into his pocket, tail flicking back and forth behind him. However, the statement that followed resulted in the blankest of deadpan looks. Slowly, he blinked his bright red eyes, ears and headwings drooping down slowly. "You... huh?" he asked, glancing toward the other blankly. It was that followed by a groan as he slouched heavily against the wall behind him, letting his head fall back as well.
"Man..." he whined, pouting at the sky unhappily. "And here I though I had all of it figured out..." Despite that, it wasn't as though he was going to give up just yet. No, the clever little pride child would find a way to get this to work. "Well... I gueth we could thplit them up, but that would be thuthpichuth..." he mumbled, speaking mostly to himself.
"What if-- Augh, no, that wouldn't work... if only we had thomeone elthe to make thome kind of dithtraction or... thomething..." he mumbled unhappily before giggling a bit, rolling his eyes. "Courthe we could alwayth get one, break the glath, and juth take the other one, if we can't think of anything better."
