Name: Ana'mwelekeo
Meaning: She has attitude
Parents: Pata'nguvu x Beluwa
Pride: Still working on the name for it, but beyond that, it's just about ready to be posted! One of the big things in it, though, is that everybody's naturally colored - She'd fit right in!
Position: Usurper Queen/Head Huntress
Personality: A haughty lioness, Ana believes herself above others. Her position as the head huntress before the 'usurping' in her pride didn't really help this matter. While she knows her position as 'queen' is temporary at best, she enjoys it while she can. In private times, she confides to her mate often that she hopes the 'dead' king's heir never returns to the pride. After all, who'd want to be just the head huntress when they can be the QUEEN instead?
History: Born to a skilled huntress and the last Head Guard of the pride, Ana was one of many girls and many cubs between her parents. That isn't to say they weren't loved, though - All of them were treasured, and all taught carefully by their parents. Ana had a problem, though - She'd been passed over by the king for betrothal to the heir, something she wasn't too happy about. So she settled for the next best thing - The heir's brother. She did everything to impress him, working hard until her hunting skills surpassed her mother. While his brother was gone in exhile, as they knew it to be, she formed a bond with the ex-prince. He, too, was jealous of what was going on. Why couldn't HE be king? Just as Ana wanted to be queen, Miraz wanted to be king. It was a win/win situation for them! So they plotted on how to overthrow the 'usurper' king of their generation... Only for Miraz's brother to come back and overthrow the 'usurper.' It was then that they learned the truth - The 'usurping' had been a farce, a test of the heir's worth. When the time came, he would take his turn as the 'murdered' king, and need an 'usurper.' For Miraz and Ana... This was perfect. It would sate their desire to rule the pride, and still fulfill tradition. So when Miraz's nephew was a juvenile, Miraz 'killed' his brother and ran his nephew out. They've been 'ruling' since then.

Plots: Ana will fulfill the tradition of her pride, in the form of the Heir's Test, by co-ruling with Miraz while his brother is 'dead' and his nephew is 'in exhile' - Neither is actually what they seem, though, all a plot started generations upon generations before by a pair of friends. For now, she simply does as any queen does - Sits by Miraz and looks pretty. She's fine with that, of course, it means less chance of injury and messing up her fur. Eventually, maybe before Miraz's nephew returns, she'll bear a litter of cubs, the product of her love for Miraz, though with no delusions that her first-born son will be a king. After all, the 'exhiled' heir always has the chance to return.

Rank: Captain

Personality: Erling is a gruff old fellow. He's a Captain in the Myrsky Skntynyt, a lion who leads a party of raiders. Like his fellow warriors, Erling is a tough, battle-scarred veteran. All of his life he's lived for glorious battle and conquest, but there was one great vulnerable spot in the lion's life: Dagrun, his wife. Unlike many males of the viking pride, Erling never took wives or lovers beyond Dagrun, not even when away from the pride on raids. Dagrun was his life, and when she was taken to a terrible fate by pirates Erling hardened his heart.

Since Dagrun's loss he has lived for his pride and for his daughter, who almost seems to be Dagrun come back to him. He is proud of her, even though she is not a warrior, and recognizes her inner strength. When Brynja fell for a thrall it was like Erling's world came crashing down around his ears. His precious daughter, the light of his life, lusting after a SLAVE? A slave that HE had captured, a lion unworthy to beat him? He would not have it! No! Erling was gruff, harsh, stoic, but never cruel ... now he has started to show cruelty and rage as the stress of worrying over his daughter wears on him.

Erling will be looking for fights, to take out the rage on others that he can't take out on his daughter ... rage that it would be dishonorable to take out on a mere thrall, as well. He will slowly give in more and more to his bouts of darkness and anger, becoming a true terror in his old age. He may even dishonor the memory of Dagrun, and loathe himself (but that damned thrall even more) for it.

Pride: Myrsky Skntynyt
Rank: Thrall
Personality: Anga is quiet, though one could say he chooses his words carefully. There’s no mistaking that he is a smart and cunning lion, but also one who is passionate and has a strong sense of morality. It’s not just right and wrong, but personal honor is held in high esteem to him as well, though this doesn’t mean he won’t deceive others if necessary. Just as long as it is for the greater purpose of good.

History: Anga'tumeuona didn’t begin life in the Myrsky Syntynyt; he lived with his family in the rogue lands before the Vikings came. Anga was captured in the raid by Erling, one of the pride’s noted and venerable Captains, and taken as a Thrall back to the Myrsky Syntynyt. Though at first he was outraged and hell-bent on escaping and returning to his homelands, it wasn’t long before he found his reason to stay. Brynja, one of the pride’s Priestesses. At first he ran errands for her as she commanded, gathering stones and bones for her to bless and doing as she commanded him. He was interested in her the moment they met, and he later came to realize that she felt the same way. Their mutual attraction grew steadily into something more, yet neither of them would dare to risk the ire of Brynja’s father, Erling, in trying to make their feelings known to others.

Now Anga had purpose for staying in the pride, and he was determined to prove himself worthy of Brynja by challenging for the rank of Reaver and earning a position of value for himself. Maybe then, he reasoned, her father would not forbid them to be together.

Name: Brynja (Norwegian for 'Armor/Golden Armor') Played by pinchmonster

Rank: Priestess
Parents: Erling x Dagrun
Personality: Brynja is a lady. Poised and elegant, cool and collected, Brynja is a female who has been perfectly groomed to make her father proud. She's not completely without emotion; her temper would make any Warrior smile with glee -- to purposefully rile Brynja would certainly mean doom to the provocateur. Those who know her understand this, and those who do not should tread carefully.

History: Brynja was born into the Stormborn; her father Erling, a proud Captain and his bride Dagrun welcomed their single cub into the pride with much rejoicing. When her mother was taken by rivaling pirates that raided the Stormborn, Erling was left alone to raise his daughter. Since her mother had been a much-revered priestess in the pride, Erling thought it only natural that his daughter be raised to take on the same tasks.

Brynja blossomed into a lovely lioness, one who paid her father much respect and brought him much pride. That is, at least, until Erling brought home a slave. One with blue eyes that took Brynja's breath away. She knew it was wrong but it didn't stop her from seeking him out, even if it was just to watch him work. He was stunning, he was strong... but he was a slave, and she could never disrespect her father like that.

Or so she thought. After sending Anga out to bring her supplies she used in her tasks, she knew that she wanted to be with the lion at all costs, even if that meant she had to break her proud father's Warrior heart. They met in secret and Erling never realized that his daughter and a mere Thrall were in love... at least, until he saw it with his own eyes.

Now Brynja is forbidden to see Anga and she obeys her father for fear of causing Anga's death... at least until she can find someone she trusts to cover for her.

Rank: Wench but she will be fighting to prove she deserves to be a Captain
Personality: Kaidi is just as her name says, she is stubborn as hell and wishing to prove she is worth more then the rank she was given. She is very much the kleptomaniac to top it off. Its something she struggles with everyday seeing as she can't steal from other members of the pride. Kaidi found one way to do it though, she likes to use her womanly charms to rob males of their treasures. Kaidi tends to the males but doesn't much care for cubs so she goes the other way when they are mentioned.
History:Kaidi was born to this pride but her parents have long since pasted. Her whole life she was told there was only one path for her and she just wouldn't have it. Kaidi was determined she would become a captain even as a cub. When she become an adult she lost sight of this dream for the longest time. Just keeping her head low while fighting with her klepto tendencies.

It was the day she learned how to use her femininity to get what she wanted, that she remembered her cub hood dream. She found the path to what she wanted and Kaidi would teach the males that she was a lioness to be dealt with very carefully. Kaidi was only unlucky to someone out of the pride who held something of value.

This handsome man is on a mission- to find his beloved daughter.

It felt like an eternity since she was taken from him, but still he searches for her, always hoping that he’ll discover the location of the disgusting male who stole her away to use her as nothing more than a slave. While he doesn’t know what kind of things have happened to her, he does know that she was taken against her will when she was still a adolescence and he isn’t going to stand for it. His sickly mate died giving birth to her, the only one in the litter to come out alive. She was his only tie to a past he deeply loved and he wants to see her again more than anything. More than eating, sleeping, finding a home, finding new love- it wasn’t possible for him to focus completely on such things.

Sefu is a very stubborn, daring lion who had been traveling the lands looking for a male that needs to die and female he wants to reunite with. Two simple missions, right? But things aren’t always so simple. Many challenges lie in the way. Challenges he’ll take head-on, as any devoted father in his place would.

Time is not important.

Distance is easily dealt with.

It’s knowing the land that he has the most trouble with. Being a lion who had only stayed in one area his entire life, and who happens to be a bit older now and more set in his ways than ever, his search for so long has been very limited. Finally he has decided to extend his search beyond the familiar, desperate enough to risk it.

SO WHAT DOES THAT MEAN FOR YOU? Well, let me tell you what I need.

A Travel Companion

Sefu needs someone to help him explore the lands and look for his daughter. Perhaps someone who is a good deal younger than him: someone who knows the lay of the land far beyond what he’s aware of and can help him travel. It would be nice to have a youthful spirit driving him on. This male doesn’t need to be super kind, but he does need a sense of justice or fatherly instinct strong enough to help him feel compelled to lend a hand. They can tolerate each other or he can become something of a father figure himself, despite age, for the still new dad to fall back on when times feel more impossible to handle.

A Daughter

Obviously, he’s going to need a daughter to find! I was thinking she was abducted a little while back, so she can still be an adol or a new adult. She would need to look at least a little like him. Natural-ish. Eventually, he is going to find her and save her. Let me make it clear that she will NOT be in love with the male who stole her, nor will she be reluctant to leave. xD this is your classic hero tale. No Stockholm syndrome, please.

A Villain

A male to injury/kill. The male who stole his daughter away from him, or who ended up with her if that male decided to pass her off. The background doesn’t matter to me, as long as he’s using the daughter as a slave and is willing to get the s**t kicked out of him by a very angry father and his traveling companion. XD

Random Encounters

Just RPs with other animals who may or may not have information leading to the discovery of the male’s home. The information they have can be talked about in the plot process before the RP begins. xD I don’t want someone popping in with ALL the answers- I think a mystery would be more fun. Gibbs:

Gibbithro - He is the type of lion who needs something to keep him from being idle. He lost his mate and cub to a murderous lion on a rampage in the past and, while he doesn't speak of it, is fueled by it. He is very straight forward and prefers for others to be so as well. He can also be very sarcastic especially when someone is stating the obvious. He has a small attachment and commitment issue since the death of his first mate making it nearly impossible for him to keep a mate. While he may seem like a no nonsense type of lion he cares for his friends and often gives them an affection whap to the back of the head, with his tail, when they get out of hand or off track.

Ziva:

Zuwena - She is very strong, skilled fighter who uses her opponents attacks against them. She was awkward as a child and never really reached out to anyone. That being the case, she sometimes doesn't understand what others say, particularly when they say something that isn't meant to be taken literally. She is sarcastic, confident, and seems to know herself very well, even if she doesn't get other lions. She admires the older lion and finds the younger one irritating in a charming way.

DiNizzo:

DiNozzo - He is fiercely loyal to Gibbithro and the rest of his team but he does have a fondness for playing pranks on them except for Gibbithro, and has little respect for their boundaries. He is a flirt, often getting shot down by females, but that doesn't stop him even thought he is still hurting from a relationship that ended badly. He does have feelings for Zuwena though they are never really brought up, she would likely break something. Despite his playboy manner and light-hearted nature, DiNozzo is frequently shown to be very intelligent.

* The characters are loosely based off three main characters of NCIS, Agents Gibbs, Ziva, and DiNizzo.

Lion Devourer

Plot:

The lion devourer is wreaking havoc across the rogue lands, stricking in the dead of night and in broad daylight. Word spreads and after coming across an unfortunate victim, the group [trio] decide to put an end to the reign of terror.

Looking for:
* A lion eater/ killer, can be any species
- up to the player as to why they kill/eat lions
- must be willing to have character to be roughed up
* A lion or lioness to play the role of the victim who escaped the lion devourers clutches
* A lion or lioness to play the roll of the next victim/ target
- Must be willing to have your character be stalked by and take a beating from the lion devourer

Needed: Lots of rp leading to whereabouts of the killer. Victims family, terrified lions, excited gossips and actual sighting.

The Plot

Deep in the heart of the desert lies a long-forgotten pride, that hides from Africa’s general population. A pride of nomads, with strict, old-fashioned beliefs that refuses to admit any new members, incase it should taint the old blood. Needless to say, when a lioness in the pride let her emotions get the better of her, and returned from a hunting trip pregnant by a rogue...it wasn’t received well. She was instantly outcasted, the pride’s leader, Daktari, having no patience for such mistakes. The lioness struggled on her own, and died shortly after childbirth. Only two of her cubs made it to adulthood – one boy, one girl.

Fast-forward a few years. Daktari is now a greying, aged lion who is struggling to keep his pride together. Young lions are leaving for more glamorous, favoured locations, leaving behind only a few loyal members who are well past their prime in life. One of the few young ones left is Dafinamoja – Daktari’s daughter. When his mate died in childbirth, he made a promise to protect his daughter, and did so by being fiercely overprotective. He rarely allows her out of his sight – only to hunt and bathe.

Unfortunately, on one of these hunting trips, Dafinamoja met Haki’bin.

She quickly fell in love with this charming, well-travelled lion who quite literally swept her off of her feet. She begrudgingly returned to the pride, but only with a promise that they’d meet again. It became a regular occurrence, and the pair would have eloped were it not for Dafina’s father – she couldn’t bear to hurt him in such a way. The only thing he loved more than his pride was her, and he was already losing his pride. To lose both would surely leave him without a will to live.

But that was Haki’bin’s plan. Or, not necessarily his plan, but his sister’s. The two children of the original, ill-fated lioness that Daktari cast out, this was exactly what they wanted. To punish the old leader for what they saw as murder – their mother would be alive were it not for him and his purist mind. In reality, it was Haki’bin’s sister’s plan – she was the brains, and he was the brawn. Needless to say, Haki’bin actually falling in love with Dafinamoja wasn’t part of the plan. He was as smitten with her as she was with him – but how would he tell his sister? How would she react?

Only time will tell.

The Current Players

Daktari (The Old Dude. Name meaning 'doctor' in Swahili, played by xo -- k a i r i) is just a father, trying to protect his beloved daughter. When his mate died during childbirth, Dafinamoja was the only cub to survive. In her dying breath, his mate asked him to protect her, at all costs, and its a promise Daktari is determined never to break. He believes strongly in honor and justice, and if a lion is shown to not have such qualities they will be given none of Daktari's time or patience - he has little time for quitters or cheaters. Daktari realizes that he's getting on in years, and that he only really has strength for one task - as is proved by the slowly dwindling pride he was, and still is, in charge of. The pride is old-fashioned, and the members are leaving in favour of newer, more populated prides. Daktari can only watch as his devotion to his daughter makes the pride suffer and wilt - it kills him inside, each and every day.

Dafinamoja (The Girl. Name meaning 'treasured one' in Swahili, played by Reeshie Hack) is emotional and kind. For the most part, she does her best to put others, specifically her father, before herself, something ingrained into her personality growing up with her father. While he smothered her, she caught early on that he was deeply worried for her safety, so she put up with his overprotectiveness. While all the others left, many friends, she stayed for his sake. She does her best to help those she comes across and dreams of having her own family someday, finding a male who loved and cared for her (But didn't smother her), to let her father have grandcubs someday.

Haki'bin (The Darker Male. Name meaning 'justice son' in Swahili, played by Roxy_roxanna2)
Haki'bin and his sister have been their own tiny family unit since birth, their mother mated to a rogue and was cast from her pride. The cubs watched as she withered and died forcing them to fend for themselves. Haki's sister has blamed the old pride leader for every misfortune in life and has trained her brother to be her instrument of revenge against him. Together they have traveled in search of Daktari determined to end his life and cause him the pain they experienced in their youth.
However Haki'bin had unknowingly fallen in love with Daktari's daughter and unbeknown to his sister plans to leave revenge behind in favor of love.
Haki'bin and his sister raised themselves and each other in the rogue lands which lead Haki into an almost carefree attitude. Everyday might be his last and so he was determined never to let his pleasures be disturbed by overexertion or hard labor. While he was smart enough to focus on things like food and protection he saw no need to go above and beyond his duty to his sister. His behavior could be reckless at times following his ideals that life could be short and thus ought to be heavily enjoyed. His sister's teachings of revenge and her plan to turn her brother into the tool she would use to strike down their mothers 'killer' only made the male more wild. He took on every challenge every danger he could find to hone himself and make his sister proud. He ached to live a life so full of adventure, danger, and thrills, especially knowing that each sunrise might be the last. Though he wanted to fight for his sisters cause, he worried that the older male who had cast their mother out might defeat him someday. The inner fear and feeling of inadequacy only pushed him to new heights of desperation, eager to find what he feels is missing in life.

The Missing Pieces

And so, we still have a few gaps that need filling by you, the glorious general public of SoA <3 There are a few select roles that require the SoA in question to have no background, but we also have more general roles if you just want a piece of the action. After the plot is over, your SoA will be free to continue their lives as you wish.

What we need are:

• Haki’bin’s sister, the mastermind of the whole plan to bring Daktari’s downfall. She’d need to be a blank slate, as her history is already decided. It would be nice if she beared a resemblance to Haki’bin, but not entirely necessary, since the father was a rogue.
  
• A secret best friend for Dafinamoja, her closest confident. Male or female, they would be a rogue she regularly meets on hunting trips out of the pride. Eventually, they will hopefully prove to Daktari that rogues aren’t all bad.
  
• Original pride members, those who haven’t left yet. They can leave during the plot, or at the end when the pride will likely be disbanded.
  
• A good Samaritan – someone for Haki’bin to meet and chat with, who eventually ends up being the kick up the butt the lion needs to realize he loves Dafina, and doesn’t want to hurt her. Male or female, can be literally anyone.

Older Lion

Name - Palomides
Role - Guard and Protector/Knight of the Pride
Personality/History - Palomides has worked for the Royal Family for most of his life, is the son of a Knight, and has always been proud to serve the family. He's watched the Princess grow up because the family trusts him (and probably because he's a bit past his prime to be out along the borders). He's also been given the privilage and honor of guarding the Princess.

Palomides wasn't always the patient lion he is today - no like most young males he went through his years of arrogance and womanizing, a young knight within the prime of his life has rather hot blood you know - and certainly he hadn't been above using his station as a knight to get all the privilages he could out of it. Of course that had been quite some years ago now and as his blood cooled so too had his arrogance and wandering heart. It was the wandering heart he'd always regretted the most as he'd never settled down and had a family and now it was likely a touch to late for such things. Why if it hadn't been for his job Palomides would have likely become a shriveled up old coot with a cold and icy heart...

But his job saved him from such a fate. Palomides was the son of a Knight, the grandson of a knight, and like his father and grandfather before him Palomides was married to job. He loved being a knight and once he'd stopped gallavanting about he was pretty darn good at it too. With age came expirience and wisdom, with diligence came respect, and though he was older now he took pride in his position as the Princess Accalia's guard...it was an honor really to be trusted with such a duty and the princess? Well he'd practically watched her grow up...she would make a fine queen someday and Palomides took no little bit of pleasure in knowing that he'd have a paw in heading her down the right path. He was guardian, teacher, bothersome rulemaker, and sometimes a shoulder to cry on: the father figure Accalia couldn't fully find in her blood father, who was often busy running the wide-spread pride.

Name - Accalia
Role - Princess
Personality/History - Accalia is very much your typical spoiled princess: she always gets what she wants, when she wants it. She is beautiful, vain, smart, passionate about life and is obviously destined for greatness. Her upbringing has been a slightly sheltered one, as her parents believed it was not proper for a princess to be out galavanting around the world when she should be at home attending her duties and learning the ropes so that one day she may run the pride. This of course has made her a bit of a rebel, wishing to see the world at least once before she takes over the pride, so occasionally she will use her rank to get others to look the other way so that she may sneak off for a bit. It's not that she doesn't want to take over the pride; on the contrary, Accalia very much looks forward to the day when she can rule, but she is curious as to what the world is like outside of what she knows.

Of course being a princess also means that you must always be looked over, and in Accalia's case she is almost always trailed by her loyal guard Palomide who is very much like a second father to her. Though she has been known to try to slip away from him from time to time. With her loyal guard always there to guard and protect her Accalia sees no harm in going off on random adventures, especially since she can justify any trip as a way of furthering her knowledge of things which in turn will help her when she rules. One other thing she hopes to achieve is finding herself a prince charming to sweep her off of her paws and rule beside her one day - which of course with her good looks it will be no challenge at all.

It's rumored the princess has a secret stash of collected "jewels", though the location was supposedly 100% invisible to everyone . . .

Name - Siegfried
Role - Ex-Peasant/Ex-noble/now apparently a Thief
Personality/History - You know those types that are always so smug about something you want to punch him? That’s pretty much Siegfried in a nutshell. Doesn’t matter if he’s in trouble, because one way or another this lion finds a way to make the situation work in his favor – sometimes to the point of self-endangerment, ironically. And if it doesn’t go his way, well, his short fuse is displayed, and then it becomes business time boy howdy. He’s not afraid to strike back at either gender if they anger him enough, even if afterwards he feels a smidge of remorse for it.

Thankfully Siegfried’s general character is more of a “live in the moment” sort, which probably explains that lack of foresight for consequences to his actions. But by the time those consequences come about, he’s probably already mired in some new adventure or problematic situation he caused himself.

Understandably, Sieg’s lack of respect towards others wasn’t ingrained in him, but a learned behavior from his mother’s lackadaisical care-taking of himself and his siblings. The pride was but a fledgling in the land, stiff in castes and infected with scandal after scandal because of it. The mother, Ysabel, was a peasant who was more inclined to think of her future rather than the present, however, and began a most unnecessary conflict with the upper court by claiming that her children were sired by one of their nobles. Being unable to take care of them, and the mere mention of mixing castes being taboo, she demanded compensation in the form of raised ranks.

The poor noble in question, fool that he was, had in fact been keeping a clandestine line of women coming his way, most of which he did not remember names of by the next day. Naturally, to avoid losing more face than he was with the others of the court, he allowed Ysabel and her cubs into the noble ranks and dusted the whole mess under the carpet so to speak; though considered a mated pair, the two were never shared any form of love to one another beyond a mutual “I don’t bother you, you don’t bother me” policy.

This was the home young Siegfried grew up in, and he didn’t like one bit of it. Consequentially, he was the “ungrateful brat” of the group, the one Ysabel had to make sure didn’t start thinking too hard about how he himself only shared passing similarities to the nobleman. Restricting a cub’s imagination, though, tends to backfire – in this case it outright exploded. The more Ysabel sought control over her son, the more Siegfried rebelled against her; sometimes for legitimate reasons, but mostly for the sake of rebellion. He had it ingrained in his mind that he was a hero, the son of a tryst given the chance at a better life that he wanted all of the lions of his pride to share; of course, such equality was idealistic, but young Siegfried was optimistic at heart. It was what kept him going when his family was near the bottom of the hierarchy in the first place.

He just couldn't fully enjoy the cushy life, not after having tasted what “real” life was like on the fringes of the pride. The only time he used his power as a court-class lion was when he attempted to bring attention to the pride’s starving citizens of the lower-class. For the most part, though, he was either ignored or what solutions that were offered weren’t nearly enough for him.

Deciding rash action was needed, Siegfried began a small coalition in secret with other members of the castes who were in agreement that change was needed. Revolution was a glorious painting in the young adult’s mind: he was living a hero’s life!

Which was all fine and dandy till their little coup was squashed, the members either slaughtered by the soldiers or chased out. Cast out of his caste and branded a traitor, Sieg fled as far as he could from the pride, his built up ego broken by the sheer impossibility that the good guys could lose.

With time, knowing he had to make ends meet, the male began collecting what interesting items he could and pawned them off for a meal or place to stay where he was able to. Slowly his dreams of being an all-time hero faded, even if that optimism of his didn’t. Replacing “those stupid ideas” with more intriguing ones, Siegfried took on the role of a thief and has since enjoyed his bachelor lifestyle of day-to-day events.

He figured he’d landed a good meal plan when he happened across an impossibly large stash of goods and took the princess’s necklace. What he got instead might prove more than he can stomach . . .

Story Summary

- Siegfried manages to pull off the heist of the century (to him anyways) by sneaking into the pride's lands and sneaking away with part of Accalia's stash.

- Shortly afterwards Accalia returns to find the trinket (one of her favorites of course) missing. Outraged she demands that it be found and returned immediately, She and Palamides waste a goodly bit of time looking for the culprit in the pride

-Siegfried think he's gotten away scot free and slows down to gloat and examine his loot, meanwhile Accalia and Pal have realized that it must have been an outside job and Pal takes things old school tracker to pick up the thief's trail. Pal agrees to let Accalia come with him because if he dosen't she's just going to go off on her own and likely get lost or wounded. They nearly catch up to Sigfried before the younger lion realizes the posses on his trail and takes off again

- Siegfried leads Pal and Accalia on a merry chase through the country side trying every trick he can think of to loose his pursuers over a couple of days..but all for naught as Pal - clever and old Knight that he is - see through all the tricks and steadily gains ground on the younger thief.

- Caught between a rock (or a cliff, or a canyon, or a rushing river) and a hard place with no place left to run Siegfried refuses to give up his trinket and swallows it when the duo catch him; no, he's not very smart when pushed into a corner.

- Accalia is of course completely outraged at the thief's actions and demands that Pal take him prison and return him to the pride for justice...'cept now he's sick from swallowing that damned jewel, and Accalia keeps finding 'intresting' things to investigate now that she's out in the world and away from the pride for the first time ever. She uses the excuse of Siegfried's illness as a reason to take it easy. Pal thinks he should just gut the thief and reclaim the Jewel that way but Accalia is adamant about returning with him to the pride.

- The trip back home is slow going because of the youngsters shennagains and Pal's patience is begining to wear thin - espechially with the thief whose been trying to woo Accalia away with lies...mostly in the vain hope that he can use her to cover his escape, leaving her somewhere for Pal to track down while he makes his getaway. During an argument or scuffle it comes out who Siegfried's mother was and Pal recognizes the name...a few realizations later and he's the dead beat dad of a wannabe thief. This does not go over well.

- Upon returning to the pride the trio are faced with horror - something terrible has happened in thier absense and the pride has been destroyed. They are now homeless - at least Pal and Accalia are - a fact which Sieg finds quite amusing...until Pal demands that he help him find a safe and stabe home for the princess in return for his freedom again. Siegfried is either cowed by Pal's demands or has been developing a bit of a soft spot for the princess but he agrees and the trio go off into the sunset in serch of a new pride.

- Also, that stone has to come out one way or another . . . ninja

A plucky, playful lioness born to the Pridelands bloodline, Aesha loves to live life to the full. She doesn't believe in being careful all the time, but instead wants to experience the world and everything it has to offer. Her parents both died while she was young, and she was left in her uncle's care. Over time, she grew into a beautiful lioness. Sleek, fast and a talented huntress. She would have considered a scout position, but she is far too antsy and energetic to have the patience required to be a scout, so she gave up on that idea. She has a silver tongue and a sharp, witty sense of humour. She doesn't suffer fools and has no problem telling someone straight up if they are annoying her. The only bane of her life is her uncle. Over protective and pushy she feels almost as if he is strangling her slowly. Unbeknownst to her, at first, is the fact that he has designs on her.

Then, one eve, her world was shifted. A stranger, dark of fur and bright of eye, appeared before her. His kind smile and easy manner was a balm to her worried soul. As the night bore down, they talked, of mundane things and private things. She spilled her heart, and her worries and found in him a companion. Someone who didn't see her as weaker for her troubles, as less able because she wa snot fearless. Together, they came to a decision, and for the first time in her life since she grew to adulthood, she trusted another, leaned on him in a way that only age and shared experience brought them. But there was something honest, and pure about him.. something that drew her.

After the escape, while she tended his wounds on their long and harried journey, another emotion came to her, along with the respect and trust, love bloomed. It was new, brilliant and shining and yet scary to her. Her world went from the horizon, to this one being, this one male who had shed blood for her. How could she ever repay his sacrifice, his emotion?

When he asked her, told her of his own feelings, there was no other answer that she could have given, and no other answer that she wanted to give. Scared, young and dizzy with it all, she agreed.

Don't think that she changed though, beyond the love-sick gazing and blushes, she was still the huntress with the quick it and wry tongue she had always been. Only now, she had someone to share those inner jokes with.

She is aimed for the Tuait'tekem pride, as they are a sandy/naturally coloured pride and hidden away from her uncle. She has come from a prideland bloodline. If accepted, I would like her to have been a member of the prideland pride before her escape.

Personality:
Kres is aptly named. A Knight in both heart and personality. He might be a bit rough around the edges, but he's fiercely loyal and protective, with an understandable weakness for helping those who cannot help themselves.

Perhaps a bit of a loner and a 'quiet strength' sort, he might be a bit socially awkward at some points, but his heart is in the right place and he'll follow where it leads him.

Origin:
Kreshnik comes from a family of rogues, bred almost exclusively for the purpose of being a "warrior" for their future pride. Unfortunately most of the rogues in their makeshift pride wanted to take by force, by brutalization. By fear.

Despite being raised to be a warrior with those "ideals" in mind, he had developed his own moral code and thus could not stand to side with the ones he called "family" any longer. He did not leave quietly, nor without several scars both on his body and heart. Not necessarily overly bitter about being used by his own kin, but still smarting; he's been a lone rogue for quite some time.

Love Interest:
Many strange sights and things Kreshnik has seen, been, and done.

But there has yet to be one as strange as his most recent stumble-upon.

She was lovely, of course. There was no denying that. Skilled, agile, and graceful. The look in her eyes, however, was what drew him inexorably to her side.

He was on the borders of the Pridelands, had even polished off a small meal that was - for lack of a better description - a snack meant to get him by until he took down larger game, and was on the prowl for more. It was chance he stumbled upon her, lying in the shade. One look at her - into her eyes - and he turned back, padding over with a smile and relaxed gait.

Perhaps it was because he was so open, or just the fact she was that disturbed about her situation, but they talked. The first threads of friendship were formed, and yes, Kreshnik found he wanted to help her. Urges like that he could not resist...even had he the heart to.

The two devised, and passed several more hours in thought. He would stand as her psuedo mate - much to how his heart didn't exactly like that particular deception, it was to help her in the end - and take her away from here.

Her Uncle, when he saw him, put his fur on edge. Oh, he appeared to be the sort that could be amiable...the look in his eyes as he gazed at his neice spoke differently. Desire, possesiveness, to name the foremost two. All set off the warning bells in his mind, and suddenly he was sure that Aesha would not be leaving this place without him fighting her uncle.

The old man was decent, but sorely outmatched in strength, agility, and skill. Kres knocked him unconscious, but surely leaving several sets of aching and bruised muscles beforehand.

Not about to leave her alone on her own, he took her away, hopefully moving them fast enough, far enough, that her uncle wouldn't follow. The more time he spent with her, the more his heart grew fonder...the harder, he knew, to leave her. A night several weeks after, he confessed to his growing feelings, so strong and unbreakable, and pledged his loyalty and unerring protection to her, regardless of her own feelings for him.

It brought him indescribable joy when she accepted.

Little did he know their world would be shattered and flipped upside down when her uncle tracked them down.

But that, as well as all other events, are for another night near the fire.

Eat, consider, and rest well.

Kreshnik watches over you, this night; you're safe with him.

.:The Future:.
The plot will obviously depend on how the three interact, but loosely it is thus: Aesha, feeling the growing need to escape from under her uncles lecherous paw, runs into the handsom and charming dark-coated male. After becoming friends with him she confesses her situation and how desperate she needs to escape before her uncle can make his move. The two youngsters plot together, hatching a plan to allow her to escape in a way that will prevent the uncle, hopefully, from trying to follow her. (Though we plan on him doing just that.) The rogue male will pretend to claim her as his mate, stealing her away from the uncle after beating the older lion in a fight. During the escape the two actually fall in love together and the hoax becomes reality. They make their way to the Tuait'tekem, seeking refuge among the desert pride.

.:Wanted..:.
Someone to play the lecherous Uncle. Hopefully he will follow her to which ever pride she runs too, where he will continue to be a thorn in her paw for a while before finally finding real love, or at least a mate he can settle down with. Eventually I'd love for them to have a reconciliation, of sorts. Though she wont ever think fondly of him, he is the only blood-relative she has left.

Name: Rhrorghast
Name Meaning/Relevance/Personality and History in One!: Rhrorghast was like any typical rogue male who would purposefully separate himself from his birth pride. He was born with a respiratory disease that limited his ability to help in his pride, and was constantly doted on by his family and pride members. Hateful for the fact he was named with such power, he strived to become a hunter. However, his day of redemption to prove his worth ended in fatality:

his younger sister,Haeda.

She new of his weaknesses, and watched him as he trained in secret. She followed every move and hoped that if he saw her strength in his eyes, he would not try so hard and further damage his lungs and inadvertently his heart. As he Rhrorghast made his move during a pride hunt, he was caught off guard by the herd stampeded. He tried running and getting out of the way, but was caught by his rear right leg and fell under the mass of weight beating down onto him. In a fateful display of affection and love for her brother, Haeda sacrificed her own life by pushing him out of the way so that he might be able to truly find where he was needed.

After losing his sister, the one he felt closest to, Rrorghast withdrew from his parents, friends and pride itself. From his health and from the grief that affected his entirety, he left his pride, grayed, older and silent.

Rrorghast now seeks something beyond what he knows, so that he might feel at peace.

Future Potential Plots:
What is Haeda never died and was only injured to the extent that her body took longer to recuperate? What if she now searched for him? What of the cause of the stampede, why did it start? Who was the male that sealed Rhrorghast's and Haeda's supposed fates? What kind of male is he, who would he become? Would he try to fix everything, track Rhrorghast and bring Haeda to him to again be reunited?

The SoA world may never know~

The Dark Boy...

name. Noeti
meaning. Taken from the name Menoetius, the Greek God of violent anger, rash action, and mortality.
pride. Rogue

personality. Like the God he is named after, Noeti has a short fuse, and is brash and violent in everything he does. It takes a lot to motivate him to do things for others, as he is very skeptical about strangers. Those he gets to know, however, are those that have gotten used to his rough nature, and he tries his best to ease up a bit around them. He is a loyal male when someone gains his trust, but that is an ordeal within itself.
history. Soon after Noeti was born, his mother died of dehydration. She was older when he was born, as well as his father. Growing up, Noeti was rarely allowed away from the den, and was constantly scolded by his father, and suffered the wrath from his own violent tendencies. It was his father's overbearing influence during his cubhood that caused for Noeti to be the way he is today, cold, harsh, and violent, because that is the only thing he knows.

Plots

o1: Someone who can take his anger and violent with a grain of salt, laughing it off with him and getting through it together.
o2: Someone who stays with him, but is continuously hurt by Noeti. Preferably female, they'd need to confront him eventually.

Thanks to all of y'all for taking the time to enter, I enjoyed reading through them all and it really wasn't an easy decision. Makes me wish I wasn't busy as hell cleaning/packing since I'm about to disappear for a week or so, I would've coloured up some runner-up prizes.

It was an extremely enjoyable contest Slander. So unique and a fun way to get the brain going. I had a lot of fun coming up with a plot and it was a wonderful break from up with an rp responce.
