It didn't take them long to reach the field. He glanced around but didn't see his father there. But that didn't surprise Kiran. His father chose different spots for variety when he took the falcons out for a flight. He was actually a little glad to see that his father hadn't chosen this field because he didn't want to deal with Zibaniz swooping down to try and peck at him.

Kiran cringed. "Lots of cleaning sounds kind of lousy." He didn't even enjoy the little bit of cleaning he had to do around his house. Then he smiled a little. "But I bet there's a lot of good hiding spots for hide-and-seek." He paused and glanced over at Xiu. "Really?"

He laughed when his attention was drawn away by Aditi, who was getting a little antsy. Even with the thick glove on, Kiran could feel her peck trying to tear its way through the glove as she tried to free the tethers from his hold. "Okay. Okay." He loosened his hold on her tethers, and Aditi leaped from his arm, soaring upward into the sky.
