Dia laughed at him as he giggled. She hadn't heard that noise from him before. She pouted at him as she was splashed, yet again, and looked at him. "Brought it to me huh! I can do that too!" she said as she splashed him back. She laughed at him and ran around as she tried to avoid getting splashed back if he tried to get water on her too. She wondered why he was so playful today, she didn't remember getting to play with him like this before, but maybe the other foal had something to do with that...

Premaz laughed as he played with the foal. it was a lot of fun, not fun than he had when he was just the nanny. he watched the foal play, noted the way her red hair shined in the morning sunlight. he splashed her one more time and then went back to the shore. he shook of the dripping water and let the sun do the rest. he looked back at his own reflection in the river. the blues and pinks that made up his colorful coat were his pride and joy, right next to his unique antlers. he was a thing of beauty.
Premaz looked back the the Dia child. spending most of his life as a stylist gave him some advantages in spotting beauties. of course he would never let anyone know of his previous life, male stylists arnt much needed anymore, in fact it is a commonly mocked position. Premaz did not care though. he like helping others feel beautiful.
he turned his thoughts back to the foal. how would she be when she grew up. it wouldnt be that much longer before her stick legs became strong and her build filled out to the size of an adult. he could not tell how long it would take, but he could see some other things. "hey, little deer child, come here and let me dry you off. it is still cold, no sickness in the nursery please." he smiled at her and beckoned her to come out of the water.

Dia had lots of fun playing with her pretty friend. She liked to watch the way he seemed to shimmer in the sunlight. His coat was so pretty and she was glad that she had colors that complemented his cause she felt pretty too. She bounced around in the water playing with him till he called her out. She pranced out of the water and headed over to him.
"Fine if your going to cut my play time short!" She said with a laugh as she shook out her coat and hair before moving closer to him. "What should we do after i'm all dry?" she asked as she lay in the grass and waited for him to dry her.

Premaz bent over her and began to lick the water from her fur. pushing it out with his tongue and then letting the sun do the rest. while he dried her he took careful notice of how her fur felt. it was sleek and still had the foal's softness about it. her colors were bright and seemed to be coming in nicely. he remembered when he was a foal, and his colors took a while to fully come in. it was not till adulthood that they were at their brightest. when he got to her neck he took this opportunity to look at the roots of her mane. they were quite healthy, but something was off. he licked her forehead and smiled at her. "clean and dry." in his mind was a picture of the adult Dia. her coat bright and sleek, her hooves strong, her tail fluffy, but her mane short. "let us go race in the meadow while we wait for the other foal to awake." he felt a little sad for the Dia child. nothing was as beautiful as a mare with long gorgeous hair. she would still be pretty, but it saddened him that she would not get to choose her length. he chose to keep his shorter, many people look great in short mane. he shook his head and smiled again at Dia, then turned and lead the way back to their home.

Dia smiled as she closed her eyes and enjoyed the petting and the cleaning. "Thanks Premaz!" she said when he was done. She smiled up at him and was up in a moment. "Race! Oh yes please!" She said as she pranced around and nodded. "I'd like that alot!" she said with a smile as she followed him. "He sure does like to sleep alot doesn't he? He never comes out to play for long in the early morning like us." she said with a smile as she pranced around him as they walked. She was looking forward to racing with him.

Premaz laughed and looked back at the little foal. "some are like beautiful song bird. they raise early so that they can take advantage of the day and sing for all to hear. others are like strong owls. they are best at night and use their strengths for good." he smiled as they reached the clearing. no one had woken besides a few early risers grazing a ways off. "every one is being different. it is finding were you fit that makes life fun." he bent down slightly to whisper in her ear. "as for me, i run. i run after little deer folk. always catch them, cause i am the fastest." he winked at her and then dashed off towards the thicket that was the nursery. he would slow down a bit to make it look like she might be able to win, but he would win in the end.

Dia smiled at him as she raced after him. He was so much fun! she loved playing with Premaz and his prettiness. She loved his antlers so much too! She smiled as she pranced and then dashes towards him when he started running. "Ohhh i'm still really fast remember! I might not win but i can keep up!" she said as she breathed through her nose to keep up with him. she laughed as she ran after him. She chased him all morning and never really won but she never lost sight of him either. She was looking forward to spending alot of time with him when she was older.
