Once over the salt box, it was a relatively easy trip for Galatea to pad her way in the direction that she remembered walking when she had entered. A bruised toe slowed her down at one point but she merely gritted her teeth and continued. She only hoped the door wouldn't be too heavy for her to push. Despite her claims to be quite strong, she knew that there were plenty of things in the big people's world that she couldn't yet move.
Reaching the door, she set her shoulder against it and shoved hard. When no light rewarded her, she frowned and pushed harder. Maybe it wasn't really moving and she had to put her back into it more.

Silva watched in amusement as they went back to back, chewing on his toothpick as he waited for his answer.
Aleric's face was stoic, his amusement only clear in his eyes. He took his place and held his staff in front of him, ready for an attack. Just in case.
"Um..." Soho said, thinking quickly. "Cherries?" She offered.
"That's one." Silva said. "Two more wrong guesses and you're out, darlin."
"Um... porno magazines?" She offered, making Aleric bite back a laugh.
"Strike two."

Hadrian felt like he ought to be holding a sword or something, but he didn't have anything that would suffice. Instead he concentrated on keeping up the dramatic lighting. He was quite familiar with this particular spell, but it still took some concentration to keep it going and directed. He didn't really expect Silva to attack, but he had seen alot of pictures on the cover of things where groups of hero's were all standing back to back facing a dramaticly dark space around them.
"I suppose light defeating shadow is too obvious and trite?" He said quietly to Aleric, trying to mimic the other adults stoic expression and uttery failing.

When the door swung suddenly open, Galatea screamed in shock as she tumbled out into black nothingness. Almost as soon as she started, though, she bit it off, eyes closed as her wings caught her descent and she hovered, hugging herself. Her arms tightened around her torso and she mentally chastised herself. What kind of cowardly feien cries because of darkness? She shouldn't be silly. Besides Silva would have heard that scream and, unless he was excessively busy with the others, he would come to stop her escape.
Panting softly, Galatea forced her eyes open. It was still dark but there was a small light in the distance. It looked like flame. Mr. Hadrian? Reassured, she flapped a bit until she landed lightly on the floor and felt until she found the front of the cabinets once more. There. Now it was time to be calm and move.

Silva was distracted by the cry and headed for the other little girl, ready to catch her if she didn't get ahold of her fall. But she did. He waited until she was on the ground to drop down behind her, whispering in her ear. "Going somewhere, darlin?"
Soho went still at the cry, automatically reaching up and grabbing the scale that hung from her neck. It gave her comfort when she wasn't feeling secure.
"Galatea?" Aleric called. "Are you okay?"

Hadrian had gone tense, frowning - an expression which looked odd on his face. He echoed Aleric's concern. "Galatea? We can stop if you want."

The juvenile had immediately gone rigid at the feel of Silva suddenly beside her once more, whispering in her ear. Her arms unwrapped from her body, hands in fists. Before she could lash out, though, Aleric and Hadrian's voices pierced the sudden fierce blaze and she swallowed heavily. Then she counted to ten because that is what you were supposed to do before you spoke when you had nearly lost your temper.
She barely felt the p***k of her nails in her palms as she took a step away from Silva and called out, "I am fine. I am trying to escape but I fear I have messed that up."
Then, suddenly, she closed her eyes and darted toward where she had last seen the glowing light. She knew that Silva was faster and stronger and, oh, he could see in the dark but she had promised and she would try. He had, after all, promised not to hurt her.

"I know the answer!" Soho said loudly, making Silva go still. "I know your weakness, Mister Silva Demon! So now you have to let her go!"
Silva grinned as he saw where her hand was, but he managed to sound defeated. "Alright, darlin. You win. You can have the princess back."
A clicking sound came, then the lights came on, blinding them all for a second as the generator kicked on. Soho squeed happily and ran towards Galatea. "We won!" She cried, grabbing for the other girl's hands. "We won!"
"It wasn't light that won this time." Aleric said to Hadrian with a little grin. But he didn't go on.
