::: 7th Period :: Freshman and Sophomores ::: Ranulf enters his class yet again to wait for students to show up. HE looks to his desk and notices a new student pamphlet sitting there. He opens the paper and reads the name as Bea and that she is a freshman, it goes on to list her race and what not but all he wants to know from the paper is what to call her when he welcomes her to the class.

Ranulf looked up as a random sprite came flying into his classroom with another set of papers in it's hands, "Nother, new student huh? Seems we've picked up recently" he took the papers from the sprite and looked at them to see Rae on them and he stashed the papers with his other students in his file cabinet and watched the srpite leave his room.

Ranulf enters his room with a stack of papers, "Student's moving on from this class and new ones coming in," he sighs, "just means it's time to go through some paperwork," he sets the stack of papers on his desk and looks around the empty room, "I just wish the students had shown more initiative in the class, most of them won't be able to tell what makes for human and what's a human disguise without this class," He sits down behind his desk and puts his head in his hands, shaking his head trying to figure out a way to get through to all the little monsters as they were.

Syla walked into the classroom slowly at first. This was the last class of the day, but he didn't seem very well to teach. "Um excuse me sir. Are you alright?" She asked softly, seeing his head in his hands. That was usually a sign of stress or sadness. She had a green tint to he skin, but being so far away from home it wasn't strong. If you where not attentive enough you wouldn't even notice it. And if you where far off you wouldn't of seen it either. She remained at the door o he room though. Wanting to make sure he wanted her in the classroom before entering.

Ranulf looked up at the girl with a smile, "Um... yea, yeah I'm fine. I was just ... lost in thought. Please come in," he said gesturing with a wide arm half standing as he moved his hand out toward the few desks that were positioned around the globe table in the center of the room, "I am very pleased to see that I still have students interested in what I have to offer," he shrugged a bit with a slight chuckle then ran his hand through his hair as he sat back down lazily, "Not that I really have that much to truly offer."

Syla nodded and gave a small, sweet smile in return. Glad to know that her teacher wasn't going to be depressed the whole class period. She followed his directions and walked inside taking no seat in particular to look back up to him to see he started talking again. "I think this class is a wonderful idea. I only know what I've heard of humans. I don't encounter them often. I would love to know what you can teach me." She said with a smile. If she could learn how to hide her green tint on her skin then maybe she could go see Japan like Haikimaru said she should. And also frankly, she didn't know the side of humans that could be nice and kind. She just knew the kind that cut down her trees and killed helpless things.

"I'm pleased to hear so," he tilted his head a bit in thought, "Human studies is all about how to fit in with humans on their side of the veil. Whether it be perfecting shape-shifting or knowing what time of day to go out or even where to hang out to not attract as much attention. I find my favorite place to bring students is a Renaissance Festival, because humans expect everyone in attendance to dress up as fantasy creatures or bar wenches and wear lots of makeup to complete the appearance." He stood fully now and moved to the globe table touching the USA, "Search Renaissance Festival," he spoke clearly as the globe came to live with images of Ren. Fests all over the USA and he moved his finger away, "Everything you see on the globe is currently happening as we speak. Anything you ask it to find it will do so in real time unless you specify a previous date in time for it to go to," he smiled at Syra and stood off to the side of the globe so he didn't block her view of it. Reaching under the globe he pulled out a small spiral notebook and set it on her desk, "This is the only book needed for this course." The spiral notebook wasn't actually a note book it was more like a work study book. The cover had a picture of a nymph hiding in leaves looking out with sharp blue colored eyes. The title was etched in gold leaving and read: Human Study Log Book. Flipping through the pages one would find various questions about why certain cultures did things certain ways, and how best to blend in with each of these cultures. Each Log book a student had was specific to their own culture. The nymph representative of forest dwellers.

Syla listened to him explain what most of this class is about. The teachers were allowed to take students outside the veil? That actually sounded like a lot of fun. She let him talk about the festival then onto a magic globe of some sort. She looked intently at the globe before turning to look at him as he set a book down on her desk. She gently ran her hand over the page, feeling the small carvings from the words. It was a beautiful notebook, even if it was just the decorative cover. She looked back up to him and smiled. "Well that Renaissance Festival seems really fun. I can't wait to see if I'll get to go. And the book is beautiful. But I know some humans like dying their hair weird colors, but what about my skin? It will be a lot brighter on earth. And even more so if we are anywhere close to my forest." Unlike some places her tree wasn't in a town. It was close to some, but tended to be a nice hiking place. And had yet to have people come to try and cut it down. Less violence for them to have to deal with. But of course they would if it kept the trees safe.

Ranulf chuckled a bit, "I could see where you would think that would be a problem," he touched the globe again, "Refine to Elven sectors," removing his finger as the globe started show specifically forest areas of the Ren Fests, "Look at the people here. A good percentage of them have quite a bit of green or pale blue on their skin, though every person you see in the globe is human. Any non-human would show up with a glowing orb floating around their head that's the base color of their essence," he looked into the globe for a moment, "There we are, green orb," he touched the screen where the green child was, "Follow" he said clearly and the globe started following the green child around, "As you can see this forest child has a pale green tint to his skin, similar to your skin. Hardly anyone is staring at him. Most seem to be wanting him to act out his part more like they would expect forest creatures to behave, but they don't comment about his skin color or anything like that." Ranulf let the globe follow the green child around for a bit as he continued to talk more about what goes on at Ren Fests. Then he dove further into details about how humans would expect actors to be more like us magical beings.

Syla watched as he explained that at these Fests people color their skin to just dress up. So should she just use contact with humans if she was at a fun festival? She did smile though, seeing a forest child with green skin like hers wander around with the humans, nothing out of place. "They can't tell a difference? That's great!" She said watching the globe. She listened to him talk, intently actually. She found it fascinating to learn about the place where she could easily fit in with all the humans, then more about the expectations of a certain type of humans called actors to be like herself and the other forest creatures. When he was done talking at the moment she had a question to bring up to him. "So is there a way to color my skin temporarily if I want to go into a big city? Like Tokyo?" The only reason she picked that name was because it was one of the only cities she knew outside of the little ones by her. And it was mentioned by one of the first people she met here.

Ranulf thought for a moment, "I'm not sure if body paint would cover it completely or not, but we can try if you wish to. I can put in a request to get some body paint from out there brought here for you though," he touched the globe again "Tokyo, Japan" it was now night time in Japan so the city was alive with all the lights and whatnot all over the place. and of course one could make out a random street race in a couple of the images.

Syla listened and scrunched up her face in confusion for only a second. It was a good thing she was taking this class, because she obviously needed it. She didn't really know what body paint was. Sure she guessed it was paint that went on your body, but did it stay? Stain? Hurt her, chip, or even water resistant? Well the last one she didn't really need to know, but what if she was walking through a busy intersection and it rained and she all of a sudden turned green? That might not be the easiest situation to explain. "I would greatly appreciate it." She said simply watching as he went to the globe again. She took a look at it, amazed by how bright it was for being dark. There really wasn't a need for light and she was fine with it. Let the sun do its thing. Besides the intervals of night and day would help the plants grow and be healthier. To much light, they wither in the heat, to much darkness, the wither in the cold.

Ranulf moved to his desk to pull open a drawer and scribble down a not to himself on a pad of paper in the drawer. He looked at Syla's face noting that she was highly interested in the area the globe was now showing her. "I made a note to myself to plan a trip to the outer world at the end of the semester for my students, and to get some body paints brought in," he said as he walked back towards the center of the room, "Unfortunately class is about to end. What I want you to do now, is read through the first section in the book and answer the questions that go with it. It's only about 10 pages of reading. However, As you read it I also want you to think on how you would best fit into this particular culture," Ranulf touched the globe again and said, "Bergen, Norway. I'm going to leave this on a place mentioned in the first chapter since it has to do with Vikings and how they used to worship ... us" he hesitated to say the last word as he hadn't yet grown accustomed to being a Lycan yet.

5 Years Later
Ranulf walked into the class room for the first time this year to make changes to the appearance of his classroom. He brought out his stack of books on different human cultures and started with placing those on the shelving He knew he didn't have long but hoped that his studies over the vacation would help the class better this year than they had any past years. He stepped through into his office for a moment to put his personal books in there before he continued to organize and place objects around the room.

As Ranulf continued to organize he heard a group of footsteps come into the room. He knew who was in there with him before he turned to look at the pack he had found and brought here last year. He had told the school that he had taken them under his wing and that they would be staying with him. None of them had enrolled in classes yet, so he was rather surprised to see them actually in the school. All four of them started setting things from the boxes onto the shelves randomly, but neatly. The room was decorated well before the first bell for school rang, which meant Ranulf had time to spare. He knew when he had to be back in the classroom to start class so he took the stroll with his pack back to their camp.
These are the pack the name under the image is the character name from "la corda d'oro" anime, not their name in this rp. If you want to use these images to create your own character their race would be lycan and they would look up to Ranulf as a pack leader. I also did a slight graphics enhancement on their eyes.
